Summary
Hob Gadling has always been an adventurous soul, but this new online dating thing that his co-workers keep suggesting sounds a bit too good to be true. After all, he's lived through several centuries where the norm was enduring a lengthy and complicated courting process before you could even entertain the notion of bedding your lover. Of course, visiting the whore house was always a quick and easy option, but it also brought the risk of syphilis and other nasty diseases Hob would rather go without.
So you can't blame him for being a tad skeptical.
Eventually, he caves after much nagging from his co-workers. Mainly just to shut them up, but also so he could say he at least gave it an honest try. After all, what's the worst that could happen?
Going out on a date with a serial killer nightmare is apparently the worst that can happen.
