"MJ we have to be back at 4 it's 3:25 now" Peter said for the 5th time.
Peter 1 and 3 had been invited to spend Christmas with the couple in their universe. They had left earlier that afternoon to gather a few last minute gifts since Peter had received a Christmas bonus from the Daily Bugle (JJ Jameson giving him a bonus was Christmas miracle in itself).
"I know Pete I'm just doing one last look around I won't be long I promise we'll get back on time" She said squeezing his hand know he'd appreciate the pressure to calm his nerves.
"Okay but it's Christmas eve the stores are closing early and I told my brothers we'd be back by four and I don't want them to worry about us" He rambled
"And we will make it" MJ smiled warmly kissing his cheek "Besides you could swing us home if you wanted too and we'd get their in 5 minutes" She pointed out
"I guess so but I love walking with you more" He said.
"Okay tiger let's go and look in this shop and we'll get going"
The pair strolled into a candy shop with all sorts of decorated Christmas chocolates and candies.
"Oh I think the boys would love these" MJ said pointing out some reindeer shaped chocolates
"Peter 1 would but Peter 3 is more a candy guy than a chocolate guy... how about these gum drops"
"Alright" MJ beamed
After making their quick purchase Peter and MJ walked home looking the blinking Christmas lights on all the houses MJ looked at Peter's dazzled blue eyes as he looked in awe at all the decorations and smiled fondly at her husband. She turned his head to face her and kissed him sweetly, Peter blushed softly.
"Come on we're almost there" MJ said.
The couple walked up to their house, Peter set down his bags and went to open the door with his key but was beaten too it as an energised Peter 1 opened the door.
"Hey welcome home" He smiled "I'll get those for you" He said picking up the bags.
"Thanks Petey" MJ said.
MJ and Peter 1 went into the kitchen as Peter 2 went to the living room to find Peter 3 in front of the DVR
"Oh hey you're back" Peter 3 said turning to him "I've got home alone queued up for us to watch"
"Sounds great" Peter 2 said dipping into one of his shopping bags "MJ and I got you these a little treat"
"Aww gum drops thanks man" Peter 3 grinned
"Oh it's nothing it was MJ's idea an-"
"Peter 2" Peter one burst into the room excitedly "3 and I made cookies and I iced them with our faces on see"
Peter 1 held up a cookie that was neatly decorated to look like his spider-man mask.
"Oh my god this is adorable and so good thanks buddy"
"Isn't it cool? Better than the ones I tried to make my santa looked more like one of his reindeer after they'd flown all around the world" Peter 3 joked making the other two laugh.
"Hey boys I'm making some hot cocoa do you guys want some?" MJ called from the kitchen
"Yes please" The three of then said at once
"I'll come and help you" Peter 3 offered heading to the kitchen
"Oh I also got you this chocolate reindeer" Peter 2 said pulling it out of his bag and giving it to Peter 1
"Wow thank you" Peter 1 said gratefully, however Peter 2 noticed his smile falter a little.
"Hey what's wrong... sit down talk to me" Peter 2 urged
"Well" Peter 1 began as he sat with Peter 2 on the couch "I miss my Aunt a lot and I'm really thankful that you and MJ invited me to spend Christmas it's just..."
"Everything reminds you of her at this time of year?" Peter 1 nodded "Yeah I get that I miss my Aunt too but I like to do everything we used to do together all the happy things she always just wanted us to be happy" Peter 2 said
"Yeah she did" Peter 1 agreed "It's just hard" He said resting his head on Peter 2's shoulders.
"I know bud" Peter 2 said bringing a hand to the younger's shoulder "But hey we have each other and we'll make Christmas fun for you promise"
Peter 1 smiled softly wrapping his arms around Peter 2 the elder gave him a hug back as Peter 3 and MJ came out of the kitchen with a tray of hot cocoa and cookies.
"Alright here we go" MJ said putting the tray down
"Thanks this looks great" Peter 2 said as MJ sat down next to him, he put his arm around her and kissed her forehead.
"Ew do you mind there are children here" Peter 3 says gesturing to Peter 1.
"Dude I'm 18" He whined "And besides you-"
"Shhh child I'm starting the movie" Peter 3 hushed.
The four of them curled up on the sofa contently watching the movie Peter 2 looked at his family and smiled softly to himself at how soft and relaxed they all looked in the TV glow he silently thanked the universe that they could all peacefully be together on this holiday.
