Luo Binghe Being Himself

Summary:

I was thinking about that part of SVSSS in volume I where Binghe just makes food for SQQ and they both think it’s the best thing ever for different reasons.

Notes:

At this point in the novel Binghe’s underage and there’s a power dynamic in their relationship as teacher and student, so everything in this fic is implied to be one sided and nothing actually happens.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Shen Qingqiu didn’t realize how quickly he would become acclimated to having Luo Binghe cook for him. The food had been too good to resist the first time, and now he got to eat it three times a day. These days, though, he was eating Binghe’s cooking a bit more than just three times. Binghe wasn’t only talented at making proper meals, or snacks, but desserts too, and Quigqiu found himself unable to go without.

Binghe poured out more tea for his shizun as he watched Qingqiu eat. He still couldn’t believe that his shizun had let him begin cooking for him in the first place, and now he got to sleep in a room at the side of shizun’s house so he could make meals any time he wanted! The only thing that was more of a blessing than being able to watch Qingqiu enjoy his cooking, was being able to see just how much his shizun loved his cooking.

Shen Qingqiu was being pampered and spoiled by his disciple, and it was starting to show. He had rounder cheeks, plumper yet still graceful hands, and his belly was so prettily rounding out against his robes. He was so beautiful that Binghe found it difficult to complete his daily training instead of simply feeding his shizun all day, but he needed to be strong to protect shizun, so he simply made bigger portions to tide Qingqiu over until he could return to make dinner.

It was only just bearable because it was nice to come home to a happy, satisfied shizun, just finishing his work, who praised and thanked him for the meal and then praised him again for being diligent in his training. Binghe hoped that those days on Qing Jing peak would never end.

Notes:

I forget what happens later in the novel, but I like to think that they recreate this vibe later on, it seemed so safe and cozy.
