Summary
It isn’t often that a biological dominant is afraid to enter domspace, but after an accident a few years ago, Namjoon does his best to avoid getting involved with submissives in any way he can. As he continues to starve his body of its needs, his resolve to never space again crumbles more every day.
On the flip side, Seokjin is a biological submissive with a specific classification that he’s embarrassed to disclose; instead of searching for a dominant who will take care of him properly, he allows himself to fall into a dangerous cycle of forced, unfulfilling subspace and debilitating subdrops just for the sake of meeting his own biological needs.

It's a crazy thought, really. That having spent, what, fifteen years with this guy, this big baby, he'd have noticed a crush forming. hell even a little attraction! but, Seokjin swears he has never seen Jeongguk look at him like that. Brush a lingering touch against him like that. Blush around him like that.
However, he's not stupid. Kim Seokjin's a lot of things, stupid is not one of them. Yoongi might disagree. But anyway, so, yeah, he's seen the funny looks Jimin and Taehyung give Jeongguk and him. Wiggling eyebrows, weird-ass kissy faces. He's not dumb. Presumably. Definitely. Absoloutely... Okay, fine. He ignored all of this to quote-en-quote not embarrass Jeongguk, that poor kid being picked on by those two summoned demons. Probably should've communicated with Jeongguk about it.
So he might be a little stupid in that sense.
He also might be in a little predicament.
With Jeongguk asking, with his big doe eyes, to let him have sex with him.

His attempt turns out useless the moment Hoseok rolls his eyes and, finally loosing his patience, Yoongi hisses, “What's your fucking problem, Hoseok? Just spit it out already.”
Hoseok grits his teeth. “I am looking at him.” He glares at the creature, making him recoil. “Can't you see? My fucking problem is that he's an imp.”
In a world filled with all kinds of strange creatures and magic and savage beasts, Jungkook is just an imp.

Like with so many things, Namjoon wants to understand why and so he contemplates.
Why are creatures so resentful all the time? Why are they never content with what they have? Why can't they see the beauty in life itself? Why must they harbour all that hate and anger inside their hearts? Why can't they just let it go? Why can't they just leave the past in the past and live in the present?
Why can't there be love and peace instead of all the pain and destruction?
It always makes Namjoon sad to see nature so upset about it. Some days, he can hear the plants in the forest weep as they mourn. Some days, the tree becomes so silent with unspoken grief that it pains his soul.

Jungkook watches the man, the First Monarch of his nation, deliver the words he'd wanted to hear more than anything. The TV crackles with the deafening silence on the palace's plaza.
