It was a wonderful morning to start the day. The birds were chirping and the sun was shining brightly on the clear blue sky. The adults went to work while the kids studied in the schools.
But as for our great hero, a.k.a. The Traveller, also a.k.a. Lumine, it was the day for her to take a rest from the long and exhausting travelling across Tevyat. She would sleep until noon. Unfortunately, today was not the day for her to follow what she desired as she was woken up by the nice aromatic smell that spread through the house. But lucky to Lumine, she knew who was the culprit for breaking her sleep and where to find him.
"Ajax!" She shouted, her arms around the taller man's waist from behind, interrupting the man who was preparing to cook the breakfast for both of them.
"Good morning printsessa." Ajax smiled, turning off the stove so that it wouldn't accidentally burn himself and the girl he loved.
"Good morning, Ajax~" Lumine beamed the brightest smile to her lover who received a 250% critical damage solely by her smile. The taller man still couldn't stand against his wife whenever she made that face. Heck his heart still throbbed faster than ever when Lumine called by his real name.
“Why are you awake so early? We had a long, enjoyable night yesterday.” The man turned around to face his petite girlfriend whose face was burning intensely from the memories last night.
Ajax smirked. He likes teasing her and his teasing always ended up with getting hit by Lumine. Today was no different.
“Ouch~~ Alright alright. I’m sorry. But seriously you should rest more.”
“I can’t sleep! Not without…”
“Without me being by your side?” Ajax interrupted and was quickly pushed away.
“No. Not without having a delicious breakfast!” Lumine said, a cute giggle escaping her lips.
“Never thought I would lose to breakfast one day…” Ajax sighed, letting go the girl who quickly sat down to wait for the food.
The man returned to cooking again. He turned on the fire, waiting for the pot to heat up before he put the ingredients he prepped. Chilumi household always had simple breakfast most of the time. Normally due to their busy schedule as adventurers. But since today was their rest day, Ajax decided to go for something more complex. To be more specific, his specialty dish - Calla Lily Seafood Soup.
Lumine hummed while watching her boyfriend cook. It was a rare sight for a battle maniac to wear an apron but it was indeed a great view for Lumine. The combination of white t-shirt and the pink apron (with some chibi whale picture on it) just made the man look cute and handsome somehow.
Maybe she should let Ajax wear an apron without any shirt beneath. That would be hot. But maybe next time. Maybe someday when they ask someone to take care of their… wait…
“Ajax, where are they?” The girl asked, panicking a little.
“They went to run an errand for me.” Ajax replied, turning his head to look at her. “Is there anything wrong?”
“You let them go to run an errand for you just themselves?” Lumine raised an eyebrow.
“Well, Paimon is with them but somehow I think they will look after Paimon instead of Paimon looking after them.”
“I guess you have a point. They can take down Andrius by themselves so I guess running an errand should be okay.”
“That’s right. So relax, Lu.” Ajax chuckled, walking towards Lumine before hugging the girl close to his chest. “They’re strong. After all, they are the fruits of our love.”
“Ajax…”
Ajax put a hand on the back of Lumine’s head and leaned his head down before planting a kiss on her lips. The kiss gave warmth and joy to them. They enjoyed the kiss like always. It was short but affectionate, more than enough to make their hearts beat faster than ever.
“I love you, Lumine.” Ajax smiled.
“Love you too, Ajax.” Lumine replied, smiling as they hugged again. They broke apart after only a short while, a faint blush dusted their cheeks.
“Hey, we’re back!” A girl shouted as soon as the door was opened. Ajax and Lumine turned their heads to look at the gluttony fairy (?) who was carrying a bag of groceries with her tiny hands.
And she was not alone. She had acquaintances. Short and adorable acquaintances where one was a boy with beautiful golden hair just like Lumine and clear blue eyes like Ajax, whereas another one was a shorter girl tied her orange hair with golden streaks into a ponytail and has heterochromia, one blue one gold.
“Papa, Mama, we’re back!”
The house was lively instantly as soon as the children and Paimon came back. Ajax and Lumine couldn’t help but giggled at the heartwarming scene before them.
“Alright guys. Let’s have breakfast!”
“YAY!!!”
