Work Text:
The click clack of a cane sounded throughout the old school halls.
Tommy stood still.
Voices greeted and chatted beyond the door.
Tommy stood still.
The doors opened to reveal Dream’s guest.
Tommy, in sync with the rest of the kids kneeled.

The sound of the cane reverberated through the deafening silence.
He stared at the floor. The sweat in his plans made them slippery as he held them to his body. His foot hurt from yesterday’s training and he was hungry.

Despite the growing amount of sweat on his back the room was cold. The pit of his stomach flipped with anxiety and hungry. They hadn’t had breakfast yet.

The cane was coming closer. Now he could hear the slight tap of dress shoes along the floor. He dared a side look at Purpled. He stared resolutely at the floor in front of him. He continued staring as the guest came closer.
At first, he was black shoes. The guest’s feet were smaller than Tommy thought they would be. Of course Tommy had never really thought about his shoe size before so that was reassuring enough. The point of his cane rested by Tommy as he stopped.
He hadn’t stopped for anyone else.
Tommy began to panic. He had his uniform on correctly. His chores were done and he’d even brushed his hair out for this. What was wrong?
The guest had emerald green pant legs which surely matched his suit but Tommy did dare risk moving his eyes.

The guest moved away from him and the rest of the children. His cane still making that annoying clacking against the hard floor.
There was more silent shuffling and the doors opened with a creek and shut loudly. He was gone. Tommy let out a breath of relief.
______
Training continued as normal. Tommy’s group was currently in combative training.
They kept on going over foot placement. It wasn’t very hard. Easy to some of the stuff they had done before. Tommy switched from one foot to another with relative ease.
The the door opened.
The doors echoed yet again but not as loudly as earlier that day. The kids in his group stopped what they were doing to look at the person who’s come in.
Dream stood in the entrance way. Tight faced and clearly upset about something. His red eyes that marked him as a vampire shining brightly. “Thomas Innes” Dream called out.
The blonde let out a huff. He didn’t want to go with Dream. Most likely the other man had found something wrong with how his bed was made of his uniform done.
Nevertheless he dropped what he was doing and followed Dream as he turned and stalked away.
The teen was lead to a staircase which left him out of breath and tired once he reached the top. Dream turned to him and reached out.
Months ago, a Tommy who was younger would’ve flinched away and cursed at the older man. Now he stood still and waited at the man patted his hair down a doubled checked his uniform.
He didn’t question as to why he was being dragged around the castle and his uniform fussed over. Sure his mind nagged at what was going on but who was be to question Dream?
“For the love of The Lady herself, don’t make a fool of yourself” the older told him.
Tommy nodded resolutely as Dream finished trying to smooth out his hair. Then he put his hand on the door knob and twisted.
His feet felt numb as they crossed from hardwood floor to soft carpet. It was dark, extremely dark. The dark oak that surrounded the office was expected, no lights illuminated the space, vampires worked in the dark after all.
Tommy blinked trying to adjust his eyes to no avail. He shuffled his feet unsure if he was going to run into anything.
A low chuckled sounded from the opposite side of the room. Tommy snapped his head to the sound. It was useless. There was no way he could see anything, or anyone.
Dream stepped away from his and crossed the room. Tommy’s heart rate picked up as his last hope of defending himself left his side.
“I always forget how little you humans see” that same voice spoke up from the same place. Tommy turned to it again. The words seemed to have a double edged meaning engraved into terminology.
A light flick of a corner lamp turned on. Purely for his comfort, nobody else needed it. Dream stood by the light, his face a swirling mask of carefully conducted calculations.
Tommy still stood near the door. It wouldn’t help if he tried to escape though, if someone in this room wanted him dead, he would be.
Four people were in front of him.
Dream of course, behind his desk, hands neatly interlaced with each other. Two figures lazily sitting in the chairs across the table from Dream, and the fourth figure standing against a bookshelf. Tommy could make out details of any of them. Just brief shapes.
“Wil, move please” the first man said. It wasn’t really a command but his voice held authority and power. If this was a coven, the first man was surely the Sire.
The second- Wil, stood up. His feet gently tapping along to the floor to stand next to the third figure. Now that he saw the two figures standing together he could guess the roles of each of them.
The first one was the Sire, second was provider and caretaker, the third was definitely protecter. It was easy to tell by each of their stances and size which role they would naturally take.
“Come sit down” The must be Sire told the teen. The blond stepped forward and lowered himself into the chair.
In the low light it was difficult to make out what the Sire looked like. Blond hair and red eyes gleamed in the dark. He was finely dressed but that was the only thing his eyes were able to decipher.
“Tell me about yourself” The older man said. Tommy looked at where Dream would be sitting. Silently asking for permission to speak.
Dream began a sentence but was quickly cute off the Sire. “I want the boy to tell me. Not you.” He stated, a hint of resentment laced in his tone.
Tommy’s hands began to sweat. He took a deep breath and began what was drilled into his head.
“Thomas Innes, fourteen years old, earth heart alignment-“
He was cut off by the second figure. “Something we don’t know”
Embarrassment filled his checks as he stared down at the floor. What was he supposed to say? He spared a glance at Dream. He smiled tightly, which was great. Just fucking great. Tommy internally knew he was going to get his ass kicked for being like this.
“Wil, don’t be rude” the Sire said offhandedly. “Where were you born?”
“Northern islands, sir”
The sire nodded to himself.
“How old were you when you joined the academy?”
“Six, sir”
“And I understand you came from the foster care system?”
“That would be me” he chuckled, desperately hoping none of them heard how forced it was.
“Here the most important question,” The sire said as he leaned forward. Tommy could now make out his face.
His face was almost comforting. Like his brain should want to cling to him, but that’s the trick with vampires. Beauty hiding deep fangs.
“If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be?” He asked.
This caught him off guard. He hadn’t been many places before. The beach was too hot and sand always found it’s way into places it should not be. Cities were too crowded and always made him uncomfortable. He really didn’t know because he simply didn’t know what he enjoyed.
“Somewhere with big trees,” he finally stated. The idea of being safe under a haven on leafs and branches made him feel warm inside. The small sounds bird and bugs would make and the feeling of soft dirt on his feet made him content.
“Why?”
“I’ve never been to a large forest before sir. I like plants” he replied simply.
The Sire nodded to himself again and turned to his covenmates. Silence filled the room as the coven thought.
“Dream, be a dear and take Thomas to his dorm while me and my coven discuss these matters,” The Sire smiled condescendingly.
Dream plastered a thin smile over his face. Red eyes gleaming with malice as he stood and strode towards his student’s side.
Tommy waited until a hand was placed on his shoulder. A quite command to rise. The teen rapidly rose to his feet and followed Dream.
Once again, the soft carpet turned to hardwood floor as they descended the steps. Dream, was light on his feet, while Tommy clanked down noisily.
Once they reached the empty dorms Dream left him. He said to wait until they reached a verdict but Tommy genuinely had no fucking clue what was going on.
“Sir?” He questioned.
Dream snapped to look at him sharply. He’d spoken with permission which was a big no no but Tommy’s curiosity over that.
“What’s going on?” He pleaded. He didn’t enjoy how pathetic he sounded. Like a wounded bird chirping out for help.
“That’s on a need to know basis” Dream replied taking a step closer. “Now, don’t you ever dare speak out of line like that again” he threaten as he raised a hand to strike him. The blow came as quickly as it left. Leaving behind a red mark on his face. He tasted metal on his tongue as he tried to keep a level head. He nodded his apologies before Dream left him alone again.
There wasn’t much to do in the dorm. Tommy went to the bathroom to wash the blood in his mouth while Dream was Lady knows where with that odd Sire and his coven.
Tommy returned from the bathroom, the taste of toothpaste still on his mouth. He sighed as he lazily sulked over to his bed.
“Did he hit you?”
Tommy nearly jumped out of his skin as he whirled to find the source of the noise. The teen raised his hands to defend himself as he spun around finding nobody.
“My apologies,” the voice sounded again. Tommy slowly raised his head to find the second figure above him, lazily standing upside down on the ceiling.
Tommy stared up at him in shock. None of his instructors were able to walk on walls, especially not upside down.
The man expertly released himself from the ceiling and landed on the floor gracefully. His brown hair, similar to Tommy’s with its bouncy curls pushed to the side was slightly ruffled. He was finely dress in a deep blue turtle neck and trench coat.
This was the second figure in odd Sire’s coven. Standing right in front of him. Staring at him intensely with those deep red eyes. They were bright ruby red like Dream’s or even cherry red like Puffy. His eyes were dark crimson, easily mistakable for brown. Clearly the coven came from old blood.
“I would still like an answer,” the vampire inquired.
Tommy blinked trying to remember what he had asked. The adrenaline in his blood hadn’t stopped flowing and he radiated fear.
He opened and closed his mouth stupidly trying to form an answer.
“Did he slap you?” He asked again.
All Tommy could do was nod.
The older hummed in displeasure. “Come here please”
Tommy took an uncertain step forward.
The vampire before him extended a claw, making Tommy want to back away even more.
He closed his eye as he smelled the crimson metallic scent of blood in the air.
Then a gentle hand grazed over the cute on his lip. “Don’t lick it,” the Burnett instructed as he stepped back.
Tommy opened his eyes to see the vampire putting a bandaid over his already closing wound on his wrist. His lip tingled with magic as the cut healed itself and went away.
“I’m Wilbur by the way, lovely to make your acquaintance, I hope the odd behavior of our coven hasn’t disturbed you. We don’t enjoy being in another coven’s home.” He sighed as he turned to Tommy’s bunk.
“We leave soon, if you could kindly pack your bags, I’m sure my is eager to leave” Wilbur told him nonchalantly.
He’s leaving? Since when? To do what? Was he even considered heavy enough for a good meal?
Wilbur sat on the bunk adjacent to his and kicked his feet waiting for Tommy. The teen then realized he needed to hurry up because he was 78% positive that these people just bought him or some shit to go back home a eat him.
It wasn’t very hard. He had seven pairs of everything except shoes. It all fit neatly in a duffel bag which sat on his shoulder as he stood to meet Wilbur.
The vampire was gone. Tommy glanced up at the ceiling to find it very vampire clear and nobody in sight. Then he peered around his bed towards the door.
Wilbur stood there, balancing in the balls of his feet waiting for Tommy.
“Ready?” He called out to the teen.
Tommy nodded hastily walking up to the older.
Wilbur nodded happily as he pushed the door open and walked through the halls towards the main entrance.
Once they were by the grand doors Wilbur pulled out his phone. “So trees?
Tommy turned to him with a puzzled expression.
“Trees, big ones, that’s what you want to see?”
Tommy nodded.
Wilbur stared at him for a few moments longer. “Anything else? What kind of trees?”
Tommy turned his gaze to the ground. He hadn’t expected for his answer to be put under a microscope.
“You can speak by the way. I don’t know what the hell they drilled into you but I know Phil isn’t happy about it.”
That must be the Sire, Tommy concluded.
“I guess I like rivers. Not beaches, rivers.” He told Wil, his voice a fraction of his normal volume.
“Do you like pine trees, oak trees?” He questioned.
Tommy shrugged, he didn’t mind.
Then Wil turned his head, Tommy following his gaze.
The Sire and third figure were making their way down the stairs along with Dream.
“It was an honor to have you here and if things don’t work out I’m sure we are more than willing to take him-“ Dream was cut off by the third figure.
His dark turtleneck matched Wilbur’s, with the same trench coat as his coven mate. The only difference between the two seemed to be their size and the third had pink hair braided down his side. His crimson eyes locked onto Dream with murderous intent. Fine jewelry hung from his skin as he descended the staircase. “That won’t be necessary,”
They reached the end of the staircase. Dream nervously following in their footsteps. If Tommy didn’t know any better, he would’ve guessed he was scared.
“In fact, none of these kids will be a problem anymore.” He lamented. “Wilbur, be a dear and take Tommy to the car. The headmaster and I have some words to exchange” The Sire’s words were clipped with a hint of anger as Wilbur nodded and nodded pulling out an umbrella to step into the sun. Now that he finally got a good look at the Sire, he recognized his shoes from that morning. This was the guest.
A light hand grazed his shoulder as the door opened.
“Thomas, it’s time to leave” Wilbur insisted. Tommy wordlessly followed him through the doors.
They stepped out into the warm sunlight. Wilbur let out a dissatisfied hiss at the sun as if personally insulted him.
Two people stood outside that car. Their red eyes locking onto him. The shorter of the two stepped forward with his umbrella in hand.
“Allow me to take that sir”
Tommy held his bag tighter. Was he a sir now?
“They won’t steal anything sunshine,” Wilbur assured as he stepped towards the car. The other person opened the car door as Wilbur stepped in.
Tommy reluctantly handed his duffle bag over to the short umbrella man(servant?)
Then he turned to join Wilbur in the car. It seemed to be some weird cross between a hearse and a limo. The windows were tinted enough to block out nearly all the light.
The teen let out a puff of air as the door to the car shut.
“Oh I’m so glade to be out of that school, gives me the ick” Wilbur exclaimed.
Tommy nodded with him. He hadn’t truly realized it but it felt like he was taking deeper calmer breaths than he had been in a long time. Even if he was doomed to be someone’s dinner at least he wouldn’t be stressed about it.
After five minutes in the car with Wilbur typing away on his phone the doors shut. The Sire, (Phil?) stepped out of the door and raised an umbrella to cover him. The third stepped out after him also holding an umbrella.
Tommy swore he saw the third wipe blood away from his check as he stepped closer.
The car door opened and the Sire along with the Third entered the car. The two signed in unison.
“Oh, I’m so glade to be out of that school” emerald suit said.
Then his focus turned to Tommy. “My apologies, we are being very rude. I’m Phil, the Sire to the Arctic coven.”
Tommy tilted his head to the side ever so slightly. He thought he’d heard that name before but it slipped from his grasp as he tried to remember.
“I’m Technoblade” Third introduced himself.
“And I’m here” Wilbur piped up cheerily putting his phone down.
“Alright, now that we are all here, we didn’t see on your file your pronouns or if Thomas was your preferred name. I didn’t feel quite comfortable asking in front of Dream. Are those ok with you?” Phil asked.
“Yes, he/him is great, and I don’t mind he called Thomas” he replied formally. Was he to be a servant? Certainly you don’t ask your dinner their pronouns.
“Right,” Phil stated happily. “I’m not entirely sure you understand why you’re here. Did Dream tell you anything?”
Tommy shook his head in confusion. He car started up and they began to move.
“Well as you know, the Arctic coven has been looking for their fourth and final member. I am wind aligned, Wilbur is water aligned, and Techno is fire aligned. So with you being earth aligned we thought you would want to join us.” He told him.
Tommy nodded. This was of course the academy’s job to make humans fit to be vampires. It only made sense for him to accept a coven if they wanted him.
“Of course this is all up to you. You will be staying with us for a couple of months as a human so we get to know you better. If things work out we will turn you at the legal age of twenty-five” Phil explained.
Tommy nodded. Considering they had literal servants his life wouldn’t be that hard as a gardener or lawn mower.
“So when I agree, who will Sire me?” Tommy asked.
Phil’s face became confused as he looked at Tommy. “Me”
Tommy furrowed his eyebrows together. “No, like who will over see my work?” He questioned.
“Nobody?” Techno replied. “You’ll be coven if we all agree”
“No, no, no, like obviously I’m smarter than that. You guys are clearly set for eternity, and don’t need shit from me” he stated in a nervous laugh.
“Thomas, I think you doubt how much we have been looking for someone like you” Wilbur responded.
Tommy’s breath picked up slightly. “No, that’s not how this works, I’m supposed to be like, lower class than you”
“No, Thomas, we’ve been looking through files and found you. We truly want you to be in our coven, there’s no need to panic” Phil stated.
Tommy stared at Phil in shock. Something was wrong. Very very fucking wrong and Tommy’s mind didn’t want to hear it anymore.
So he shut down. He closed his mouth and glued his eyes at the floor.
Tommy wasn’t really sure when he leaned back in his chair and fell asleep. It was at least a couple of hours of silent muttering between the coven which his mind refused to understand.
He just knew that when he awoke he wasn’t in the car anymore. He wasn’t with the coven or anybody. He was alone in a plush room. His room, his mind supplied.
____
They were headed to lunch. Or Tommy was going to lunch and his coven was holding large water bottles full of blood.
It was raining. The pattern of rain drops filled the comfortable silence. Tommy had laid his head on Wilbur’s lap as his older brother lazily stroked his hair.
It had been two years. Three months into his stay, the Arctic coven offered him a permanent place at their manor as a coven member, a servant, or any job he wanted. Tommy chose to be apart of the family.
Obviously he wanted to be a vampire at that very moment and he wanted to never be a human again, but Phil insisted that it was illegal, which only made Tommy more frustrated.
Then Techno asked him if wanted voice cracks forever and Tommy was much more content to wait until he was of age.
They turned a corner as Phil noted on the odd weather. Techno nodded in agreement. “Maybe we should head home,” Wil suggested. Tommy looked up at him and back down. He liked McDonalds and he only had a few more years to enjoy it.
Phil turned on his blinker as they turned to start heading home. The rain still beat against the car. The gentle stroke of Wil’s hand on his head continued. Then, in an instant. It was all gone.
Time seemed to stop as the car spun out of control. He hardly had time before he was flung against the side of the door and he was promptly knocked out.
______
Something was weird. He didn’t feel right. Like something that he desperately needed was not here. But he wanted it. He wanted it now.
He was cold. So very fucking cold. He wanted to be warm he wanted to be warm now.
But there was no way to convey this message. For all he knew there was no one out there. No one to latch onto. Yes.
He wanted to latch onto someone. Now. He wanted to latch onto someone now.
He struggled for a while, reaching out into the unknown to find someone to latch onto.
Then one day it came to him.
A little gold thread. It wasn’t much but he was able to wrap his finger around it and give it a small tug. Then, someone pulled back.
He should be scared. But he knew that whoever was on the other side of that threat was there to help.
It took him a while to understand how to work the thread. Each time he reached out to it, he became stronger.
He was hurting. His teeth longed to be used and throat was dry.
This was his first sense of self. He wasn’t just a aimless shadow passing through endless darkness. He was a self and he wanted this to stop hurting.
He reached out to the thread. He pulled. There was no reaction. The other side of the rope hadn’t felt him pull yet. So he yanked. The thread went taught and he kept on pulling and pulling until something was on his teeth and he bit down.
Lady this was good. It was sweet and rich, he swore he would never let go. Then he got tired. Eventually the thing was gone and he was alone again.
The next time he came to sense was when he realized he was alone again. He didn’t want to be alone. And now he was hungry again. He wanted the thing again. He wanted it now.
So he did what came naturally. He gripped the thread, now rope and pulled. He yanked and pulled and tugged until he heard the thing came back.
“For the love of the Lady I’m coming!” The thing voiced. That wasn’t just any voice though. It was Sire’s voice. Oh he was very happy Sire was here now. Thing wouldn’t have to come back if Sire was here.
He yanked on the rope more until Sire was near and placed something in his mouth. He drank and drank until he couldn’t anymore. He was tired now. But he didn’t want Sire to leave. If he left that meant he’d be alone and he didn’t want to be alone. He wanted to be with Sire.
Sire stood to leave but he pulled the rope again.
“I just fed you. You can’t have anymore, you’ve nearly sucked me dry”
He did not like being told no. He yanked. Sire tried to leave but he tugged and twisted, he even tried to bite the rope.
Sire eventually relented and laid down. “Am I stuck here now?” Sire inquired. He gave a gentle tug. Yes. Stuck with me. Stuck with fledgling.
This continued for a long time. He would pull on the rope and Sire would come into feed them. Then if he felt like it, he would pull at the rope to ensure Sire wouldn’t leave him.
Today was very very bad though.
“Baby, I’m sorry but I have to go now. I’ll be back. Your fed, just go to sleep my little ray of sunshine”
Did he really think he had a say in this? He was aware now that he had a body.
Hands with long claws. Feet made for speed. Eyes sharped and ready to latch onto prey.
If Sire was going to leave, then he was going to. Sure stood to leave when he reached out and sunk his claws into Sire.
A surprised trill left Sire’s lips as his fledgling had him in a death grip.
“Should’ve known to watch out for that. Your old enough now” Sire chuckled as he came back to him.
He smiled as his Sire laid down with him again.
Sire was careful around him after that. He had to learn not to use his claws if Sire was to feed him. It was very unfortunate.
Then when he came to senses again, he wanted to see Sire. He also was hungry. He yanked on the rope. Sire was late.
He heard the door open and close after him as Sire entered.
“Yeah, I’m aware I’m late, no need to yank so hard” Sire told him.
He peeled one eye open to look at Sire. He was leaning over him. Blond hair getting in his face as he sunk his teeth in Sire’s arm.
“Oh, you’ve opened your eyes precious” Sire said happily followed by a trill of greeting.
He tried to replicate it but only got the sound of gurgling Sire blood. Sire smiled as he cupped his face pressing their foreheads together.
He awoke from his senses as he became aware of somebody. That wasn’t Sire.
“Dad? Can we come in”
Sire nodded.
Then there were strangers in his goddamn nest again!
He pulled on the rope. He was telling his Sire to get them out. This was supposed to be his nest with only his Sire! This wasn’t fair!
“I am not kicking them out” Sire replied.
He gave a hard yank on the bond.
“Ouch you little shit! Stop!” Sire exclaimed.
He yanked again, he want these strangers out of his nest! Couldn’t Sire see he was unsafe?
“Last warning” Sire warned.
He ignored it and yanked again.
Then the bond pulled at him instead. Sire yanked the bond on him! And it hurt! It really really hurt!
He cried out. In all honesty it didn’t hurt that bad but he still wanted Sire to fix it. Sire needed to apologize.
“Techno, it’s your turn” Sire said.
“Doesn’t he still need Sire blood?” The second voice sounded unsure.
“He’s been asleep long enough. He’s just a late bloomer”
Ok, he was done with whatever these fuckers were talking about. He was hungry.
He began pulling on the bond again, he was hungry. Sire needed to feed him.
He opened his eyes expecting Sire, instead he found Not-Sire.
He screamed.
Not-Sire gave him blood.
He shut up.
After Not-Sire fed him, there was a second thread, a second bond. Now he could choose which one he wanted.
Often times he would just yank until someone showed up. This would normally result in a very unhappy vampire. At least he was happy.
After pulling on the bond hard enough the door opened.
“My name is Techno, not Not-Sire”
Frankly he really didn’t care as long as he was fed. He pulled the on bond.
“No, you have to call me Techno before I feed you. You can’t just keep calling me that, it’s dehumanizing,”
He yanked on the bond harder.
“I’m sorry, I don’t know a Not-Sire” Not-Sire said.
He relented and gently pulled on the bond.
“There we go!”
After he was fed he fell asleep again.
“Dad! You can’t just have me sit through meetings all day for you, let me feed him,”
That wasn’t Sire, and that sure was Techno.
He didn’t want strangers in his nest! He didn’t want them here.
He pulled in his two bonds.
Get. Them. Out. Of. Nest.
“Alright, if you can get him to latch on, you can feed him”
Tommy slowly opened his eyes. They were in a pitch black room. Not-Not-Sire was approaching.
He leaned down.
“Hello sun flower, here you are” Not-Not-Sire offered his wrist.
He was smarter than that. No fucking way.
“Wil, I think he’s about to-“
“I’ve got this dad” Not-Not-Sire replied exasperated.
Tommy narrowed his eyes and lashed out. His claws found something soft to dig into as he ripped Not-No-Sire apart.
Eventually after much work, Wilbur was apart of the bond to.
____
He was awoken.
He snapped his gleaming crimson eyes open as he looked around.
“Do you think this is where they keep him?” Whispered a voice.
A second voice followed that affirming the first.
The steps of the intruders were loud. Very loud. It was very annoying. He stood up on wobbly legs as he made his way towards the noise.
Two men stood outside his nest entrance.
They stared at each other in shock.
“I thought you said he wasn’t awake yet” said the first dude with short cut green hair.
“I thought so to” whispered a shorter dude with a beanie over his hair.
“It’s still young though, so we can kill it right?” Asked green dude.
“Yeah” replied second dude.
They took a step closer.
Tommy growled as he leaned against the door frame.
“Yeah it’s still to weak to defend itself.”
Ok well they didn’t have to be mean about it.
He pulled on all three of the bonds.
He’d never really sent a message that wasn’t get over here I’m hungry but considering the instant replies of coming coming coming and safety safety safety, he got his point across just fine.
Green dude was advancing quickly now, silver knife in hand.
Ew, no sir.
Green dude lashed out. Tommy stepped forward and pushed the knife out of his hand.
He squeezed his hand under something underneath the skin cracked.
He smiled as blood dripped from his hand. Then he sank his fangs in and drank his fill.
_______
It always amazed Phil when he thought back to that little turning cabin out in the woods.
How vines crept in under the foundation to the earthbound little creature that lay sleeping.
How strong and insistent he was about having people be near him. Yet how hard it was for him to connect with his coven mates.
He will certainly never forget the day he pulled on the bond and called out stranger. Only to arrive to a bloody nest with two dead men in it. A sleeping fledgling still holding onto his first kill.
Now he has his full coven. Now his family is complete.
