Felix looks at the tickets available, six of them remaining, before biting his lower lip hard enough to rip the skin clean off, and he cries out, slamming his laptop screen down before bawling into his hands, the sound catching the attention of Chan. The older boy had been sat at his desk whilst Felix sat at his and immediately got up and crossed the small expanse of room that separated them when Felix cried.

“Lix? What’s wrong?” Chan says, warm hand coming up to settle at the back of Felix’s head, fingers quickly getting entangled in the younger’s soft blonde strands. Felix sniffles and pulls his head out of his hands, looking up at Chan’s worried face with his lips pushed out in a pout and tears making their way down his cheeks.

“I can’t get tickets home, there are none.” Felix whimpers. He’s not in pain, nor is he sad, but he’s hamming up the act to get more of his Channie’s sympathy. And sure enough, Chan’s sympathy comes thick and fast.

Chan pulls Felix’s chair back and crouches down in front of him, hands gently taking Felix’s.

“I’m sorry Lix.” Chan says and Felix just sniffles, a soft whine leaving his lips. “I’ll cancel my ticket home and I’ll spend the holidays with you, yeah?” Chan says, voice gentle, and the response he gets is what he wants, but he can’t believe Chan was giving it to him so easily.

“No, Channie, you don’t have to.” Felix pouts, leaning closer to Chan’s face. The older boy is blushing lightly, and Felix mentally giggles at how adorable he looks.

“I want to, Felix. I don’t want you to be alone.” Chan presses and Felix does giggle then, drinking up the way Chan’s eyes light up at the sound.

“Thank you Channie.” Felix says, leaning forward and kissing Chan’s cheek, before coaxing the older boy to stand up. “I’m gonna shut my laptop down and then head downstairs, okay?” Felix asks, smiling at Chan. Chan is momentarily entranced before he flushes out of his daze and nods.

“Sure. I’ll join you soon, just gonna finish this assignment.” Chan says, making his way back over to his desk and Felix hums, quickly shutting down his laptop before skipping over to Chan’s desk. He laces his arms around the older boy’s neck, loving the way Chan’s breath hitches and he subtly leans back into Felix’s embrace. Felix pecks the skin of Chan’s neck, goosebumps rising on the older boy’s skin, and Felix thanks him once more, his lips still pressed against Chan’s neck, before pulling away and walking off. He giggles once he’s out of his room and happily skips away to go find someone else to taunt.

It’s a few days later that the truth about Felix and Chan staying at the dorm comes out. Felix enters the living room just as Changbin turns to Chan, asking him his question.

“Chan, when are you leaving for Australia?” Changbin asks him, taking a bite of his cookie once he’s finished talking. Chan turns to him, and Felix can just make out a loving sparkle in the eldest boy’s eyes.

“I’m not.” Chan says and everyone turns to him then.

“Huh? Why not?” Jisung asks, a confused look on his face as he rests his head against Minho’s shoulder, the older boy’s arm wrapped protectively around Jisung’s waist. Felix looks at them with what he’s pretty sure is a lovesick gaze but Chan turns to look at Felix after he finishes speaking, and Felix sighs, tearing his eyes away to look at Chan.

“I couldn’t get tickets home, so Channie cancelled his to stay with me.” Felix says, pushing his lips out in a pout and revelling in the sympathy that comes pouring in from his adoring friends.

“Oh Lix, why didn’t you say anything?” Changbin says, swallowing down the final bite of his cookie. He has a small pout on his lips that Felix is pretty sure he’s unaware of, and Felix has to hold back his giggle at how adorable the older boy looks.

“I don’t know.” Felix says, voice quiet and Jeongin coos, pulling Felix into his side. Felix purrs like a cat, snuggling into the warmth that Jeongin gives off.

“I’ll cancel my ticket and stay with you guys too.” Jeongin mutters, and Felix makes a noise of confusion.

“Innie, no, it’s okay.” Felix protests, but as he looks at Jeongin’s phone, he sees the younger hitting cancel on his ticket. “Innie!”

“Shush.” Is all Jeongin replies with, and everyone laughs at their maknae’s short, curt replies.

“I’ll cancel too.” Jisung says, whipping his phone out from his hoodie and Felix whines, tears pricking the corners of his eyes. Minho, Changbin, Hyunjin and Seungmin all say the same thing, quickly cancelling their tickets and telling their parents, and Felix ends up full ugly sobbing once Hyunjin, the last one to cancel, confirms his cancellation. It’s what Felix wanted, everyone at the dorm with him for Christmas, but he can’t believe everyone is actually doing it.

“I love you g-guys.” Felix hiccups, pressing himself into Jeongin’s side more and the fox-like boy hugs him closer, whispering soothing words to him. Felix feels a sweetness akin to cotton candy fluff up in his heart and he whines, shifting closer and practically laying atop Jeongin.

“You wanna lay down, Lixie?” Jeongin asks and Felix, sniffling his little head off, nods, unable to word things due to how lovesick and love drunk he feels. Jeongin adjusts them so their laying down, Felix nuzzling his head into Jeongin’s chest, and Felix pointedly ignores his friends cooing, knowing his heart can’t take all their combined lovey-dovey natures right now. Not after what they just did for him. A sound somewhat like purring leaves his mouth but he’s too far gone on the feeling of Jeongin’s arms around him to care about it.

“I love you guys.” Felix mumbles, the words muffled into Jeongin’s chest, but his friends hear him, and they all share their sentiments. When Jeongin say the words back to him, the sound zips up Felix’s spine and settles at the base of his skull, making his head spin in the most delicious and delirious kind of ways.

Felix lifts his head up, placing a feather-light kiss on the underside of Jeongin’s chin, before nuzzling back against the younger’s chest again. Felix can feel the heat radiating off of Jeongin and just barely suppresses his giggles. He feels tiredness seep into his brain and Felix closes his eyes, letting sleep win over him.

Felix just barely feels Jeongin’s lips against the crown of his head as he falls asleep.

*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*

Felix sneezes before bursting into giggles when Jisung also sneezes straight after. It had snowed yesterday and the two, alongside Changbin, had spent the entire day in the snow, inevitably getting sick. Changbin was the sickest, barely able to leave his bed, and Minho had immediately gone into caretaker mode, not letting Changbin do anything. Felix had stared at Minho with awe every time he came downstairs to check on them or get something for Changbin, and Felix decides he really needs to keep himself in check.

Jisung whines, pulling Felix out of his thoughts, before standing up and shuffling over to the couch Felix is sprawled over.

“Lix.” Jisung whines, dragging out the sound. “Can we cuddle?” Jisung is pouting now, and Felix was never one to reject affection anyways, let alone when one of his friends starts pouting so, with a sniffle, he opens his arms up for Jisung to jump in between, the slightly older boy happily cuddling into his side. Jisung shuffles around for a little bit, getting comfortable, before finally settling into Felix’s side with a content-sounding hum that rattles up Felix’s spine.

“You comfy?” Felix whispers, voice hoarse from his cold, and Jisung hums once more, pressing closer to Felix.

The two sit in silence for a while, the only sounds audible being their open-mouthed breathing, their sniffles and the random tv show that’s sitting on half volume on the screen. Jisung yawns at one point and Felix coos, brushing some of the older boy’s blue hair out of his face. It’s starting to fade, hints of brown starting to come through at his roots, but Felix still thinks Jisung looks adorable, and says as much to him.

“Thank you baby.” Jisung mumbles, and Felix’s breath hitches at the nickname. He knows the smaller boy is too sleepy to have registered the words, so Felix just pushes them aside, ignoring the heat still lingering on his cheeks.

“No problem, Ji. Why don’t you go to sleep, huh? You seem tired.” Felix mumbles and Jisung hums, smacking his lips a couple of times before lifting his head and peeking up at Felix through his lashes.

“Nap wif me?” Jisung asks, the words distorted by sleep, and Felix coos, hand reaching up to play with the hair at the back of Jisung’s head. Jisung’s eyes slip close momentarily, a serene smile settling on his face, and Felix has to stop himself from leaning in and kissing the older boy.

“Sure, Ji.” Felix says instead, voice soft, and Jisung giggles quietly, snuggling into Felix’s chest again.

“Fank yew.” The words are whispered against Felix’s pink hoodie, but Felix still hears them, and he just smiles, lightly scratching at the nape of Jisung’s neck before going back to his gentle stroking ministrations.

“Sleep well, Sungie.” Felix whispers and Jisung hums, indecipherable words leaving his lips. Jisung presses a gentle, sleepy kiss against Felix’s clothed chest before falling asleep, breath coming out in soft pants and Felix smiles at him. “So cute.” He whispers, as quiet as he can make it, before reaching out for his phone.

Bringing up the camera, Felix angles it to capture both his slightly grimy yet still smiling face as well as Jisung’s sleeping form, before taking the picture. It’s cute and he saves it to a private folder that he had, in a bout of fever-fuelled wish fulfilment insanity, called “the boyfriends”. He looks over a few of the more recent pictures in there, getting lost in their cuteness, before Jisung shuffles on his chest, alerting him back to the present. Felix giggles and locks his phone, placing it on the couch next to him again.

“Sorry, Ji. All my attention is on you, don’t worry.” Felix mumbles before finally deciding to sleep. He closes his eyes as he hears footsteps come down the stairs and he allows sleepiness to overtake him.

The person who enters the room is Seungmin, Felix can tell by the gentle footsteps, and he hears the younger boy coo, before Felix guesses he takes pictures, because the younger giggles about sending something to the group chat not even two minutes later. The steps retreat from the living room and just after Felix’s phone pings. He ignores it, too tired to care right now, and finally gives in to sleep, cuddling Jisung even closer to his chest.

Felix falls asleep with a smile on his face and a warmth brewing in his heart.

*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*

Felix blinks awake, whining at the cold. He had snuck into Minho’s bed last night, the older welcoming him into his arms before grumbling for Felix to shut up and sleep, but the older boy wasn’t with him now. Felix sits up, blinding grabbing for his phone, before turning it on. The light is bright, and he winces at it, but he looks at the time, seeing 10:44am displayed on his screen. Felix goes to sit up when the door handle turns and Minho walks in, a look of shock crossing his features at Felix’s awake form before a soft smile replaces it instead.

“Hey Lix. I was just gonna wake you up to ask if you wanted breakfast.” Minho’s voice is soft and Felix smiles at him.

“Mmm, please.” Felix says, voice still deep with sleep and Minho chuckles, making his way over to Felix who is still sat in his bed, eyes blinking drearily.

“You wanna come sit in the kitchen whilst I make it?” Minho asks and Felix nods, throwing his arms out at Minho. The older boy laughs and pulls Felix into his embrace, hands coming to settle under his ass, and Felix giggles as Minho carries him, the deepness in his voice contrasting the pure joy of the giggling.

They enter the kitchen and Minho places Felix on the side, caging him in. Felix giggles before leaning in and kissing Minho’s cheek.

“Make me pancakes?” Felix asks, pushing his lips out into a pout as he blinks rapidly at Minho. The older boy gets transfixed before looking away.

“Sure.” Felix goes to hop down and help when Minho turns back to him. “Ah, stay there. I’ll give you things to help with, just stay there.” Felix huffs playfully, before giggling when Minho rolls his eyes at him.

“Thank you Min!” Felix giggles, his laughter only increasing when he sees the tips of Minho’s ears are flushed red. Minho adds all the ingredients for the pancake batter into a bowl and hands it to Felix, the younger happily whisking away.

Chan enters the kitchen a few minutes later, just as Minho takes the bowl from Felix’s grip, and Felix gasps, beckoning Chan over.

“Channie! Min is making me pancakes.” Felix giggles and Chan smiles at him.

“Lucky you.” Chan says, dimples on display, and Felix leans forward to latch his arms around Chan’s shoulder, pulling him close.

“Do you want some?” Minho asks, eyes fixated on the pan as he cooks.

“No thanks. Meant to be going gym now.” Chan says before turning to face Felix with a playful glare. “If this little gremlin decides to let go of me, that is.” Felix giggles and kisses Chan on the corner of the lips, delighting in the way the older boy’s cheeks flush red.

“Never.” Felix giggles again and Minho laughs with him, before turning to face the pair.

“If you don’t let go, you won’t get pancakes, Lix.” Minho warns, tone playful, and Felix gasps, immediately unlacing his hands from around Chan’s neck. “Good boy.” Minho continues and Felix flushes red, the praise filling his head with fluff.

“You okay Lix?” Chan whispers to him and Felix tries to respond but the words come out garbled, prompting Chan to laugh. “You broke him Min.” Minho laughs at that, plating up Felix’s pancakes for him and Chan steps away from between the younger’s legs to get him down. Felix slips off the counter, cheeks still tinged with red and brain still fuzzy, before sitting at the table, mumbling a small ‘thank you’ before digging in. He remains unaware of the look Chan and Minho share over his head.

Chan turns, grabbing his water bottle and filling it up before exiting the door, saying his goodbyes. Felix yells goodbye at him, a bright smile on his face as he cuts up and eats another piece of his pancake. Minho sits on the table next to him, a cup of coffee in one hand whilst he browses his phone with the other, and Felix admires the sight of the older boy. He’s gorgeous, he really is, and Felix has to suppress the urge to kiss Minho as a thank you for cooking for him.

“Are they okay, Felix?” Minho asks, briefly looking up from his phone, and Felix nods, mouth full of pancake. Minho laughs softly, and reaches over, gently brushing his thumb along the corner of Felix’s mouth. When he pulls back, Felix can see the shiny goldenness of the maple syrup from his pancakes and he flushes lightly, his flush only deepening when Minho licks the maple syrup up.

Felix quickly throws himself back into eating his pancakes, finishing them up quickly, before picking up his plate and taking it to  the sink. As he wipes the plate and his cutlery down, Minho gets up and makes his way over, wrapping his arms around Felix’s waist and pressing a gentle kiss to the exposed skin of Felix’s shoulder.

“You okay Min?” Felix whispers. Minho hums, the sound reverberating down Felix’s spine, before he nuzzles in closer again.

“Cold.” Minho responds with and Felix just giggles, placing his things to the side to be dried before leaning back in Minho’s embrace.

“You wanna go cuddle, Min?” Felix asks and Minho nods, feeling like a nuzzling cat pressed into Felix’s neck. “Come on then.” Felix responds, gentle fingers playfully prying at Minho’s arms and the older boy lets go, only to latch his hand around Felix’s wrist instead.

Minho drags him all the way upstairs and back into his bed before he finally lets go of Felix’s wrist.

“’M sleepy.” Minho mumbles, face smushed into his pillow, and Felix giggles, pressing closer to Minho’s form.

“Nap if you want, baby.” Felix says, the word slipping out before he can stop it. The lack of response from Minho has dread filling his form, but Felix turns to look at him anyways. What he isn’t expecting is for Minho to be fast asleep, a soft pout on his lips as he snoozes. Felix giggles and presses a gentle kiss on the bridge of Minho’s nose, delighting in the way Minho’s nose scrunches in response to the gentle touch, even in his sleep. Felix whispers to him before snuggling into Minho once more.

“Sleep well, Minho.”

*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*

The click of the door opening followed by a yelp sound and a huge thud echoes through the hallway. Felix launches off the couch, running to the doorway to see what happened. He finds Seungmin sat in a pile of bags and snow on the front door mat, and he giggles at how adorable his puppy-like crush looks.

“Minnie, what happened?” Felix asks, sinking down onto his knees in front of Seungmin to brush away some of the snow that’s still lingering in the younger’s red strands. He’s sniffling and Felix pouts upon realising that’s he sniffing out of sadness, not because he’s cold. “Minnie?” Felix prompts again and the red-haired boy looks up at him then, eyes wide and wet with tears.

“I twisted my ankle.” Seungmin whimpers and Felix pouts again, gently brushing away some of the tears making their way down Seungmin’s soft cheeks.

“How badly?” Felix asks, cupping Seungmin’s face and the younger hiccups as fresh tears form in his eyes.

“Not, not too bad. But it really hurt to walk home.” Seungmin pouts and Felix coos, gently kissing the tip of Seungmin’s very red nose.

“You should’ve called someone to come help you! Now come on, puppy, let me look at it.” Felix says, gently coaxing the younger to stand up with Felix’s help. Seungmin shrugs his coat off, Felix taking it and placing it on the radiator as the younger gently toes his shoes off. They leave the bags by the door, a pout settling on Felix’s face as he watches Seungmin limp into the kitchen. The younger must’ve done some serious damage if he was limping that badly.

Seungmin hefts himself up onto the side, still sniffling slightly, face damp with tears, and Felix settles in between the taller boy’s legs, rubbing gently at the tops of Seungmin’s thighs.

“You okay, puppy?” Felix asks, checking over the younger one last time before looking at his leg. Seungmin nods, a soft hiccupping sound leaving his lips, so Felix steps back, crouching down to look at Seungmin’s legs. Seungmin gently lifts up the right leg of his sweatpants, whimpering as he does so, and Felix’s gentle mumbles of assurance fall to silence as he takes in the deep red bruising staining the skin of Seungmin’s ankle. It’s slowly turning purple and black, and Felix feels so bad for Seungmin.

“Minnie, what happened?” Felix asks as he crosses over to the small medical box that sits in the corner of the kitchen, mostly unused apart from when Changbin and Jisung’s clumsiness gets the best of them. He grabs some alcohol wipes and the roll of soft bandages before making his way back over to the pouting puppy still sitting on the kitchen side.

“There, there was a little kid running at me and I didn’t notice until last second. I managed to get out of the way but rolled my a-ankle in the process.” Seungmin sniffles and Felix coos, muttering a small ‘too cute’ as he crouches down once more to look at the swollen skin of Seungmin’s ankle.

As Felix gently wipes at the skin with some alcohol wipes, pulling Seungmin’s sock off when he realises the bruise goes lower, Jeongin comes downstairs and peeks his head into the kitchen, a question dying on his lips as he looks at the sight he’s stumbled across.

“Hey what’s up with all the ba- what’s happening?” Jeongin shifts topic and Seungmin sniffles, making grabby hands at Jeongin. The youngest makes his way over, allowing Seungmin to pull him into an awkward hug, a loud whimper leaving his lips when Felix accidentally presses the skin of Seungmin’s ankle too harshly. Felix had been watching Jeongin come in, admiring how pretty the fox-liked boy looked, and had accidentally lost focus on Seungmin’s leg.

“Sorry Minnie.” Felix mumbles, finally settling the alcohol wipes to one side and picking up the bandage. Felix looks up at Jeongin, noticing the look of confusion on his face. “Minnie rolled his ankle.” He continues and Jeongin nods, a small pout settling on his lips as he turns to face Seungmin.

“Seungmin, you need to be more careful.” Jeongin softly chastises him, and Felix stares up at them both, a soft adoring smile on his face. He’s so in love with both of them, it’s insane. But he throws himself into bandaging Seungmin’s ankle, not quite ready to have his love spill out of him in overwhelming waves yet. He takes the bandage around Seungmin’s ankle, eyes furrowing further and further with each wince that leaves Seungmin’s lips, before taking it under the younger’s heel. He repeats this a few more times before securing the bandage and stepping back, bandage roll and leftover alcohol wipes in his hand. Felix puts the things away before turning to the younger pair again, smiling at them softly when he finds them already staring at him.

“Thank you Felix.” Seungmin says as Felix steps closer. He laces his arms around Felix’s neck, pulling him closer, and Felix shivers when he feels Seungmin place a wet kiss on the skin of his cheek.

“Anytime puppy.” Felix whispers and Jeongin smiles at them both, his bread smile wide on his face.

“Do you want me to run your bags upstairs, Seungmin? Then maybe we can all cuddle on the couch?” Jeongin asks and Seungmin turns to Jeongin, his face still pressed against Felix’s, and nods softly, the movement fussing up both his and Felix’s hair. Jeongin giggles before turning and running off and Felix can just make out all five of Seungmin’s bags on Jeongin’s arms as he runs upstairs.

“Come on, Seungmin, do you reckon you can walk to the couch?” Felix asks, voice gentle as he pulls away from Seungmin. The puppy-like boy nods, gently shifting off of the counter, and Felix supports him, helping the younger into the living room. As he settles Seungmin onto the couch, the younger boy spots Changbin’s pink pig-patterned blanket and gasps, snatching it up before cuddling into it. Felix coos at the sight and quickly unlocks his phone, subtly taking a picture and sending it to Changbin before making his way over to cuddle with Seungmin. Jeongin joins them thirty seconds later and the pair make space for him, Seungmin being the centre of their cuddle puddle.

A random movie is playing on the screen and Felix finds himself absorbed in it until three minutes later when Jeongin whispers his name. He turns to look only to find the younger boy pointing at Seungmin. Felix barely manages to bite back his coo as he looks at Seungmin. The puppy-like boy is fast asleep, lips slightly parted as he rests his head on Jeongin’s shoulder, his non-injured leg hanging over Felix’s lap, and his red hair is slightly mottled with melted snow. Felix giggles quietly and looks at Jeongin. Jeongin smiles softly before placing a gentle kiss against the crown of Seungmin’s head. Felix copies his actions before picking up Jeongin’s hand and placing a kiss there too, not wanting his youngest crush to feel left out from all the affection.

Jeongin turns back to the TV, cheeks and ears tinged a vicious shade of red and Felix giggles.

“Too cute Innie.” Felix mumbles and Jeongin’s face brightens even more somehow, huffing lightly despite the adoring smile on his face.

“Shut it Lix.”

*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*

As Felix walks down the stairs, he hears crying and immediately rushes to find the culprit. It’s  Hyunjin, curled up in the corner of the outhouse, and Felix is quick to sink to his knees in front of Hyunjin, gently coaxing the older boy to look at him. Hyunjin’s eyes are soaked with tears, cheeks red and lips bloody, and Felix mutters words of encouragement as he wipes away some of Hyunjin’s tears that linger on his cheeks.

“Jinnie, angel, why are you crying?” Felix asks, gently taking Hyunjin’s hands in his own, rubbing soothing circles on the back of his palms.

“It’s nothing.” Hyunjin mumbles sourly and Felix huffs, pressing his face closer to Hyunjin’s.

“You can tell me anything, you know that.” Felix whispers and Hyunjin lifts his eyes up to look at Felix once more before sobbing again, pulling his hands free from Felix’s and burying his wet face into them.

“You’ll hate me.” The words are muffled and hard to make out and Felix has to take a few seconds to decipher what Hyunjin says, but he eventually figures it out, a noise of confusion worming its way out of his throat.

“I promise you I won’t.” Felix says, voice adoring and gentle and Hyunjin pulls his face out of his hands.

“O-okay.” Hyunjin stutters, sniffling before wiping at his eyes and nose. “I’m crying because,” he pauses, taking in a deep breath and swallowing down the tears threatening to form. “Because today was the day I was meant to go home and I’m sad that I’m not.” Hyunjin whispers out and Felix feels something within him shatter. Hyunjin was crying because of him, Hyunjin’s tears were his fault and now Felix was faced with the consequences of his own selfish actions.

“Oh Hyunjin, I’m so sorry.” Felix mumbles, taking Hyunjin’s hands in his again. “You didn’t have to stay because of me, angel.” Hyunjin just laughs, a wet and bitter sound, and Felix worries what Hyunjin is going to say next.

“I wanted to stay. I chose to stay. I’m just, I’m just being pathetic.” The last part is whispered but Felix hears it loud and clear, and before he can stop himself, he’s leaning in and placing a gentle kiss on the corner of Hyunjin’s mouth. The older boy’s breath hitches and Felix tenses himself, before Hyunjin giggles, and Felix allows himself to calm down.

“You’re not pathetic Hyunjin. Thank you for staying with me.” Hyunjin huffs, wiping his nose once more before adjusting to sit up properly.

“It’s you, Lix. I’m pretty sure you could get the entire world to follow your commands if you pouted hard enough.” Hyunjin says, flushing once he registers his words and Felix laughs, the sound joyous and unrestrained.

“You flatter me.” Felix jokes, a playful glare settling over his eyes as he pouts his lips out in fake annoyance. Hyunjin gets transfixed, eyes locking on Felix’s lips, and Felix drops the act, giggling at Hyunjin’s awestruck luck. “You wanna kiss me so bad.” Felix giggles, taunting Hyunjin as he drags out the ‘so’. Hyunjin flushes again then, face a vibrant shade of red and he covers his face with his hands, knees coming up to cover him too.

“I do.” It’s whispered and very hard to hear but Felix hears it, heat filling his entire body.

“I won’t mind.” Felix whispers, eyes avoiding Hyunjin’s form, but he can see the older boy’s head whip up.

“Really?!” Hyunjin sounds excited and Felix squeezes his eyes shut for a brief second to try and compose himself before opening them again, turning to look at Hyunjin. He doesn’t say anything, just leans in and places a gentle kiss on Hyunjin’s lips, the taller boy gasping when they separate. “Again?” It’s a whispered command that Felix quickly follows, pressing another gentle kiss against Hyunjin’s lips and when the two part, they find themselves staring at each other with wide, sparkly eyes.

It takes Jisung coming down and turning into the outhouse for them to look away, both flushing red when Jisung laughs at them. Both Felix and Hyunjin screech at the words Jisung yells out, quickly rushing to explain the truth.

“Chan! Felix and Hyunjin are kissing!”

*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*

Felix tiptoes around the kitchen, careful with his steps so as to not wake the seven beautiful boys sleeping upstairs. He’s got half a dozen trays of baked goods sitting around on the sides and he’s still not done with his vigorous Christmas Eve night baking. It’s nearly Christmas Day, the time displayed on his phone reading 22:47pm and Felix hums along to the quiet music playing.

Footsteps on the stairs has Felix looking up from his icing. Changbin’s figure stands in the doorway, eyes closed as he rubs at them, and a small pout sits on his face.

“Lix, why are you awake?” Changbin asks, voice heavy with sleep, and Felix coos, setting down his icing before making his way over to Changbin.

“Couldn’t sleep. How’d you know I was awake?” Felix asks as the older boy nuzzles into his chest.

“Woke up from a nightmare. Went to go sleep in Channie’s bed when I noticed you were gone  from yours, so I came to find you.” Changbin mumbles and Felix coos, pulling Changbin’s face out of his chest.

“You wanna talk about it?” Felix asks, tone gentle, and Changbin shakes his head, nuzzling back into Felix’s chest. Felix laughs at that, the sound rumbling through Changbin’s form, before he places a gentle kiss on the top of Changbin’s head. “I need to finish baking, Binnie, you gotta let go.” Changbin whines, reluctantly letting go and Felix turns back to his icing, only to feel the older boy’s arms wrap around him from behind, causing Felix to laugh again.

“Whas so funny?” Changbin mumbles, his cheek pressed against Felix’s back, and Felix awws as he finishes icing the cookie he was working on.

“You’re such a clingy baby.” Felix teases and Changbin huffs, pressing closer.

“Yours.” Is all Changbin responds with, and Felix feels something burn up within him at the singular word. Something that he brushes aside to deal with tomorrow.

“Binnie, baby, go climb into my bed, I’ll join you after I finish these cookies, okay?” Felix whispers and Changbin whines, a small ‘don wan leave’ leaving his lips and Felix coos. “Okay, do you think you can stay awake whilst I finish icing these last five cookies?” Changbin nods, the feeling of the movement against Felix’s back making his head tingle, but he turns back to the cookies and gets to icing them rapidly.

When he’s finally done with the cookies, Felix gently detangles the older boy from his back and packs things up, cleaning up the last few items that he had left to clean before turning to face Changbin again. He’s swaying where he stands, arms wrapped around himself, and Felix coos, rushing forward to hug Changbin again.

“Hi Binnie.” Felix whispers. Changbin blinks awake, his eyes milky with sleep, and Felix can’t resist the urge to lean down and press a gentle kiss on the bridge of Changbin’s nose.

“You missed.” Changbin says quietly and Felix tilts his head in confusion. Changbin leans up on his tiptoes, pressing the gentlest kiss to Felix’s lips before pulling away with a yawn that has Felix giggling. The feeling of Changbin’s lips on his own has Felix’s head swimming but he turns away from that, tucking the wonderful sensation down in his brain.

“Dance with me, Felix.” Changbin sleepily commands and Felix agrees, letting the older boy lead the way. They aren’t really dancing so much as they are swaying but the feeling of Changbin’s hands in his as they slowly move, the older boy’s head resting against his chest, has Felix’s head spinning and spinning, all the love he feels for Changbin building and building within him. Felix stops them, Changbin whining at that, but Felix cuts him off with a kiss, the pressure gentle, and when Changbin pulls away, his eyes are barely open.

“Come on, Binnie, let’s go sleep, yeah?” Felix coaxes the elder awake again and Changbin just sleepily nods, dragging Felix away, their hands still interlinked from the brief dance. Felix just manages to snag his phone off the side and pocket it before he’s dragged out of the kitchen.

When they get back upstairs to the room Felix shares with Chan, they both startle at the sight of Chan awake.

“Where have you two been?” Chan asks, voice thick with sleep.

“Lix was baking, and I had a nightmare. He comforted me.” Changbin responds, just as sleepily, before clambering into Felix’s bed, humming at the warmth. Felix and Chan share a look before giggling quietly. Giggles that quickly stop when Changbin speaks up again. “Lixie, Channie, come cuddle baby.” There’s a pout on his face, Felix can hear it, but he happily skips onward to cuddle with Changbin. He can hear Chan follow after him and he suppresses his smile.

Felix settles on the right side of Changbin, Chan on the left and the shorter boy hums in contentment, a soft smile on his face. Changbin gasps before turning to Chan, pressing his lips against Chan’s like he had done to Felix earlier and instead of feeling jealous like he expected to, Felix feels warmth rush through him at how in love his friends are. Chan is bright red, eyes wide and body frozen after the kiss, but Changbin doesn’t seem to notice, just happily snuggling into the pillows and allowing sleep to wash over him.

Soft high-pitched snores leave Changbin’s mouth after a few minutes and Felix coos over the sound, unintentionally attracting Chan’s attention to him.

“Did he kiss you too?” Chan whispers, timid and afraid, and Felix turns to him then, a small pout settling on his lips.

“He did, Hyunjin kissed me two days ago too… My heart can’t handle all of you.” Felix whispers, letting a small part of his truth slip out.

“Mine neither. But, but maybe we should discuss this another time? It’s late and nearly Christmas.” Chan replies and Felix nods before an idea burns up in his brain.

“Can, can I kiss you?” It’s quiet, the quietest that Felix thinks he can make himself sound, but the stuttered nod Chan gives him in response has Felix brightening up. He gently balances himself above Changbin’s sleeping form before placing a delicate kiss on Chan’s lips. Chan’s hand settles at the base of his neck, deepening the kiss slightly before they pull away. Felix’s eyes are dim and barely open, still stuck in the euphoria of the kiss, and Chan giggles at him.

“Get some sleep Lix, we’ll talk more another day.” Chan says and Felix nods, resting down against the pillows. He curls an arm over Changbin’s front, blushing lightly when he feels Chan’s fingers slip through his own. He buries down all his loving feelings and squeezes Chan’s hands as a goodnight before letting sleep slip through his brain and settle deep within him.

As Felix falls asleep, he barely registers the feeling of Chan’s hand squeezing him back.

Felix wakes up the next morning absolutely smothered in warmth. His hand is empty, Chan long gone from his bed, but Changbin is still softly snoring next to him, pressed deeply into Felix’s side, and Felix hums at the warmth. The sound of the door gently opening has Felix turning away from Changbin’s sleepy face. It’s Chan, who smiles upon seeing that Felix is awake.

“Lix, you’re awake.” Chan says and Felix hums, gently untangling himself from Changbin and sitting up, the older boy adjusting before settling back into sleep again.

“What time is it?” The words are thick in his throat, and he winces at how rough his voice sounds.

“8am. It’s time to get up. Can you wake Changbin up for me? I still need to get the others up.” Chan asks, eyes wide and Felix nods, smiling sweetly at the older. Chan retreats wordlessly, gently shutting the door behind him and Felix turns to Changbin.

“Binnie? Binnie, baby, wake up.” Felix says, gently trailing his fingers along Changbin’s cheeks, along the contours of his lips and down to his neck, gently ticking the skin there when the older boy’s face contorts, slowly waking up to Felix’s touch.

“Lix? What time is it?” Changbin grumbles, blinking in the dreary light of the bedroom.

“8am. It’s Christmas.” Felix whispers back and Changbin smiles, eyes still lightly closed as he looks up at Felix.

“Merry Christmas Lix.”

“Merry Christmas Changbin. Now come on, let’s get up, yeah?” Felix says, pressing a gentle kiss against the apple of Changbin’s right cheek before shuffling out of bed. Changbin’s arms latch around his waist as Felix sits on the edge of the bed and Felix turns back to look at the older. He has a worried look on his face and Felix feels his heart clench. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing. I’m gonna go to my room and get changed.” Changbin says, quickly detaching himself from Felix before slipping out of Felix’s bed and practically running out of the room. Chan re-enters the room not even a minute later, a look of confusion on his face.

“What’s up with Changbin?”

“I, I don’t know.” Felix stutters, lip wobbling as tears threaten to burst in his eyes. He sniffles before wiping at his eyes and standing up. “I’ll be fine. Let me just get changed and then I’ll be done.” Felix continues and Chan reluctantly agrees, shutting the door behind him once more.

Felix changes into a simple outfit before making his way downstairs, Jisung latching onto him as he goes, talking a mile a minute about his dream. Felix, unfortunately, isn’t taking in anything the slightly older boy is saying, instead his brain is still stuck on Changbin and just what was wrong with him this morning.

The two settle in the living room, Jisung’s attention quickly being stolen by Seungmin, and Chan settles next to Felix, the two whispering to each other. It’s about Changbin but both boys steadfastly avoid talking about what occurred last night. Minho coughs, breaking the pair apart.

“We’re gonna open presents now, are you two done?” Felix looks up at him, awe settling into his features as he takes in how gorgeous Minho looks, before nodding his head, red tinging his cheeks due to embarrassment.

“Good. Let’s go.”

--

Felix looks up from phone when Seungmin slumps next to him, half-asleep as he chews on one of Felix’s cookies. It’s around midday and this morning had been so hectic that most of his friends had gone for a nap, only Felix and Minho choosing to stay awake. His friends all slowly start to file in from their naps – Changbin and Jisung are sleepily clinging to each other, Jeongin is clinging to a bright and smiley Chan, and Hyunjin is watching something on his phone, slumping next to Seungmin once he sees the free seat. The puppy-like boy shifts to rest his head on Hyunjin’s shoulder, joining in on watching whatever it is the older boy has displayed on his phone. Felix looks around the room, the wide smile on his face falling when he notices Minho’s missing presence. He had gone to wake everybody up but hadn’t returned downstairs himself and Felix is worried.

Felix goes to voice his concern when Minho finally comes downstairs, a laptop that Felix recognises as his own in his grip. He puts the laptop down on the coffee table, screen loaded up on something, before turning to Felix with a glare.

“You lied.” Minho spits out and Felix sits up stare, tensing as he realises just what Minho is getting at. He tries to play it off, but he knows, even before he opens his mouth, that his words won’t be believed. He’s not a very good liar.

“What, what are you on about Minho?” Felix asks, lacing his voice with as much sweetness as he can, but Minho just scoffs, rolling his eyes.

“Don’t try and sweeten me, Felix. There were, and still are, tickets for you to get home. So why did you lie and say there weren’t any?” Minho’s words are venomous, and Felix wants to turn in on himself and hide away. He hadn’t meant for anyone to find out, but the fact that it was Minho who found out, Minho who was slow to trust and hard to hurt, was slowly making tears well up in his eyes.

“Is, is he telling the truth, Felix?” Chan asks and of course it had to be Chan. Chan, who had comforted Felix through his bald-faced lie, who had been the first to abandon his plans to go home for Felix.

“He, he is.” Felix whispers, the sound airy and weak in the space of the living room. Seven pairs of eyes burn into his skull and Felix just wants to tuck tail and run, but he can’t. He owes them all the truth.

“Felix, I, we, I, just tell us the truth.” Seungmin speaks up, stumbling over his words, and Felix cries then, burying his face into his hands and letting the tears flow down his cheeks. He knows he shouldn’t cry, he was the one to fuck up after all, but he can’t help it. It wasn’t meant to go this way, but Felix wasn’t able to read the future, and this proved as much.

“I, I lied because I really wanted to spend Christmas together, all eight of us, but you’d all made your plans to go home, and I didn’t want to seem desperate or pathetic, but I can’t help it because I’m utterly in love with all seven of you and I’m stupid enough to think I have a chance.” Felix cries out, the words loud and fast and laced full of every damn emotion burning through him at this moment. The house is practically stunned into silence, but Felix can’t find it within himself to care, crying into his hands at how stupid he’d been. He hears someone stepping closer but doesn’t care to look up, to move, to do anything.

“Felix, sunshine, look at me.” It’s Chan, and he’s using that blasted nickname that makes Felix crumble and so, with a watery sigh, he pulls his face out of his hands and looks at Chan’s, his face damp with tears, and probably a few strands of snot, before nearly crying again when he sees the soft smile Chan is giving him.

“I’m sorry Channie.” It’s whisper-quiet but everyone is listening in, Felix’s words loud in the silence of the room.

“I’m upset that you didn’t tell me the truth, but I think everyone can tell you didn’t mean for it to go this way, so let’s not focus on that right now.” Chan says, taking Felix’s hands in his and Felix whines at how easily Chan gets inside Felix’s soul, reaching deep in and making him feel all manner of things. “You’re in love with us? All seven of us?” The questions that follow aren’t what Felix was expecting, but with another sob, Felix nods, head falling forward as he sniffles. He hears Minho scoff and Felix tenses as the older boy walks over. Instead of something horrible happening, however, Minho’s hand guides Felix’s face to look up and before he can even register it, Minho’s lips are on his, a sweet gentle kiss that has cotton candy fluffing up between his ribs.

Minho pulls away, the tiniest quirk of a smile on his lips before turning to face Chan, crouching down and kissing the oldest boy too. He goes around and kisses all of them, each boy kissing him back when it’s their turn before finally he stands back in front of Felix again.

“I’ve always known I’ve loved you guys. Just didn’t really care to make it official or anything.” Minho shrugs and Chan shares a similar sentiment.

“R-really?” Felix hiccups and the two oldest boys nod, Felix feeling his heart fill up with warmth. “Can we be boyfriends? All eight of us?” He knows it’s a risky question to ask and the gasp that leaves Changbin’s lips makes him fear for the worst. Everyone turns to look at to the shortest boy when he cries though, worry immediately flooding through Felix’s form.

“You, you mean I can have and date and love all seven of you? And I won’t be, I won’t, it won’t be weird? Or wrong?” Changbin sniffles. Jisung, who is still somewhat sleepy as he sits next to Changbin, cups the older boy’s face and nods, before leaning in and kissing Changbin, a cute, sugary-sweet peck on the lips that makes the tips of Changbin’s ears turn red. When the two separate, they are starry-eyed as they stare at each other.

“Hey! I want kisses!” Hyunjin pouts as he sits on the couch, arms crossed. Seungmin perks up next to him and quickly manhandles Hyunjin into a kiss, giggling into the kiss when a noise of surprise leaves Hyunjin’s lips. The pair separate, Hyunjin wide-eyed and open mouthed, before he also bursts into giggles. Felix laughs at that, clapping his hands in excitement.

“So, all eight of us? Together?” Felix asks again and everyone quickly shares their agreements, excitement flooding through the room and wrapping Felix up like a warm hug. The group watch with a laugh when Jisung crosses the room and clambers into Hyunjin’s lap, kissing him over and over and over.

“I’ve been so jealous since I caught you and Felix kissing, but now that I know that I get to kiss you both? I’m not jealous anymore.” Jisung giggles once Hyunjin pulls back to breathe. Jisung continues to giggle as he sits on Hyunjin’s lap, but the giggles trail off when Minho stands behind him and tilts his head back, pressing a gentle kiss against Jisung’s lips that doesn’t last long due to the awkward angle but does silence Jisung’s giggles down for good. It’s everyone else who laughs instead, prompting Jisung to bury his face in Hyunjin’s chest and whine about how mean all his friends are.

It stays like that for a while, just laughing and talking about how blind they all were when Felix notices that Jeongin is irritable, squirming as he sits in the corner of the couch. He stands up, gently brushing past Chan who is still sat on the floor in front of him, before sitting on the couch next to Jeongin.

“Hi Innie. You okay?” Felix whispers, voice well masked under the noise the rest of the boys are making. Jeongin nods, a small little shift of his head, before sighing.

“I feel left out. I don’t like affection and I’m worried you guys won’t love me as much because of it.” Jeongin says, louder than Felix had spoken and the rest of the group silence at that, turning to Jeongin’s now-frozen form.

“Oh Innie, don’t think like that.” Felix says, brushing a few strands of Jeongin’s blue hair from his eyes. The younger’s eyes are wide and twinkling, and Felix can’t stop himself from stealing a quick kiss from Jeongin’s lips. “Sorry.” Felix giggles when Jeongin flushes. “But I promise you, none of us will love you less because you don’t like affection, Jeongin-ah.” Felix finishes up, eyes still locked on Jeongin’s.

“Promise?”

“I promise.” Felix nods, wide sunshine-y smile on display, and Jeongin smiles softly at him in return.

“Then will you kiss me again?” Jeongin whispers and Felix laughs before leaning in and kissing Jeongin, pressing the younger back into the couch behind him. Jisung, Felix is pretty sure it is, wolf whistles behind them and Felix pulls away with a giggle, collapsing onto Jeongin’s chest. The younger is radiating heat and Felix doesn’t even have to look at Jeongin’s face to know its bright red, the tips of his ears probably tinging red too, but he still looks up anyways, giggling at how adorably awestruck Jeongin looks.

A whine from Changbin has everyone turning to look at him where he lays alone on the couch, pressed against the pillows with a pout on his face.

“I want kisses too now.” Changbin whines and Seungmin perks up, quickly crossing the space between the two couches, before clambering onto Changbin’s lap. Changbin flushes again, pulling laughs out of the rest of their group, before he pulls Seungmin down, kissing him briefly before disconnecting. “Now we cuddle.” Changbin giggles and Seungmin giggles with him, shuffling down to nuzzle into Changbin’s chest. The rest of their friends are cuddled up too, Jisung still pressed into Hyunjin’s chest, and Minho and Chan are lightly resting on each other so Felix rests against Jeongin again, the younger’s arm tightening around his waist. Sleepiness from all his crying fogs up his mind and Felix lets it wash over him, content and safe in Jeongin’s arms. As he falls asleep, he utters one single sentence that sends his friends into a wild frenzy behind him.

“I love you guys…”
