Chapter 1
Just Being Nice
"Have you ever thought that it could just be you, Chat?" Ladybug screamed. "It's destiny, m'lady!!" Chat whined. "Why can't you see that!?" "Leave me alone, Chat."
"No!" Chat Noir yelled, grabbing Ladybug's wrist while she was walking away.
"Let go of me!" Ladybug yelled.
She managed to get her wrist free and started running. Not sure where exactly, but she started running. Chat Noir was a good distance away and she quickly leaped onto a hotel balcony.
"Ladybug?"
She stiffed. Chloe.
"Get off my-"
"Look I'll do anything! Let me hide here for a while!! Don't let HIM find me!!" Ladybug begged, as she quickly pushed aside Chole and headed straight to her bathroom.
'"HEY CHLOE!" Chat Noir asked. "Have you seen Ladybug?" He seemed out of breath. And angry.
"Yeah."
Ladybug stiffed. She held her breath waiting for the blond to reveal her position.
"She went towards the Effiel Tower. NOW GET OFF MY BALCONY, YOU DISGUSTING ALLEY CAT!" Chloe screamed.
Chat Noir quickly ran off towards the Tower, leaving Chloe with a bunch of questions.
Is Ladybug in danger?
Has the alley cat touched her or something?
Has his obsession gone too far this time??
So many questions Chloe had and only Ladybug had the answers.
Of course, she wasn't going to force her to talk. Why was she helping her? She didn't know. All she knew she could've gone to any of her classmates' homes. Only Ladybug didn't, which was a bit concerning to her.
She literally betrayed her entire team by teaming up with Hawkmoth and Mayura. She revealed their identities.
Chloe quickly walked towards her bathroom and knocked. "Alley cat's gone."
She stepped back as she watch Ladybug slowly open the door. She had a scared look in her eyes. It was pathetic and a bit ironic. Ladybug was Paris' savior and she was afraid of her partner.
She fully opened the door and walked into the bedroom. She quickly ran towards Chloe and gave her a tight hug. "Thank you. Thank you!" Ladybug said, as she snuggled her face into Chloe's neck.
"Yeah. Sure. Whatever." Chloe muttered, with her hands to her sides.
"I'll get you something for both you and your kwami." Chloe said, as she shook off Ladybug's embrace.
It was a bit past midnight. Ladybug walked towards the balcony and leaned on it. The sky looked wonderful from Chloe's balcony. "I'm back," Chloe announced. "I got you some milk, a sandwich, and a few cookies. I'll be in the bathroom so you can detransformation."
She quickly made her way to the bathroom.
The tray of goods was on the coffee table. Marinette detransformation and reached to grab a cookie for Tikki. "You look awful, Marinette!" Tikki stated worriedly. "Did you get any sleep last night?"
"A bit. Ever since Lila started spreading lies and Chat Noir started to get pushy, I've hardly been able to sleep." Marinette replied. She tried to suppress a yawn, but couldn't. "Oh, Mari!" Tikki quickly went to her side and hugged her cheek.
"Gosh, I'm lucky Chole is helping me out here."
Marinette quickly finished her food and transformed with Tikki's permission.
"You can come out now, Chloe!" Marinette stated. Chloe walked out with a tired look on her face. Her body was slumped and her hair was down. "Golly, she looks beautiful." Marinette thought. "Okay, what the hell is going on!?" Chloe asked.
"You could've gone to anyone's home and asked for help. Why me?"
"You were closest." Marinette lied.
"Bullshit! You could've gone to Césaire"
There was no point in lying now. She wasn't going to let up.
"I couldn't have gone to any of their houses. Chat Noir would've known."
"..."
"Alya is the biggest LadyNoir shipper. Nino and Chat Noir have some kind of bond. And you get it. Chat Noir wouldn't have thought about entering your place considering that you ''hate" him and because you know."
Chloe sighed. "He's been harassing you, hasn't he."
"No! I- He's being friendly." Marinette exclaimed.
"No he isn't. I've seen the news reports. I've seen you both argue. He's putting your life in jeopardy every time. His "small" crush is now an obsession! It's like he wants to own you! So, tell me Ladybug! Is he being friendly!?"
"..."
"Didn't think so, LB."
Adrien entered his bedroom through his window. "Claws in."
"Ugh! Plagg! Why doesn't Ladybug see that we're made for each other!" Adrien whined as he belly-flopped on the bed.
"I don't know, kid. Maybe you're being pushy." Plagg stated, as he grabbed a piece of camembert that was left out earlier that day.
"I'm not being pushy!"
"That's ironic." Plagg muttered.
Adrien ignored his comment and proceeded, "I've given her chance after chance! I've gotten her flowers! She even stood me up that one time!! It's destiny, Plagg. Why doesn't she see it." Adrien said, burying his face in his pillow.
"Did that kiss not mean anything to her??"
"We all lost our memories, kid. She was in a vulnerable state."
"How was she vulnerable? I was right there!! God, if only she didn't fix everything back to normal!!"
"I'm not saying that we're all vulnerable. I'm just- Look kid, I just think you shouldn't be pushing Ladybug out of her comfort zone."
"I'm not! I'm trying to get her to see that we could be something! You know what, Plagg? Forget it! What do you know about human relationships?"
"I know the difference between a toxic one and a healthy one." Plagg thought.
"There's manipulation involved." Chloe stated.
"No, there isn't!" Ladybug yelled.
"Okay, fine. Remember when Paris became a winter wonderland?" Chloe asked. "There was a live feed of the incident and the reporter got some coverage of your conversation."
There was some point in Chloe's statement, but Chat Noir wouldn't manipulate her. Would he?
"He even said, "it's not like we're a couple." Like how don't you see that?"
"I guess your right." Marinette sighed.
They've been at it for at least an hour. Arguing about whether Chat Noir was manipulating her or guilt-tripping her. They soon came to the conclusion that it may just have been both.
