“Why does the water smell so…” Charlie’s mouth quirks up in uncertainty, “Fruity?” A few snorts from both Cloudy and Marley makes her wonder if she had just been poisoned. If so, this wouldn’t have been the first time. “Cloudy, Marley… Please tell me you did not put another poison in my drink,” she says, sighing.
“What- what makes you think that?” Cloudy barely says before ducking her head to hide another laugh. Marley giggles under her breath as well. Caspian is simply watching this unfold, yet also ready to get the antidote in case it actually escalates. He has a slight smile on his face as Charlie looks at him, trying to get some help over here.
Shrugging, he goes back to reading ‘How to get Bitches’ however his eyes don’t move along the lines at all. “You guys are trying to gaslight me! I just know that you’ve put something in my drink,” Charlie says and turns her attention back to the two suspicious culprits. Cloudy snorts a loud laugh, holding her stomach while chuckling.
“Like- like we-” She bursts into laughter once more. “Like we put… Put tiny tiny gay people in your dr-” Cloudy roars before able to finish her sentence. Marley laughs as well, almost choking on her own spit. This causes both of them to laugh even more. A shiver rolls down Charlie’s spine and cold sweat is tormenting her.
Suddenly she stands up, slight maniac desperateness in her eyes. The laughter stops. Caspian looks up from his book. All three waiting for Charlie to say something. And she opens her mouth, raising a finger as well. Before she faints. And bangs her head against a cabinet behind her.
“Hey guys! I got some ne-” I finally open the door. Walking inside and chaos interrupts my sentence. Cloudy yelling while grabbing her head with panic. Caspian rushing to check on the cabinet. Marley fidgeting with something in her hands. And there I was. Unsure what had just happened before my arrival and why I decided this was the best time to be here.
Oh! I suppose I should introduce you to my dear, dear family.
First off, we have Mother Pearl. They prefer to be titled and called Mother instead of Don. Mother Pearl is the head of our family and makes sure that we’re safe!
Then, second in command is Caspian! He usually does some tasks and stuff behind the scenes. For example… Arranging… things. I’m not too sure myself.
Ace of J, also short for J, is the consigliere for Mother Pearl. She gives them advise, suggestions… almost like a right hand man!
After that is Charlie, chaotic but kind. She’s the intelligence division leader. It’s kind of like… gathering intel? I could be wrong, but it has to do something with intelligence, right?
Marley is our drug dealer! Well technically she’s titled drugs division leader. Kind of like Charlie but drugs instead of intel. This includes: poison and antidotes mostly.
Cloudy is second to last and also the illegal auctions tycoon. She does some sneaky stuff oftentimes. Like illegally selling stuff. Very sneaky and illegal.
And lastly, there’s me! I’m Bean and I make sure we have the right weapons to execute our jobs perfectly! I try to do my job to the best I can since my family puts a lot of their trust in me.
“What is happening in- OH MY GOD,” Mother Pearl suddenly also enters. Instantly turning pale when seeing what has happened. Apparently, after much panic, Cloudy explained to me that she and Marley wanted to prank Charlie again. Unfortunately… it did not went well. Charlie fainted, fell backwards and hit her head on the cabinet.
Marley almost dropped the antidote on the ground, but luckily it was solved!
Thankfully Caspian rushed over to check on Charlie and keeping the situation from escalating even more. However, he had a big grin on his face afterwards. Charlie and Mother Pearl didn’t see the humour in this possible deadly situation. In the end, Mother Pearl scolded both Cloudy and Marley.
“I understand your tendency for brave yet reckless behaviour, especially when executing this plan to affect Charlie. However, I do not condone it!” They pinch their nose bridge, sighing. “You could’ve killed her, you two. Just… Just make sure that you don’t repeat this again and Caspian isn’t there to save her.”
Cloudy and Marley nod. J then finally enters the room, unaware of the moment taking place right now. “Anyone wanna go grocery shopping? I”m craving some fruits today,” she says, fully oblivious. Charlie hears her mention ‘fruits’ and panics immediately. Saying something along the lines of:
“The fruity are coming for me, they are coming to get me.”
Mother Pearl goes over to her and tries to comfort Charlie. Caspian shaking his head with a playful smile. And after all this, I forgot the news I wanted to tell them. I managed to secure a huge vault of weapons for the future. From long ranged like guns, snipers and so, to close ranged weapons like knives and daggers.
Oh yeah! I might’ve forgotten the mention our family business!
