“Bond,” Anya crouched down to look into her dog’s eyes. Beady black eyes stared back at her, uncomprehending of what she was saying.
“Bondman, do you think it is time?” she poked his fluffy white fur, and he made a grunting sound, slowly coming up and stretching in his bed. “So you think it is?”
His eyes didn’t convey any way that he understood what she was saying, just nudging her a bit and then walking over to his food bowl. That was unfair!
I thought you would help me. She crossed her arms, staring down at the dog. Maybe if she yelled it loud enough in her mind, that would work. It’s Christmas, it’s for family.
(or, it's the Forger's first Christmas, and of course, they all try their best to make it one they can enjoy:))
