How do noble intentions turn bad?
The perfect prince: honorable, dutiful, capable, and fearless. This is what Aemond has always strived for. The King is growing sicker each day now, and the question of his succession looms large. In the years leading to the Dance of Dragons, Aemond is filled with a mounting sense of fear and unrest. He finds himself abandoning the idea of a perfect prince, and becoming something darker in order to defend those he loves. Aemond’s mother, his sister Helaena, and his lover, a young leatherworker, try to remind Aemond of his morality. But, will ego cloud Aemond’s judgment? Will his desire to protect, lead his family, The Realm, and himself to demise? Or can this prince change his fate?Characters are slightly aged up, but other than that mostly canon compliant. No spoilers for the show or book until later, but I’ll warn you beforehand!
