"You know what they say, Smallville," Lois says breathlessly, smiling through gritted teeth as she looks at him with venomous kind of sweetness.
Clark furrows his brows as he regards her incredulously. "Stop?"
She laughs a little too loudly, slapping her hand against her thigh and ignoring how it stings. "No, dummy," she says, flexing her hands and doing her best to stand tall with her hips jutted out and her shoulders rolled back in her superhero pose. "When at first you don’t succeed, you get your big, tall and muscular alien husband who’s super, super strong to do it for you."
