“Absolutely not” Eddie spoke with a smile
That was not exactly the reaction Steve was hoping for or expecting. A flat out dismissal
“You asked for a sub, we delivered” Dustin gestured toward Steve.
Steve’s hand shot up and he waved along with a very nervous fake smile.
Steve is going through an existential crisis, an entire shift in his reality, in who he is. He's realising the blueprint of how life should go doesn't have to be the way he does it. Self awareness isn't always a fun time and Steve might not be getting beaten by Russian spies but he sure feels just as messed up.
