It was early in the morning and Monokuma had gathered the participants of his school killing trip into the dining area to make an announcement. It was Christmas eve today, and due to the killing game happening basically everyone has lost track of time and had no idea. Luckily for them, no one had been murdered yet and though that pissed off Monokuma, he was still in the Holiday spirit.
"Alright you turds! Since i'm such a kind and nice headmaster, i'm here to inform you all something veryyyy special!" The bear spun around happily, he had on a santa hat and a large fake beard. Monomi stood next to him, looking equally as happy and wearing a pink christmas hat.
"What the hell, Why are you two dressed like homeless people!?" Hiyoko shouted, pointing at the stuffed animals and breaking out into a laugh.
"HEY! Don't tell me you kiddos aren't in the christmas spirit!?" Monokuma roared, crossing his arms. "Tomorrow is Christmas! It's Christmas Eve!" The bear sighed in annoyance, " You all should be happy and bouncing around with excitement!" Monomi added, waving her arms around. This seemed to get the students excited, and they began to converse to one another, everyone had no idea it was already christmas eve.
"Hajimeee! Happy Christmas Eve!" Kazuichi wrapped his arms around his soul friend and grinned, Hajime rolled his eyes playfully and hugged his friend back. "Hah thanks dude..but it's merry christmas, idiot." Kazuichi broke the hug and began to defend himself.
"Same thing ain't it? I for on-"
"Wait. Somethings off."
Kazuichi raised an eyebrow, confused on what Hajime was implying. "Hah? What's up dude?"
Hajime pointed to his right ear, "one of your earrings are missing."
Immediately his hand flew up to his right ear, feeling the empty space his earring once occupied. "What the hell! Both pieces fell!" Kazuichi frowned and furrowed his brows. His screw earrings were his favorite pair and wore them all the time. both earrings resembled actual screws and the left one had a plus sign while the right was a minus sign, Hajime rested a hand on his shoulder comfortingly, "Hey no worries dude, we'll tell people to keep an eye out for it and look for it ourselves soon." The plain boy smiled and they both turned their attention back to Monokuma.
"AHEM! Shut the hell up! Let me finish!"
"M-Monokuma! Don't be so rude!" Monomi squealed.
Monokuma sighed and continued. "Because of the holly jolly spirit, I've prepared special events for tomorrow, but of course it's a motive!" The bear laughed mischievously and took off his christmas hat.
"Now listen up! I'll separate you all into two groups! First group pulls out of this hat, the name you get is the person you spend christmas with!"
Monokuma then snatched off Monomis hat, causing the rabbit to squeal out of surprise.
"Then! The name of the person you pulled will pick a paper out of this hat! These are the actions you will perform with them! There's sixteen of y'all so i'll call 8 people!"
Monokuma then held both hats in his paws, shaking them a bit before holding them out towards everyone.
"I'll be calling out the names now! If ya don't hurry up then i'll punish you for wasting my time!"
The students looked at one another, everyone was skeptical but had no choice but to follow the bears wishes. Kazuichi on the other hand couldn't help but feel a little excited, imagine if he could spend christmas with Sonia! That was totally a dream come true. He eagerly listened to Monokuma calling out names.
"Akane!"
"Nekomaru!"
"Fuyuhiko!"
"Gundham!"
"Hiyoko!"
"Ibuki!"
"Nagito!"
"Peko!"
He called the students one by one, Kazuichi prayed to every God he could think of that he would get called, hoping he could spend christmas with his soul friend or his angel, but he let out a defeated sigh as Monokuma called all eight of the students. Neither him or Sonia were called so they wouldn't be able to spend Christmas together.
The students that were called went up to Monokuma and pulled out a piece of folded paper from the red hat, they opened their slips and none of them made a reaction except Ibuki, who seemed excited.
"OOOOO! Can we say who we got Monokuma? Can we can we?" she bounced eagerly, the pupils who stayed behind were just as curious and wanted to hear who the others got as well.
"Hmmm..Alright! Go on ahead kiddos! In the order I called you in though, don't wanna get stuff mixed up ya hear?"
Akane raised her slip in the air, "Chiaki! Your with me!" she grinned and walked over to the gamer, linking their arms together. "You better not play video games the whole time though..let's have a fun Christmas!" Chiaki only nodded and smiled softly.
"Looks like I got the perverted cook, at least I get some free food!" Nekomaru beamed, Teruteru seemed just as excited. "A christmas night with the Ultimate Team manager~ my my!" he smirked.
"Uh..I got Hajime." Fuyuhiko crossed his arms and scoffed. "Don't expect me to be all happy doing this Christmas shit."
Kazuichi put his arm around Hajime and whistled. "Good luck with that dude, one wrong word and you'll piss him off!" he joked, nudging Hajime playfully.
Gundham hesitated a bit, before sighing and pocketing his own slip. "Rejoice Souda! For you will spend Christmas with the one and only Overlord of Ice!" He beamed. Immediately Kazuichis jaw dropped and beads of sweat appeared on his forehead. Hajime snickered and nudged him. "One wrong word and you'll piss him off."
"Shut the fuck up!"
"Yay! I got Mahiru!" Hiyoko grinned happily. She obviously looked through the slips, as everyone saw she kept throwing back in the original ones she picked up when choosing, but no one really minded. Mahiru was the only one who could tolerate Hiyoko on the island after all.
"And I got the cute nurse!" Ibuki raised her hands excitedly. Mikan immediately seemed flustered but shyly smiled.
"How hopeful! I've received Byakuya!" Nagito smiled and waved his slip in the air. The students immediately sighed in relief as Byakuya tolerated Nagito well and was able to keep the other in check. Byakuya seemed pleased at this aswell, after all, no one would want to hear about hope 24/7 during christmas.
"And I got Sonia." Peko smiled at the princess. Immediately Kazuichi grumbled in jealousy and put his head down defeated. Sonia however, happily skipped over to Peko and smiled at her. "In my country, I wasn't really able to celebrate Christmas..I hope you will get me in the Crisis Spirit as they say Pekoyama!" The swordswoman raised an eyebrow in confusion, "You mean the Christmas spirit right?"
"Alright Alright shut the heck up! The rest of ya come grab your papers!" Monokuma yelled, signaling the students to hurry up. Kazuichi and Hajime still kept a lookout for the missing earring as they walked, but it was hard for Kazuichi to even concentrate. Could this Christmas get any worse? First his awesome minus sign earring disappeared, and now he has to spend Christmas with Gundham Tanaka! The guy who swooned his crush and took her away from him!
He grabbed a list from the pink hat and stood to the side awkwardly, he dared not open it without Monokumas permission. He just hoped the activities he had to perform were normal and easy to finish. Hajime made his way besides him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Sad you didn't get Sonia?" he could hear the laugher in Hajimes voice and slapped his hand away. "Yeah man! But I would've been happy with anyone else..maybe except Hiyoko and Nagito, but..why him!? We hate each other!" The mechanic whined, crumbling the paper in his hands. Hajime rolled his eyes, "Hey maybe this is a good opportunity for the both of you to get along, just don't provoke him and try to have a good christmas okay?"
Kazuichi sighed and nodded, he didn't want to make his christmas even worse, so he decided to take Hajimes advice on this one.
Monokuma ordered the students to get with their respective pairs and look at their lists whenever they feel like it, however the deadline to complete it was tomorrow at 11:59pm of course. When Monokuma was done explaining that whoever didn't complete their list would immediately be punished, he and Monomi left the students to themselves.
Seeing as everyone was gathered together, Hajime decided it was a good idea to express how they should keep a lookout for Kazuichis earrings.
"Hey guys, Kazuichi lost one of his earrings so if you guys don't mind let's keep a lookout for it yeah? He asked. "Please guys! I feel incomplete without em!" The mechanic added, tugging on his beanie in distress.
"Is it because it completes your gayness!?" Hiyoko snickered, she walked over to Kazuichi and began to pull on his beanie, trying to pull it off.
"H-Hey! Leave me alone and stop calling me that!" Kazuichi backed away from her and gave her an angry glare.
"Well whatever! Your lucky if one of my charms were missing i'd go crazy, so i'll keep an eye out I guess..come on Mahiru! Let's go review our list!" Hiyoko grabbed onto the girls hand and pulled her away towards her cottage. Mahiru smiled at Kazuichi and told him she'll also keep an eye out.
Everyone else agreed and then left with their partner, including Hajime who promised to convince Monokuma and Monomi that his earring dropping wasn't littering and to get their help as well. The only people who remained at the diner were Peko, Gundham, Sonia, and of course Kazuichi. Kazuichi was far too bummed out to complain how Sonia and Gundham were chatting excitedly and instead waited for them to finish speaking with one another. Peko also waited besides him, asking him more about his earring so it'd be easier for her to look out for it.
"And what does it look like?"
"Exactly like a screw ya know? it's in two pieces, and it has a minus sign on top, like this one." Kazuichi pulled his hair back to reveal the other earring. Peko inspected it before nodding and placing a hand on her chest. "Very well then. I shall try to complete this task and do my best to deliver this earring to you." Peko had a determined look on her face and kept a cool gaze on Kazuichi with her crimson eyes. Suddenly feeling nervous, Kazuichi put his hands up defensively and sweat dropped "That uh..t-thanks Pekoyama.."
"Pekoyama are you ready to go?" Sonia suddenly called, waving over towards the two and as always, having a smile on her face. Pekoyama nodded "Ah yes.."
Sonia then turned her attention to Kazuichi and placed her hands in her lap. "Souda, I'll be sure to keep a lookout for your earring!"
"Oh! Thanks Miss Sonia! Enjoy your Christmas with Pekoyama!" Kazuichi gave a toothy grin. "Thank you! This will be a dope Crisis!" Sonia placed her hands on her hips proudly and her and Peko walked off to discuss their list together, leaving Gundham and Kazuichi behind.
"Hm..unfortunately it appears as if I must spend christmas with you, lowly mortal." Gundham frowned, it seemed as if he was just as disappointed.
"Lowly what now!? Look dude it's christmas tomorrow and my earring is gone. I'm not in the mood to bicker with you so let's just have a normal christmas okay? We can get everything over with tomorrow and then you can spend Christmas with whoever you'd like." Kazuichi huffed and handed Gundham the folded paper which had the list of activities inside. "Though i'm sure it'd be Miss Sonia..." he muttered.
"Hm? Why do you believe that?" Gundham placed the list in his pocket and pointed towards his cottage, with no complaint the two began to make their way over there. "Well don't you two like each other?" Kazuichi asked, placing his hands behind head and stretching comfortably. There was a calm ocean breeze blowing in as the two made their way towards the cottage. 'If only there was snow..' Kazuichi thought.
"Kehehe..I am not sure what brought you to this revelation, but I assure you I harbor no feelings for the she-cat." Gundham smirked. "W-Woah seriously? Guess I misunderstood..but she does like you..doesn't she?" Kazuichi asked, suddenly feeling guilty for having such a bad opinion of Gundham over something that wasn't even true to begin with. Gundham pondered for a moment before shrugging. "This I am unsure of..though I can promise you that I am simply just happy she and I are companions. A God such as me does not hold romantic feelings so easily." Gundham crossed his arms proudly as the two finally reached his cottage. He opened the door, shuffling to the side to make room for Kazuichi to enter.
"Ah..got it. Sorry for the way I've been treating you then man..guess I should apologize to Miss Sonia aswell.." Kazuichi began to grow anxious, grabbing the wrench that was always stuffed into his pocket and fiddling with it. "Do not fret mortal, It's about time you accept me as your overlord anyway! Fuahahaha!" Gundham smiled proudly. "I never said that you dork!" Kazuichi exclaimed rolling his eyes. Still anxious, he began to fiddle with his braid, "H-hey ya got anything in here I can mess with? I start feeling shaky if I can't work with my hands for a while heh.." He asked, glancing around the room. Gundham looked around for a bit before spotting a spare alarm clock and tossing it towards Kazuichi. He then pulled out a small mat and gestured for Kazuichi to sit on it. While Kazuichi began to disassemble the alarm clock, Gundham sat next to him and pulled out the folded list, waiting for the mechanic to direct his attention away from the clock.
"Hey aren't you the overlord of ice or something?" Kazuichi suddenly asked, not looking up from the alarm clock. Confused, Gundham nodded. "This is true! It is a title that I hold, as Ice is an element that I myself control. Why do you ask me to clarify this?" Gundham asked.
"Well if your the overlord of ice can ya make it snow? A white christmas would be nice wouldn't it?"
Gundham tensed up for a bit, he furrowed his brows and scoffed. "Fool! My power will not be used to please mortals, Take your attention away from that device and let us examine this paper together!" Gundham pulled the alarm clock (which looked more like a race car now) away from Kazuichi, prompting the other boy to whine and complain.
"C'mon Tanaka! Give it back!"
"Silence! Now, behold!"
Gundham opened the paper and the two began to read through it, their eyes widening with each task that was listed below.
1. Decorate the cottage
2. Exchange gifts
3. build a gingerbread house
4. Make hot cocoa and cuddle until you finish the drink
5. Kiss under a mistletoe
"G-Gah! What are these demands? K-kiss!? C-Cuddling? Monokuma wishes for your death Souda! One touch from me and your skin will peel off while you wither away into-"
"Shut up Tanaka!" Kazuichi glared at the boy angrily. "Don't say that!" he pointed at Gundham before lowering his hand and sighing.
"Man..what the hell! Why us..? This really is the worst christmas ever.." Kazuichi frowned and put his head down defeated. He just wanted to find his earring and leave this roman holiday of a trip. Truth be told, when he first heard about the event, he was excited. Because he grew up so poor, he didn't really have a proper christmas. He didn't get gifts, he didn't have the huge family dinner, he just continued helping his family out at the shop.
Gundham frowned, though him and Kazuichi didn't get along and just now settled their misunderstandings, he couldn't help but feel pity for the boy. "Do not worry Tamer of Automations, I shall command my Devas to assist in finding your earring!" Gundham lifted San-D out of his scarf and lifted it towards the mechanic. "No way man! That hamster always bites the hell outta me!" Kazuichi frantically shook his head and put his arms up in an 'X' position. Gundham rolled his eyes at this, "You fool! Move your wicked hair so San-D can inspect your other earring!" The breeder commanded. Kazuichi didn't have the energy to fight back so he brushed his hair behind his ear, watching as the hamster began to observe it. Once the deva seemed like it was done, Gundham whispered in the hamsters ear which just creeped out Kazuichi more. After a while, the hamster retreated back to Gundhams scarf.
"Rejoice! BE HAPPY! My Devas have decided they will assist you in finding your earring!" Gundham raised his hands triumphantly which earned a chuckle out of Kazuichi. "Ha..tell them I said thank you..."
"Hmph! You truly are a lucky soul..usually i'd have to sacrifice my left hand in order to have them to compromise with me and have their vengeance die down. But once I do get their acceptance, I then reward them with praises!"
"praises? like what?"
Gundhams eyes immediately lit up, "Well! I begin by praising them for going along with my wishes! I say good boy or good girl, depending on the Deva that deserves it!"
At this Kazuichi immediately became flustered, being the absolute perv he was, his mind immediately raced to other things and he fanned himself to cool the warm blush rising from his toes all the way to his head.
"R-right! Let's get back to discussing the list okay?"
Gundham agreed and they turned their attention back to the list, both absolutely flustered at the tasks they must perform if they wanted to stay alive. They both didn't say anything for a moment, just stealing glances at one another and waiting for someone to say something. Kazuichi could obviously tell Gundham wasn't going to speak up anytime soon so he took it upon himself to say something first.
"Ah..so..how are we going to do this? Should we do it in your cottage?" He asked, ignoring how shy he was becoming. Gundham nodded in agreement, but his eyes never left the list. He was to nervous to even look at Kazuichi.
"That would suffice..after breakfast, you shall make your way here. After you do we can get started. I believe Monokuma will deliver the necessities we need to finish this list." Gundham pulled his scarf over the lower half of his face as he spoke, hiding his blush. Kazuichi actually found the action kind of...cute. And as much as he'd love to tease his frenemy about it even more, he wanted to get out of the cottage and try too find his earring before christmas.
"Alright dude! Well, I'll get going then!" Kazuichi gave an awkward grin and stood up, he made his way towards the exit and after waving goodbye he left Gundhams cottage.
Once he was out of there he let out a breath he didn't even know he had. Was he seriously going to do this? He was going to spend Christmas with Gundham like they were a couple or something!?
'Man.. I gotta tell Hajime..' Kazuichi groaned as he made his way to his cottage. He passed by Nagito and Byakuya and the former seemed excited about christmas. He could hear Nagito rant to Byakuya about how hopeful it was and Byakuya just nodded in agreement to whatever he said. As Kazuichi kept walking he saw Peko jog up to him.
"Ah Pekoyama! What's up?" The mechanic waved, a bit relieved to be able to speak to someone else.
"Hello Souda. Here, I have found a piece of your earring." The swordswoman dropped the back of Kazuichis missing earring into his hand and hid a triumphant smile. "Unfortunately, I was unable to find the front..I believe it may have been kicked around since everyone is walking about. But I found this one near your cottage."
Kazuichi was so fucking happy, he could practically hug Peko but knew she absolutely loved her personal space. "Thanks Pekoyama! You're amazing dude!" He gushed, stuffing the earring back into his pocket and shaking her hand. Pekoyama blushed, flustered from the compliment. "A-ah it's no big deal..Mahiru, Hajime, and I looked for it together and she pointed it out.."
"Then I'll be sure to thank her too! How's your Christmas list?"
At this Peko blushed heavily, she began to play with her braids and hesitated before speaking. "W-well it's kind of embarrassing..I think Monokuma wanted every pair to act like a couple.." Peko whispered the last bit, her blush becoming much more visible. Kazuichi grumbled and cursed Monokuma under his breath. Was this intentional? Did he want everyone to die from embarrassment!?
After thanking Peko again, he finally made his way to his cottage. Giving the list some more thought.
"Well I have to exchange a gift.." Kazuichi thought out loud, he contemplated building something but for some reason he just..didn't feel like it. He didn't want to waste his precious metal on some edge lord that he just now started getting along with.
He looked over at his sewing supplies and found some crimson red cloth, his mind immediately flew to the purple scarf that Gundham always wore.
'That's it! I'm pretty fast with my hands and i'm tired of seeing that damn thing anyway.' he thought, grabbing the cloth and the supplies he needed.
Growing up poor, Kazuichi had learned to sew and make his own clothes from partly his father and mainly his mother. He frequently patched up his own clothing as well, as he used the skill to make extra money for his family. Before his mother had left, she gifted him his own sewing machine which he always brought with him since it was pretty much portable and a decent size.
He began to trace back to his memories of his mother teaching him how to make a simple scarf, the fabric he had was soft enough and perfect to keep Gundham warm. He wondered if it was the same material as his scarf anyway.
It took him hours to finish the scarf, he wove in some small designs like tiny little snowflakes and tiny white dots just for the fun of it before finally completing it and glancing at the clock.
It was 8pm already? Dinner would start in 2 hours and Hajime was probably worried sick about him!
He looked at the scarf and while it wasn't the most perfect scarf in the world, it was simple enough and had enough thought in it for a gift. Kazuichi was satisfied with it and quickly grabbed a box to put it in before deciding to look for wrapping later.
'Maybe I can make Miss Sonia one! I'm sure she'll love it!' he giggled to himself, standing up and stretching before heading outside. He spotted Hajime and Fuyuhiko approaching his cottage and waved at them, signaling them to hurry up.
"Hey Kaz everything alright? You haven't been out for hours!" Hajime gave his soul friend a quick high five.
"Yeah, we knocked and everything. I was about to break the fucking door down until we heard you singing. You're horrible by the way." Fuyuhiko scoffed and crossed his arms, a blush appearing on his face. "We were worried about you..especially Mahiru and Mikan! They practically forced us to come over and check on you." Fuyuhiko exclaimed, a scowl growing on his face.
Kazuichi only grinned,
"Aww our little yakuza was worried!"
"I'll fucking kill you!"
"Okay okay guys" Hajime awkwardly chuckled and held Fuyuhiko back from punching Kazuichi. "Well Kazuichi how was your list?" He then asked, changing the subject.
"Uh..I gotta kiss the dude.." Kazuichi pulled his beanie over his head to hide the stupid blush on his face. Just remembering the list flustered the hell out of him. Him kissing Gundham? It wasn't like he even swung that way..maybe? Fuyuhikos laughter brought him out of his thoughts. "No way! Your kissing goth boy! You gaylord!" He pointed at Kazuichi and began to tease him, causing the mechanic to whine and complain. Hajime was just happy to be there..knowing that his list with Fuyuhiko was just as embarrassing.

Dinner was going by rather quickly, most people sat in their pairs and avoided discussing their lists. It was almost as if everyone got the same thing, spending a romantic Christmas with whoever they got. Gundham sat with Sonia as usual, discussing the occult and other related topics. But the whole time he spoke to her, he was troubled. He had absolutely no idea what to get Kazuichi as a gift and he didn't even know if Kazuichi got him one as well. Though they settled a huge misunderstanding, they still bickered with each other. Just before lunch, they argued a bit as they always did. The breeder glanced over at the mechanic who was happily chatting away and loudly laughing with his friends. He studied him for a bit and wondered what exactly he could he get him.
"Gundham, are you listening?"
He turned around to see Sonia looking at him with her brows furrowed. "Is everything okay?" She asked, looking concerned.
"Fear not dark maiden, I am doing fine." He gave her a small smile and Sonia clapped her hands in relief. "Joy! Have you found out what you'll get Souda for christmas yet?" she asked. Gundham tensed up, she really could tell anything couldn't she? He shook his head and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "Unfortunately..Im not quite sure what he would enjoy."
Sonia thought for a moment before responding, "Well he is a mechanic isn't he? How about you give him something he can use to build and tinker with?"
"A splendid idea dark lady!"
The two then went back to conversing about the occult again, Gundham finally having a gift idea.

"On the first day of Christmas Monokuma gave to me~! A knife and a body discovery!"
"Shut the hell up you stupid bear!"
The students grumbled as they listened to Monokumas gruesome christmas rhymes. He finally finished passing out one box for each pair of partners for the christmas motive.
"Alright nerds! In here is all the stuff ya need to complete the list! Get a good rest kiddos, you'll need it! Puhuhuhu!" And as quickly as he came, he went away.
Gundham held the box in his hand and looked over at Kazuichi, who seemed anxious. "Have you retrieved your evil earring yet?" he asked, attempting to start conversation. "not really. only the back part." Kazuichi quickly answered. The atmosphere continued to be tense and awkward, they stayed quiet for a few more seconds before Kazuichi broke the ice. "Well..i'll see you tomorrow dude." He waved and left the dining hall, headed towards his own cottage to sleep through the rest of christmas eve. Gundham watched him leave anxiously, he just hoped they could both enjoy christmas together in peace.

Kazuichi woke up with an anxious mood. It was December 25th, Christmas. And what made it so bad? Well, first his earring was missing..and he was supposed to spend it with Gundham Tanaka.
He groaned and got out of bed, ignoring Monokumas morning announcement and grabbing his glasses for now just to see clear. After stretching for a minute, he sat up and opened the window, immediately met with a gorgeous sight.
Snow.
SNOW.
It was snowing! On an island?
He didn't even bother to question how, he was immediately hit with waves of excitement. He could hear Ibuki and Hiyoko cheering and screaming at everyone to wake up and play in the snow with them. Looking out the window, he could also see they had on more comfortable attire for the cold weather.
Ibuki had on a striped purple and black oversized sweater with fishnets and boots, Hiyoko had on a green kimono and large orange cardigan for extra warmth. They both played in the small snowfall and he wondered how Ibukis legs weren't totally frozen since they were exposed. Looking over at his bed, he noticed there was warmer clothes laid out for him aswell.
Black cargo pants, a black sweater, and a large black jacket with yellow pockets with the inside a matching yellow as well. Besides the clothes was a note that wrote
"stay warm! ~Monomi"
He smiled to himself and threw on the clothes as well his beanie to keep himself extra warm. After washing his face, brushing his teeth, applying his contacts, and finally his makeup, He grabbed the box he had got for Gundham and quickly wrapped it with some Monomi themed wrapping paper he bought from the market before securing it with tape and keeping it somewhere safe in his jacket. The only thing he could think about right now was the fact it was actually snowing! He snickered to himself remembering when he had asked Gundham to make it snow last night.
He opened the door and rushed out his cottage, only to immediately be hit in the face with a snowball. He yelped out of fear and turned around to find the culprit which was none other than Fuyuhiko.
The yakuza had a smirk on his face and looked even more intimidating with his heavy black jacket, grey sweater, and black pants. He took another snowball in his hands and aimed it towards Kazuichi, only to get distracted by a snowball hitting him on the side of his face.
"What the hell!? Hinata!" Fuyuhiko yelled, a blush appearing onto his face. Hajime had on a large green coat, white shirt, and black pants. He was tossing a snowball up and down and smirking at Fuyuhiko playfully. "Had to protect my bro dude." He shrugged, immediately getting hit in the face with another snowball from Fuyuhiko. Kazuichi laughed as he saw his friends have a small snowball fight and was about to jog up and join, until he noticed something.
Gundham was standing to the side, watching Sonia, Akane, and Chiaki build a snowman. He looked left out and a bit lonely, and it definitely rubbed Kazuichi in the wrong way. Kazuichi sighed and gathered up a snowball, he made his way near Gundham and took a deep breath, hoping Gundham wouldn't take it the wrong way. After composing himself, he threw the snowball at Gundham and hit him right in the back of his black coat. Startled, Gundham turned around. He had on all black and of course, his signature purple scarf. Once he noticed Kazuichi, his once lonesome look turned into shock and then fustration.
"How dare you! Are you trying to tempt me? The Overlord of Ice? I've bestowed his gift of snow upon you and you use it against me!" Gundham gathered up a snowball and began to chase Kazuichi, the mechanic yelped and started running, trying to make snowballs himself.
"Souda! Get over here immediately!"
"Chill out man! It's just a snowball!"
Gundham began to throw snowballs at Kazuichi, the mechanic couldn't help but collapse into laughter as he attempted to dodge them, most of the class stopped what they were doing to watch the two boys and decided to join in on the fun.
At this point majority of the students were having snowball fights while Gundham continued to chase Kazuichi down. Eventually, Kazuichi tripped on a small rock and Gundham instinctively grabbed onto his sleeve, falling down alongside him. The boys erupted into laughter near each other and stared at one another with a smile on their face. Gundhams cheeks began to burn up and he covered the lower half of his face with his scarf, hiding the small smile on his face. Kazuichi looked absolutely beautiful in the snow, his smile set some kind of fire in Gundhams body that he couldn't decipher. His thoughts were interrupted once he heard shuffling, turning over he realized Kazuichi was busy making a snow angel. Once he was finished he stood up and admired his work.
"Awesome! I guess you'd make a snow devil huh Tanaka?"
Gundham only chuckled and sat up, doodling small devil horns and a tail on Kazuichis snow angel.
"This is true." He replied, soon standing up and admiring his work.
"It looks stupid."
"How dare you!?"
Kazuichi laughed and turned his attention away from the snow angels, "Well we should get going..and finish up the list." Kazuichi gestured towards Gundhams cottage, while the latter was a bit upset the moment was ending, he didn't want to be unsuccessful in finishing the list and get punished. Together, they made their way over to the breeders cottage and walked inside, both sighing at the warm air overflowing their bodies. Gundham pulled out the list while Kazuichi brought the box over to the middle of the room. The two sat on the ground and Gundham allowed his devas to scatter around the room before reviewing the list alongside Kazuichi.
"Let us begin! First, we shall decorate my abode into the christmas spirit! Souda, open the box immediately!" He commanded, pointing at the box that was seated next to Kazuichi. The mechanic rolled his eyes and opened the box, pulling out various christmas decorations along with pins and tape.
The two got to work, hanging up the colorful lights and a placing miniature snowman's everywhere. Kazuichi placed a green and red Carpet on the floor and Gundham hanged up a wreath decorated with wrenches and hamsters. For finishing touches, they gave each Deva a small christmas hat and put up a small christmas tree that somehow fit inside of the box. Once they were complete the boys inspected the room and nodded in satisfaction.
"Wonderful! We did well, didn't we Tamer of Automations?"
"Yeah, I actually like it! puts me in the christmas mood!" Kazuichi replied, turning off the lights and letting the colorful ones fill up the room. It was absolutely beautiful.
Looking inside the box some more, Kazuichi pulled out a small speaker and pressed play, immediately christmas music began to play and he turned up the volume a bit, so it could just be mainly background noise. Gundham walked over and leaned down to hear the music better, seeing this Kazuichi turned up the volume more and began to tap his feet to the music.
He then stared dancing a bit, swinging his hips and nodding his head to the beat. Gundham noticed and became flustered unsure of what to do, a handsome man was dancing right in front of him..what was he supposed to do now?
Kazuichi sensed the nervousness and grabbed onto Gundhams hand, though usually Gundham would hate the touch, he was too distracted by Kazuichi to do anything. He whispered a few words to himself to remove his barrier and directed his attention right back to his..friend? The mechanic gave Gundham a warm and reassuring smile and began to dance with him, dragging him along to the beat of the music. Gundham eventually melted into the touch, allowing himself to let loose and dance a bit as well. The two danced for a while before Kazuichi let go of the taller boy and asked to see the list again.
"So, what's next?" he asked, as Gundham handed it towards him.
"I believe you are supposed to bring me my offering now, I do hope you brought something that will throughly please me." Gundham smirked, he honestly still wasn't sure if Kazuichi even brought something but that immediately was proven wrong as he saw Kazuichi pull out a box. His expression became a bit surprised and he was even flustered by the gift.
"Go on, open it.." Kazuichi had beads of sweat dripping from his forehead, afraid Gundham may not even like the gift. Gundham noticed the anxiety and decided to hurry, he carefully took off the wrapping paper and lifted the lid of the box. Upon seeing the fabric neatly folded in there he was a bit confused on what it may be but once pulling it out, he was overcome with astonishment.
He held the scarf in his hands and examined it while a warm blush rose across his face, but even so, he didn't even bother to hide it. "This.." he started, but was unable to find the correct words.
"D-do ya not like it? C'mon man I spent hours making that! At least pretend!" Kazuichi whined, disappointed.
"You made this?"
"Yeah! What you didn't know I knew how to sew and do all that shit?"
Gundham was speechless, he carefully took his scarf off and Kazuichi got to see his neck for the first time, a bit surprised by the action. Gundham wrapped the crimson red scarf around his neck and smiled, letting the soft fabric caress his fingers. "Thank you..I will cherish this offering very well." he buried his face into the scarf, genuinely happy. Kazuichi was relieved and let out a sigh. "Oh thank the stars you like it! I was worried for a sec..so uh..where's mine?" he asked, genuinely curious and excited.
Gundham reached in his pocket and pulled out a rectangular box, much similar to the one Kazuichi used. It didn't have any wrapping paper so Kazuichi simply lifted the lid. Inside was a wrench, but it wasn't just some regular old wrench like the one Kazuichi always carried on him.
It was a pink one, decorated with gem stones and small paw prints, most likely belonging to the devas. Kazuichis eyes lit up and Gundham swore he saw stars in them.
"Alright! Dude this is so cool, definitely my new signature wrench!" Kazuichi thanked Gundham and began to fiddle with the tool happily, pretending it was a weapon and playfully hitting Gundham with it.
"Aha! My Devas were correct to pick out the gift! San-D also has a gift for you." Gundham called for the hamster and San-D made their way towards the two, holding the front piece of Kazuichis earrings on its back.
"N-no way! Your silly hamster found it!"
"It is not a hamster it is a Dark Deva of Destruction! You fool!"
Kazuichi took the earring from the hamsters back and fished out the other piece from his pocket, he examined them and smiled seeing as there was no damage.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to examine them.." Gundham asked, curious as to what they looked like up close. Kazuichi shrugged and handed them to him, Gundham looked at them and sure enough it was definitely a screw earring with a minus sign on top.
"..If you don't mind..may I..place them on you?" Gundham shyly asked, he didn't know why he asked to do that, just wanting to make a good impression. Kazuichi was caught of guard but only nodded and brushed his hair behind his ear, placing his hands on his lap nervously. Gundham leaned in and placed the earring into the piercing hole, securing it with the back and then moving away. He knew he was blushing, he knew Kazuichi was as well, but he wasn't embarrassed..it felt..nice even. The two stared at each other for a bit, a small smile on their faces.
"Guess we should get to the gingerbread houses huh?"
"I believe so."
they searched through the box again and found the materials they needed, they both got to work. As Gundham arranged the gingerbread pieces into a large castle for some reason, Kazuichi secured them with frosting and decorated them using small candies.
While Gundham was busy making a roof, Kazuichi squeezed a bit of frosting onto his finger and pressed it onto Gundhams nose. Gundham immediately grabbed the frosting from the other boy and began to put some on his face as well. The two had their little frosting war until they ran out and their gingerbread castle was finally complete.
And because Kazuichi was a sucker for sweets, he took it upon himself to eat majority of the castle, while Gundham settled with a few.
And next came the last two steps the boys were both equally embarrassed of.
"Do we really have to do this?" Kazuichi asked as he put bars of dairy free chocolate into hot almond milk, he added a bit of sugar, marshmallows, and crushed up candy canes aswell.
"It would be wise not to upset the wretched bear Souda.." Gundham fixed up his bed, deciding to cuddle with Kazuichi on there. He moved pillows to the side and watched as Kazuichi approached him with two mugs, both filled with hot cocoa. "let's get this over with.." he muttered, clearly embarrassed. The two made their way onto the bed with their respective cups and sat down, a bit away from each other.
"shall I be the..erm, big spoon?" Gundham asked, unsure if Kazuichi had even cuddle before because he acted like he pulled no bitches almost every day. The mechanic blushed and looked away. "do whatever you want." he finally said after hesitating a bit.
Gundham nodded and wrapped his arm around Kazuichis waist, tilting his head with his hand so it rested onto his shoulder. Gundham didn't have a freehand to hide his blush with his new scarf, so he just allowed it to show, quickly taking sips of his hot chocolate and just wanting to finish it quickly. He glanced over at Kazuichi who had a small smile on his face, leaning comfortably on Gundhams shoulder. He also was taking sips of his hot chocolate, just enjoying the comfort. This brought a smile to Gundhams face and he just wanted to kiss the other boy, but he would get to do that later.
"Are you enjoying yourself?" he asked teasingly. Kazuichi scoffed and rolled his eyes playfully, "If I said no, i'd be lying..it's nice i guess." he took another sip of his hot chocolate and chewed on a half melted broken candy cane. Gundham nodded in agreement and pulled Kazuichi even closer, though the boys finished their hot chocolate and placed it on the floor beneath them they couldn't even let go of each other. Gundham used his now free arm to completely embrace Kazuichi and Kazuichi adjusted his body so he could wrap his arms around Gundhams neck. They pressed their foreheads together and let their breaths mingle, so sucked into the moment that they didn't want to let go. To Kazuichi, this was the perfect moment to complete their list.
Gundham then noticed Kazuichi remove an arm from his neck and reach into his pocket, he pulled out an object and hanged it over them dangling it around. "We're under the mistletoe..~" he whispered, smirking playfully.
Gundham wasted absolutely no time grabbing Kazuichis cheeks and kissing him, the mechanic was definitely caught off guard but reciprocated the kiss, placing a hand on Gundhams thigh for balance. He then slithered a hand behind Gundhams head and tugged on his hair, bringing him deeper. Gundham began to nibble on Kazuichis bottom lip, asking for entrance into his mouth. The mechanic parted his lips and slipped his tongue into Gundhams mouth, prompting the breeder to do the same. At this point the mistletoe was on the floor next to them, and all the boys could do was make out with each other.
Gundham could taste hints of chocolate and peppermint in Kazuichis mouth, the taste was absolutely addicting and he did his best to explore it all over, not wanting to let the beautiful taste go to waste.
Kazuichi moaned into the kiss as he felt Gundham become more daring, he could feel himself melting into a puddle, never did he expect this to happen, but he was glad it did.
Gundham attempted to keep his balance, but eventually failed. So instead, he pulled Kazuichi down on top of him and continued the kiss while having his back on the bed. Kazuichi tugged on his scarf and brought him even closer, after a while he parted and stared at Gundham, a thin line of saliva connected their lips and their large breaths brought them back to reality. Part of him was in shock while the other part of him just wanted to kiss him even more.
"Heh..merry christmas Kazuichi.."
"Just shut up and kiss me you dork."

"Wow, that's such a cute gift!"
Sonia marveled at Gundhams new scarf, which he of course, wore to breakfast the next morning.
"Souda is very thoughtful for that isn't he? I had no idea he had such skills!" Sonia put her hands together happily, Peko had gotten her a beautiful jewel choker which she adored.
Gundham nodded and buried his face into the scarf, blushing madly. He glanced over at Kazuichi who was already looking at him, a visible blush on his face.
"Yes..it was a very good Christmas indeed.."
"Dude you keep staring at Tanaka..what happened in there?" Hajime asked his friend, waving his hands in front of him.
"W-Wha!? Nothing dude! I'm just..embarrassed you know..it was wild.."
Hajime chuckled and continued to eat the kusamochi Fuyuhiko had gotten him. "Yeah it was wild for me as well, but I actually enjoyed it! Fuyuhikos a great person to spend Christmas with!" he beamed, enjoying the delicious mochi instead of the usual cafeteria breakfast. "Oh and you found your earring? Guess your Christmas was good after all huh?"
Kazuichi took a glance at his now-boyfriend, they both made eye contact and Gundham smiled, giving him a small wave as well, Kazuichi blushed.
"Yeah..it was an awesome Christmas." He smiled back.
