"Olson, grab the cooler!" Danny yelled to Olson, who was watching the waves caress the sand and the clouds slowly pass through the sky. Olson walked up the hill and went into their little yellow house. He struggled to get past all the treasures on the floor. He grabbed the heavy cooler and tottered back outside.
He put it in their small motorboat. Watching his amazing husband teach Junior how to drive the boat made him smile. He patted Danny on the shoulder and went back to watch the sea.
Later, Danny sat down next to him and smiled. Olson held his hand and grinned back. It was peaceful as it always was. Their little house, little family, and treasures they've been collecting. It was the one thing both of them ever wanted throughout the years.
"Dad, I need help!" Junior yelled from across the beach. Danny gave Olson a kiss on the head and went to help Junior.
The sun started setting, and Junior and Danny finally got the boat in the water. They all hopped on with some fishing rods and bait. Junior started driving. Just as Danny taught him. They were going to have the best family fishing night ever. Danny sat next to Junior to help him if he needed anything. Olson stood and kept a lookout for anything. After some cruising, they finally found the perfect spot for fishing. Calm, quiet, and peaceful.
Olson got his fishing rod, put some bait on it, and started fishing. As did Junior and Danny. That day was when Junior caught his first fish. Danny grabbed his little camera to snap a photo of Junior with his fish. He had the biggest smile as he got his picture taken. Olson congratulated his son and took the camera to look at the picture. Danny looked at it too. Junior threw the fish back into the water.
Olson wrapped his arm around Danny, and together they watched Junior happily fish.
