Big

Summary:

This fic is set in "the scene" of episode 11. It contains possible spoilers, so proceed with caution.
This is a translation of an existing fic.

Notes:

This is the translation of "Grande", by E_chan, the first Sulemio fanfic in Spanish published in AO3. The only changes I have made in the text consist of punctuation marks.

Big.

Suletta Mercury was big.

That was the only way Miorine Rembran had to describe her huge, idiotic fiancée.

Her smile was big when she put her panic and nerves aside for two minutes and smiled out of excitement or joy, when her feelings overflowed in that ridiculous and loud way, baring her innocent and pure personality full of energy. Her eyes were big and expressive, bright and of a color she had never seen live but was dying to: the color of the sea. A color she had only seen in pictures from Earth. She wanted to see a sea like that and confirm that her fiancée had the same color in that pair of huge eyes.

Her body was big. Miorine experienced mixed feelings when it was she, with her one and a half meter height, who had to cover that huge coward named Suletta Mercury and her one meter and seventy of silliness and ridiculousness made person.

Suletta was big overall, but what struck Miorine most was the way her hands, huge as they were, moved depending on the moment. When she piloted Aerial, with a determination and confidence diametrically opposed to her self-assurance in general. When she helped her in the greenhouse and surprisingly those huge hands moved delicately, as if she feared crushing the tomatoes between her strong palms. When she moved them in her nervous fits and her fingers played with each other as she stuttered and babbled unintelligible things, weaving nonsense with an invisible thread. She often found it hard to understand Suletta's thought process, because of her simplicity and that bad habit of overthinking things.

Suletta Mercury was big and stupid, but if there was one thing Miorine Rembran could be sure of, it was that Suletta was her big, stupid fiancée. Hers and no one else's, hers to care for, hers to open her own world to, hers to do whatever it took to keep her huge smile from being lost. She hated loving her so much, and she also hated it when that fool jumped to conclusions like a champ and missed the point.

Or maybe if she herself were a little more direct and understanding, knowing how dumb Suletta was....

No!

What more did that stupid Mercurian need to understand things?! That she wrote it down for her?!

She had to make it clear to her after the most ridiculous chase in the history of space. How was it possible for that big fool and her one seventy height to run off in panic as if a monster was chasing her? Where did she get that devilish stamina and endurance? Luckily, Miorine was smarter and knew of Suletta's silliness. Cunning over strength, that was the only way to catch her.

Miorine clenched her own hands into fists, small and weak, as she listened to Suletta talk all her nonsense. And with those same fists she let her know everything Suletta meant to her. She had to make it clear to her. Apparently she would have to remind her three times a day how much she meant in his life. Fine, she'd do it, but she wouldn't let her have it for free.

Clean her room, put some compost on the tomatoes, change the lighting in the greenhouse, send her messages three times a day, never leave her side, not to miss any duel. A reasonable price in her eyes.

Just then, in that lonely hangar of the space station, she found that Suletta's body heat was also big. A warmth that brought tears to her eyes. A human warmth she had almost forgotten, that forced her to cling to that big body, as if she wanted to hold on to that warmth to never let it escape her, to stay on her skin along with the comfortable scent that assaulted her nose.

And then she felt them.

Those big, warm, strong and surprisingly delicate hands holding her back. They were so big! Her palms spanned half her back easily. Suletta was so big and she herself so small. The image of the Mercurian hidden behind her back certainly must have been quite a show for those who saw them. Suletta held her tightly. It was the first time she had ever experienced such a feeling, to know that something so big, silly and wonderful wanted her close and wanted to be a part of her life for the simple reason of being herself and not a trophy.

Her fiancée.

Her huge, goofy, adorable fiancée: Suletta Mercury.

"C-can we stay like this a little longer?" Suletta asked without letting go, tightening the embrace around her Bride's small body a little more.

"We can," Miorine replied as she buried her face in her fiancée's chest. She guilelessly admitted to wiping her tears with Suletta's jacket. It smelled good. The warmth embraced her completely in more than one way. Surely, that was a warmth she would dare to ask for more times. Ask? What the hell! Suletta was hers. She could claim that warmth and those arms, those hands whenever she wanted. After all, she had asked her to stay by her side forever, hadn't she? She would have plenty of chances to keep that warmth.

Sleeping in each other's arms sounded like a good idea, but first they had to finish calming down and get out of there. They had a lot of work to do.

"Miorine-san..."

"Hmm?"

"There's something that... That I want to do... I... You know... My list," Suletta babbled as she pressed Miorine's body closer to her own.

" True, your list," Miorine smiled. Would she ask her out on a date? She was willing to fulfill that whim for her fiancée. After all, her date with that idiot Elan never happened. Besides, Suletta was hers. She had a right to claim her dates, starting with the first one of all, didn't she?

In the end, it wasn't a date, but it turned out to be something else just as significant. She willingly received the most hideous keychain she had ever seen in her life. She didn't even want to find a shape for the doll's face, but it was what Suletta wanted, to have matching keychains. One less pending thing on her list. Yes, she could fulfill that whim for her Fiancée. She would fulfill as many as she wanted. After all, they had time and there'll be more opportunities.

Right?

Notes:

Usually, I wait until a series is over to see if I get the urge to write something, but Suletta and Miorine have a lot of power, so I wrote this x3
Please, girls, survive Gundam ;_;
