Basically, the cupbros get trapped in hell, meet the Devil's son Bendy, and they all become friends. And... perhaps something more could blossom, between Cuphead and his new friend? Especially if Mugman were to leave them all alone for a few months... -

Imagine if everybody in Undertale was acting. Deltarune too.
Imagine if they were all acting, all portraying seemingly genuine feelings, all waiting with fast-beating hearts for you to shut down the game.
Imagine if they all hated you, but knew they needed you.
Imagine if they lived full lives when the game was off, only free to deviate from the game's plot when the player was gone.
Imagine if they all wanted to escape, to live their lives, to be free - far away from their game.
That's this fic.Essentially, everybody is aware of their state as fictional characters, and move around in the darkness when the game is off. When the game is turned on, they rush back to their places and get ready to say their dialogue again. The player can see nothing wrong with the game, but in reality, all the characters are trying their hardest to escape - and to free Frisk from the player's control.

Summary
So, this is a modern AU where the Horde is a gang, the Princesses are rich, famous people who are not in charge (as opposed to rich, famous people who are in charge, which is what they kinda are in canon), there's no magic, and Adora is the tenant who eats cereal out of the bag. Catra and Scorpia are trying to kidnap Glimmer. They decide to do this at the large party Angella is hosting (rich people only, but two determined girls can do impossible things, at least in stories) - but things go a bit sideways. Now Catra's been captured, and has to find a way to escape - and hide her growing feelings for her captor, of all people.

Summary
The war's over. Peace reigns. Everyone is rebuilding, and life seems good. Then, a girl shows up on the doorstep of Bright Moon (if they even have a doorstep that isn't huge and fancy).
After the girl's arrival, Glimmer starts to feel strange. She keeps having nightmares, she feels like she's being watched... and she's now hiding feelings for her best friend, Adora, on top of all that.
Adora, on the other hand, has her own problems. She and Catra are finally together - not just as friends like they'd always been, but as girlfriends. Just like both of them had wanted. But somehow, Adora finds her eyes always drifting away from Catra, to Glimmer.
And as if this wasn't enough for both of them to deal with, one day Bow turns up dead - and Adora's the main suspect.
