Summary
Rin has faint memories of home. A warm embrace, someone to protect, his kin. Those are faint memories he can no longer bring up. He knows where he is, hell with monsters trying to hurt him. His only bright light in this dark version of hell promises freedom. Freedom from this hell. Once he escapes, he'll have to find his home. His home isn't in the mountains of Kyoto, but that's where he ends up. This boy could help him, or maybe he's part of the monsters he ran away from.
Or: Rin was taken at a young age by the Vatican and experimented on for years until he escaped. He runs as far as he can, ending up in an inn in Kyoto and found by a boy. The boy takes him in and teaches him all he can, or he tries to. Is this really what his first year at True Cross will start?
*My first Blue Exorcist Fic! This will go according to the anime ending in season 1, by the way. So, if you have yet to see season 2 or read the manga, then no problem!
