It started out a normal day, of course.
Cuphead, Mugsy and Chalice were in the city looking for fun.
As they going past an alley, there was a sound from in it.
“What was that?” Cuphead wanted to go investigate it.
“I don’t think I want to know,” Mugsy wanted to keep moving since she had a bad feeling about all of it.
“Aw, I’m sure it’s nothing! Let’s just see quickly and then go,” Chalice was trying to take both sides with her siblings.
So down the alley they went.
Cuphead went first, then Chalice, then Mugsy.
There had been no more sounds and the youngest of the trio felt very uneasy about staying in there much longer.
But just as she was about to say something…
Someone grabbed her from behind and silenced her screams, quietly taking her away.
“Doesn’t look like there’s anything here,” Chalice said.
“Yeah,” Cuphead agreed. “Don’t worry Mugsy, we’re-“
A sudden hit to his and Chalice’s heads and they were down and out like a light.
…..
When Cuphead woke up, he was tied to a chair.
A quick look around and he could see Chalice still out, and also tied to a chair.
Mugsy was nowhere in sight.
The same could be said for whoever took them.
“Chalice,” Cuphead said. “Chalice! Wake up!”
It took a few more attempts but it did work in the end at least.
“Ugh…what happened?”
“We got kidnapped, I don’t know who. And they took Mugsy somewhere else.”
Chalice quickly thought up a plan as she listened.
“Well, just give me a second and I’ll get us out of here.”
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” a voice cut in.
The person stepped out from the darkness.
“Jimmy!?” the cups exclaimed.
“That’s right! And if you don’t want your brother to get hurt, you won’t do something you’ll regret.”
That was enough to get Chalice to stop before she went ghost, she couldn’t risk her sister getting hurt.
(No matter how much she wanted to smack Jimmy for his misgendering and threats)
“She’s our sister! Where is she!?” Cuphead could barely contain his rage.
“Oh, you cups annoy me. That brother of yours has everyone playing along with his stupid joke,” Jimmy said.
“You better quit while you’re ahead,” Chalice warned.
“Yeah! We’re really gonna make you pay when we get outta here!” Cuphead added.
“And how are you getting out of here without hurting Mugman in the process? You don’t know where he is and I have some old pals ready to hurt him whenever I say,” Jimmy grinned.
“HER name is MUGSY!” Cuphead yelled.
“It’s better for you in the long run if you stop insisting on believing this ridiculous nonsense already, trust me! Because I have a way to convince you.”
“Don’t!” Chalice screamed, already fearing the worst for her sister.
Jimmy the button on his walkie-talkie. “Hey guys, break his arm.”
No response came, only static.
He tried again. “Hey! I said break his arm!”
Same thing again, only static.
Jimmy turned away from the cups and hissed into the device, “Will you two stop humiliating me and just answer!?”
“Here’s your answer.”
And when he turned around…
BANG! A blow to the head and down he went!
“Mugsy!” Cuphead and Chalice cheered.
Their little sister herself had taken down Jimmy, and she hadn’t been hurt at all.
Chalice went ghost to get out of the ropes and Mugsy untied their brother.
“How did you get out?” Cuphead asked.
“His friends can’t tie knots too well, and even if they could I would’ve got out somehow anyway. No one messed with my siblings,” Mugsy grinned.
“That’s our sister! Now let’s get out of here,” Chalice said.
And off they went, staying away from weird noises in alleys from now on.
