Summary
The custom is common knowledge in Germa - not so much in Wano. Handing over an omega when you're suing for peace after a humiliating defeat is standard practice, but once the discrepancy is discovered, it's already too late. Despite his misgivings, Zoro will have to take responsibility for a man he's never met, and navigate a situation in which neither of them can be happy.
He wasn't planning to get married. And while Sanji hasn't been allowed to see any other future for himself, the circumstances are less than ideal. They speak of the warrior as if he's a wild beast, and he certainly looks the part. And while he's determined not to fold right away, he knows it's only a matter of time before he'll be begging him.

“It’s already started,” Sanji replies, grinning in a way only ever reserved for Zoro, not that he’s ever let him see it.
Sanji goes into the night expecting a casual fun time, maybe a flirt or two, not Zoro. But under the island’s Devil’s juice, inhibitions blur, tempers flare, and rivalry turns far more physical once Zoro decides he’s not sharing.

If only this didn’t feel so good, Sanji would be completely against this. Especially when done so egregiously out in the open with their friends so near, only having to make a simple glance overboard to face their obscene display.
The swordsman of the Straw Hat pirates fucking their cook with fierce determination, relying on the crash of strong waves to block the sounds of their vigorous moans as they commit sinful atrocities against their respectable vessel.
A week without fucking each other is already too long, and the new ship offers nowhere to hide—only the ocean, the hull, and the risk of being caught. Half-submerged against the Thousand Sunny, just close enough to shore and just far enough from safety, they give in anyway while their crew moves just a deck above, unaware.
