There was a familiar tug on his left ring finger. Bucky looked down at his metal arm, seeing the red string. A smile bloomed on his face.
After all these years, Bucky was glad that there was something familiar. The red string had always been with him, from before the war and even through his time with Hydra. To Bucky, it was a symbol of hope, even if he wasn’t sure he would ever actually meet his soulmate.
Another tug from the string.
This time, Bucky looked further than his arm, the string leading his eyes up to familiar ones.
