Clark's chest tightens. He knows Bruce is capable but he is human and humans are fragile and Bruce, Bruce is currently in a burning building that is about to collapse. Clark can't stand it. He can't.
He goes inside. Luckily he can hear anything. Luckily he can hear Bruce. He finds him and pulls him out, picks him up in his arms and carries him outside.
Moments later the fire consumes the rest of the building.
Clark kisses Bruce. To the world Superman kisses Batman. Clark doesn't care. He almost lost Bruce. He can handle anything except losing his boyfriend.
