"Kate Bishop," Yelena had said last week, "we are going to spend New Year's Eve together."
True to her word, Yelena had showed up at Kate's apartment with a bottle of vodka and a bottle of champagne. She'd sat down on the couch like she lived here and Kate wished she did. She wished Yelena would show up here every night.
"This is good, isn't it, Kate Bishop?" Yelena said. She took a shot of vodka.
"It is," Kate smiled.
"I think we should kiss."
Kate couldn't say no to that. Kissing Yelena was a great start of the year.
