   Summary

   Decades ago, a Turian patrol fired on an unknown, heavily armed reconnaissance force attempting to activate relay 314, sparking a war with a new, militant alien society armed with an almost entirely alien technological paradigm.

   Though peace was brokered by the council, the Alliance's refusal to join the Council, their belligerent response to external aggression and their embrace of Sapient AI has kept tensions between them simmering.

   When a rogue Spectre with an army of hostile AI turns a joint operation into the spark of a new war, keeping the peace will fall to an Alliance Commander and a Spectre. And keeping the peace may well prove to be harder than unraveling the mystery of the rogue Spectre, and his connection to the doom of the Protheans.
