EP 5
After Jiu Jitsu practice ended, Ayan started to rummage through his locker to find his notebook. The notebook left behind by his Uncle Dika, a symbol that reminded him of what he was fighting for, an object that just reminded him of his Uncle. Ayan after a couple of seconds quickly came to realize that his notebook was gone, that it was missing, that it was taken. Ayan’s anger sprung up. He slammed the locker shut and started to wildly look around for who he presumed was the culprit- Akk.
Wat, Kan, Thua and Namo all turned their attention towards Ayan as they heard the loud crash. Akk entered the locker room unaware right towards Ayan. Ayan, finally seeing his target, immediately took him by the collar of his robe shouting, “You jerk. You took my notebook, didn’t you?”
Akk looked him up and down in disbelief, immediately taking Ayan’s hands off him, saying “What the hell? I didn’t.”
Ayan automatically took a step towards Akk accosting, “If it’s not you, then who?”
“I don’t know. But I didn’t take it."
“If you don’t give it back to me, I’m telling everyone what this stupid school did,” Ayan threatened, staring right into Akk’s eyes.
Akk felt like those eyes were staring into his soul. So full of fury, so vindictive. He felt wronged and he felt frankly scared. “Stop spouting nonsense,” he warned, his voice close to wavering.
“All of you. Do you want to know what the curse of this stupid school actually is?” Ayan asked the students in the locker room, looking over at all of them.
A million alarm bells started ringing inside of Akk’s mind, afraid to be exposed by Ayan, he quickly threw a punch trying to keep the boy’s mouth closed. “I told you to shut up!” The other students looked incredulously as the situation quickly escalated.
Ayan’s head hit the locker with the impact of the hit. He turned back in a second, throwing a punch right back to Akk’s face. He grabbed his collar once again, shaking Akk, demanding “Give it back to me jerk!”
“I didn’t take it!” Akk continued to defend himself.
“You did Akk,” Ayan insisted.
“Stop it. Stop it both of you,” Wat and Kan said, finally stepping up to break the boys apart. The boys struggled in their arms trying to get back to fight one another. The PE teacher also checked out the commotion and that was the end of the fight.

‘That was also the end of our relationship’, Akk pondered to himself. He hasn’t talked to Ayan and Ayan hasn’t talked to him since.
He thought that after Ayan cooled down and listened to him, that their relationship dynamic would return to the one that he was used to. But it didn’t. Ayan didn’t even look at him anymore, let alone perform any of his previous flirty antics.
Akk felt a pang in his chest. It hurt. The same type of hurt he felt when he initially tried to approach Ayan at the gym where he was laying on the bleachers, only to find that Thua already beat him to it. He stood there the whole time like an idiot, watching the way that Ayan conversed with Thua, the comfortability between the two. He didn’t dare take a step forward. All this while it was Ayan getting closer to him, not the other way around. He didn’t even know how to try to clear things up now.

School continued as it did. Ayan sat next to him as usual but all of Akk’s attempts at capturing his attention failed. He felt tired and rested the side of his head on his arm as he stared back up at Ayan. He just wanted to talk, that’s all he wanted.
The one time he did manage to get a response from Ayan, all Ayan said was "if you're going to tell me where my notebook is, do so. Otherwise there's nothing else to talk about."
It went on for days like that, Ayan was surprisingly much more slippery when he didn't want to be found by Akk. Either taking different turns, that he was still in awe that Ayan was aware of considering he just joined the school, or sending someone in Akk's direction to distract him.
By the end of the week, Akk had enough. Even after this short period of time, he wasn't ready to let go of Ayan just yet. Not ready to let go of Ayan's attention of him and not ready to let go of the boy he couldn't get his mind off of.
After school, Akk chased after Ayan like he usually did when he was suspicious of him, but now he did it to catch the boy. Ayan was close to opening his car door before Akk stopped him and entrapped him between the car and himself.
Ayan looked up at him in surprise. One part because he didn’t expect Akk to be this bold and one part because looking at his face he realized tears have welled up in Akk’s eyes. Akk, on the verge of crying, pleaded to Ayan, “Please. Can you just please let me explain?”
Ayan’s cold shoulder melted at the plea. He knew he'd give in easily which was one part of the avoidance, and the other part because he felt somewhat embarrassed at himself so he kept feigning the anger. “Okay. Explain.” Akk breathed a shaky sigh of relief, he quickly blinked away the tears. His body loosening, coming even closer to Ayan, practically breathing on his neck. Akk steadied his gaze at Ayan and explained seriously, “I didn’t take your notebook. I know I want it. But it wasn’t me this time.”
Ayan remembered how the boy was by his side the whole time during the judo class. “Okay,” his eyes were searching Akk’s. "I’ll believe you this time.” Akk let himself go fully, fully embracing Ayan into his arms muttering his thanks to him. Akk closed his eyes in relief, happy that Ayan wasn't upset with him anymore.
Ayan was once again surprised by Akk's sudden embrace. Something warm touched Ayan’s heart. He slowly raised his arm to cradle the back of Akk’s head, slightly kissing the top of his temple. “I’m sorry. I was just mad so I wasn’t really thinking. I know it wasn’t you. You were with me the whole time.”
Akk’s eyes popped open when he felt that peck on his temple and stared at Ayan’s lips. He gulped, his eyes searching for an answer as he looked into Ayan’s eyes and then back to his mouth. Ayan noticed his frantic eyes and a huge smile appeared on his face.
"You remembered the 'punch me once, I kiss you once', deal hmm?" Ayan questioned with amusement lacing his voice. Ayan puckered up his lips, making that kissy face, getting closer and closer to Akk. Akk absent mindedly followed the movement and nodded his head.
Ayan couldn't take that cute, dazed look on Akk's face anymore. Ayan tilted Akk’s chin and slowly tilted his own head too to meet his mouth. Soft and sweet, everything that Akk has been craving for. Akk's instincts brought their bodies even closer if it was possible and surrounded Ayan’s waist with his hands. Ayan kept one of his hands on Akk's jaw while the other hooked itself behind Akk's neck.
They lost themselves for a while, like they drifted off to a dream world where it was only the two them. Ayan was savoring the moment, it felt like Akk was being the most truthful that he has been, just letting himself give into Ayan's advances.
Meanwhile Akk's cheeks burned red when after a couple of minutes of kissing he caught himself back to reality. He started to panic to himself thinking that, outside of a car, near the school was possibly the worst place to do this but he was so caught up on trying to get his Ayan back that his brain stopped functioning for a moment.
After he backed away from the kiss, Ayan could also sense Akk's concerns. He immediately grasped at Akk's hands, bringing them to his mouth and kissing them.
"There's no one here. I parked at such a desolate place since I was trying to shake you off my trail again."
Akk was first relieved but then pouted at Ayan saying that his main objective was to lose him. He really didn't like that.
Ayan chuckled when he saw that wronged face that Akk was making. "Hmmm," Ayan tapped on his chin with thought. "I seem to have recalled that more than one punch was thrown, guess we have to kiss more than once." He leaned forward to capture Akk's lips again, focusing on smooching that upper lip of his.
Akk was immediately placated by the time Ayan pulled away. He had a silly smile on his face. He felt like the knot that was tied in his stomach before has smoothed itself out, after all these loving gestures from Ayan.
As much as Ayan wanted to continue kissing, outside at a parking zone near the school wasn’t the best place to continue and he communicated this to Akk after he started to complain about the kissing stopping.
Ayan led Akk into his seat and buckled his seatbelt for him. They smiled at each other. At last.
