Summary
It isn’t often that a biological dominant is afraid to enter domspace, but after an accident a few years ago, Namjoon does his best to avoid getting involved with submissives in any way he can. Hoseok grits his teeth. “I am looking at him.” He glares at the creature, making him recoil. “Can't you see? My fucking problem is that he's an imp.”

Like with so many things, Namjoon wants to understand why and so he contemplates.
Why are creatures so resentful all the time? Why are they never content with what they have? Why can't they see the beauty in life itself? Why must they harbour all that hate and anger inside their hearts? Why can't they just let it go? Why can't they just leave the past in the past and live in the present?
Why can't there be love and peace instead of all the pain and destruction?
It always makes Namjoon sad to see nature so upset about it. Some days, he can hear the plants in the forest weep as they mourn. Some days, the tree becomes so silent with unspoken grief that it pains his soul.

Namjoon did not close the door behind himself and Jungkook turns his head as a second figure comes into the room. When his face is finally illuminated by the candle light, Jungkook realizes it's Kim Seokjin. Jungkook panics, quickly pulling up his robe and rushing to get off the bed. "Pack Alpha," he gasps, bowing down deeply. How embarrassing, he thinks, that the Pack Alpha had seen him this way, blood coloring his cheeks. Before he remembers that there isn't any reason for Kim Seokjin to be in his marital chambers and looks up in confusion.
Namjoon clears his throat, looking sheepish. "Hyung's here to help," he says, as if that makes sense of anything. Jungkook furrows his eyebrows in confusion. "Help?" He asks. "Help with what?"
"I've never been with an omega before. I- I always thought it would be romantic if my mate was my first and my last one. But... well- I... I want it to be good for you, Jungkook-ah. But I don't know how to make it good. So, I asked hyung to help. To teach me," Namjoon explains in a rush.

Jungkook nudges the pouch towards Jimin with his snout, keeping his hind end in the water.
"Oh, are these the things you collect? Did you want to show me?" Jimin asks, and Jungkook preens at the excitement in his voice. Jimin slowly takes out each item, admiring the pretty gemstones on the hair clip and giggling at the little alien figurine.
"He kind of reminds me of you," Jimin says, and Jungkook tilts his head in confusion. He doesn't think he looks much like an alien. "Very cute and small."
Jungkook huffs. Crocodiles aren't cute and small; they're scary and strong. He's a predator; even if he isn't quite top of the food chain, he's far closer to it than some tiny plastic alien would be. He'd eat that alien for lunch.

Curiosity may have killed the cat, but crocodiles are built tough. Crocodile hybrid Jungkook is certain that following his own curious nature is perfectly safe, even when it leads him into a house full of humans, the one species he's always been taught not to trust. Bangtan only needed a hostage to guarantee a clean escape after a mission. They picked the terrified university student at random, intending to release him once things settled down.
The problem is that their hostage keeps apologising, insists he isn't hungry while his stomach loudly disagrees, falls asleep tied to a chair because he's that exhausted, and somehow makes six of the most dangerous villains in the country collectively decide that absolutely nobody is allowed to stress him out ever again.
The heroes would really like their hostage back.
Bangtan has..other ideas.
