There is nothing Shu hates more than freaking Omega Heat, the grim reminder of what he is. Actually no, there is something he hates even more. Unpredictable Omega Heat. Shu has been careful to plan everything, getting his meds when it's about time, having emergency meds in case something happens, but of course the day he forgot to bring his meds is the day his heat decides to appear and mocking him.
Currently he is in gym, locking himself up and hoping nobody is in needs to go to gym today. He texted his sister who is on another school but not too far, but God knows when she is going to read his SOS text.
I guess I'm stuck here for now, hopefully I can get back home before it's too dark.
Shu felts his body shivering. He has fever and his head hurts a bit, but he can handle it. He lays on a green mattress, tried to find something to cover himself so he won't shivering much but finds nothing, so he's stuck with his phone.
He can't asked help from his friends, he never told them that he's actually Omega. His only alternatives are his families, but his parents won't be back until 7 and his sisters is the only person he can ask.
‘Wait, did she said she has club activities today or not?’
Shu can't remember, decides to not remember as it will only depletes his hope. He had better start thinking about excuses he will give in case someone ask why he disappear suddenly. Thankfully, school's over now so maybe not a lot of people will notice his disappearance after excusing himself. He was about to go to infirmary to asked for some meds, but of course his luck run out today and the Health Teacher is in meeting so the room is locked.
Definitely worst day being Shu Yamino today.
Then he hears someone talking from outside and it only gets louder and louder. He also can hears some footsteps outside the door now.
"Huh? It's locked."
"I thought we did not locked it before. Unless some teacher found out we're too lazy to lock it and decides to lock it for us"
"So where is the key?"
"I gave it to Luca. Oi Luca, where's the key?"
"It should be... on my desk in classroom."
"So... who's the brave and strong one to grab the key in our classroom which definitely not in 5th floor."
"Hey, it's not that bad. Isn't the lock can be opened from inside? Maybe I can go inside from windows and unlock it for us!"
"With that booba? Well it's not every day we can see Luca Kaneshiro getting stuck in window so feel free"
"Hey! I don't have booba!"
Laughter erupts outside the gym, but Shu can't relate to the fun conversation because he's about to get caught he's actually Omega. He tried hiding in the corner of the room, but he can't hide his pheromone. He heard something outside, and a clear voice comes from window.
"Huh? Wait this..."
"How is it Luca?"
"Yeah, nah. I definitely will get stuck." Shu can hear a little Told you! behind, which sounds a lot like Ike, his friends. Shu is getting more restless.
"What's now? Rock paper scissor?"
"Actually guys, you can leave it to me. It's my fault for forgetting to bring the keys at the first place. You guys bring the equipment here already helps me a lot"
"But what about the movies Luca? We finally got discount for the movies!"
"Yeah my little brother already used it actually, so I'm fine. Come on, guys. You don't wanna missed out the movie. Just leave this to me, okay?"
Shu waited for probably the longest silence he ever felt.
"Don't forget our hangout tomorrow!"
"Okay okay!"
Another long silence.
"So anyone's here? Do you need some meds? I can try ask Mr. Ovid for it"
Now this is Shu's biggest decision in life. He knows a bit about Luca Kaneshiro, a super popular guy, everyone likes him, helps others a lot and even help Shu once before, when they need to bring materials to class. But does Shu trust him? Or does Luca even remembers him? Shu tries to calculate the probability of Luca remembers him, Luca keeping his secret, and how long his sister will notice his text, but person on the other side did not wait longer.
"Actually I'll try ask it anyway. Don't worry, I won't be long"
And not too long, the sound of stepping down ladder and footsteps can't be heard at all. Shu sighes in relief, not sure if it's because he hasn't been discovered or he got help or... maybe something good finally happens today. But his head hurts a lot more so he slowly getting back to the matress and wait. Then he finally noticed the most important thing.
'Is Luca a Beta?'
For Omega, Shu actually emits less pheromone than averages. But he is in this room long enough that everything smells like him now. Luca didn't show any response to his pheromone, even though he seems to notice it. Seems like he finally have his luck today. Suddenly his phone vibrates.
I've called Mom, she said she will pick you up in 30 minutes
Wait, what about her works?
It's her office founding day, she said she can left early. I asked her if they have some KFC to pack them up for me, or any soda for you.
Eyyy more soda to inject into my blood :D
Only if they have it

A knock startles Shu a bit. "I've got the meds. Mr. Ovid asked what brand but I don't know so I picked all kinds from his stocks"
Anyway good luck surviving for 30 minutes
"Do you want me to pass you from window? I got water bottle too"
"Ah, I can unlock the door" Shu said. He slowly stand up, still feels his head hurts. Everything seems spinning but he managed to walk to the door to unlock it.
"You... want me to pass you directly?"
"? If it's not too much. I've unlocked it now"
Shu opens the door, and finally see Luca who he always see in class, except he seems more startled and flushed than usual.
"Ah, here's the water and meds"
"Thank you. You saves me a lot"
Luca smiles back, to his usual silly smile.
"No problem, I hope you're getting better!"
Shu only smiles back as he replied. He noticed one brand he usually had and taking it with gulp of water. The only good thing from being Omega is you're getting used to swallow meds.
"By the way, can I intrude you a bit? I need to return these equipment" Luca said as he points to a big mattress and some metal bars "oh but you can lay back if you want! Don't worry about me!"
"But it's seems a lot..."
"Don't worry! I'm strong! I'm used to do it!"
"Okay... sorry I can't help you"
Shu goes back to mattress and lay back, watching Luca as he started to bring in the equipment. It's good that Luca didn't try to make conversation and let Shu rest, but Shu feels bad he can't helped him at all. Shu notices Luca's heavy breathing, those equipment must be very heavy.
"And... Done! POG!"
Luca swipes his sweat on neck with his shirt collar, and accidentally shows a bit of abs as he pulled. Shu swears he's not checking those abs out. It's just in his line of sight. He felt his cheeks getting hotter, which worsened his headache.
"Do you feel better Shu? Is anyone coming to pick you up?" Luca turns to Shu and asks.
"Yeah, my mom will come pick me up in 30 minutes... which means" Shu checks his phone. "About now I guess". Suddenly his phone vibrates "Well speak of the dev- I mean angel".
Luca chuckles a bit, Shu felts his heart flutters. Must be because of fever.
I'm in parking lot now
As Shu struggles to get up from mattress, Luca had his back to Shu and squats down.
"What...? What are you doing?"
"Your mom is here right? You're not reaching anywhere when you swaying around!"
"No no no. I can't bother you more than this."
"Nope you're not fooling anyone Shu! You can treat me to lunch or something if that makes you better, but I'll carry you!"
Shu wants to reject, but maybe because of his heat and fever, he is more agreeable. Shu just wants to be in his soft bed and sleep through it.
"...I'll pay you to best lunch later. My mom is on parking lot. But I'm telling you, I'm not light"
Shu places his arms around Luca's shoulder and leans to him, but when Luca grabs his thigh and carries him, Shu feels his heart beating really fast.
‘Oh God, he can feel my heartbeats. I swear it's the fever’
But something distract him from his embarrassment and heartbeat. Luca smells really good. Like really, really good. Shu never thought sweats has this good smell. Luca's nape also looks really good. He wants to bite that nape.
"Shu...? Can you not sniff me...? I'm sweaty and doesn't smell good"
"...You actually smells really good Luca..."
After a few seconds, Shu finally realized what he just said.
"No! I mean, you really did smell okay..."
'Oh God, someone please bury me'
Luca is getting more flustered, even his back of nape starts to turn red. Cute. Shu really want to bite that nape.
"Come on Shu! Stop teasing me! I almost drop you!"
Shu rests his head to Luca's shoulder and chuckles. Shu never notice Luca is actually very easy flustered, very cute. Even though he wants to stay forever in Luca's back, they arrives parking lot and saw Shu's Mom waving at them. The kind lady opened the back seat door for Luca and Shu. Luca greets and they talked a bit, but Shu can't hear what they're talking about. His headache comes back after Luca's smells disappear.
A roaring engine sound awakes Shu and he's happy going back home. His mom asked something in the car but he didn't remember. He doesn't even remember if he walks to his own bed or someone carries him. All in his mind is Luca's nape, but when he tries to remember it. He notices something even more important.
Did he ever say his name?
