------------✧♡✧-------------

Sehun had truly influenced him heavily, to say the very least. Junmyeon started being outgoing again, and he even started making new friends. One of them was Minseok, and he was quite the character. He is a very happy-go-lucky person and yet mature at the same time. There was something about him that made Junmyeon trust him. To be fair, he was Sehun’s friend before he was Junmyeon’s, but small details like that didn’t matter a lot.

They were doing their project at the café where Junmyeon works when Minseok suddenly brought up a topic out of nowhere.

“Hey, Junmyeon. Are you free this weekend?”

“Hmmmm, I think so. Why? You want to continue this project over the weekend?”

Minseok laughs at him.

“Why are you such a nerd? Who wants to do schoolwork on the weekend? Well, certainly not me.”

“Okay, fine. So, what is it about the weekend?”

“I have this friend….”

Junmyeon continued typing into his laptop.

“And?”

“Would you do me just one favor?”

“It depends on the favor.”

“Well…”

“Just say it,” Junmyeon replies and looks straight at the man in front of him, the one who had become a friend before he knew it.

“Would you mind going on a blind date with my friend this weekend?”

“What?!” Junmyeon says, voice half shouting.

“Don’t scream. I was just asking you if it’s possible.”

“I don’t know, Min. I’m planning to do some university stuff over the weekend.”

“I’ll help you! Just go on that date, my friend has been bugging me to introduce him to someone, and I thought he might be your type.”

“My type? Do I have one?”

“I thought you liked the romantic and funny type, didn’t you?”

“Well, not really. Actually, I have no idea. Will you really do my assignments for me this weekend?”

“Yes. I promise. So, will you go?”

Junmyeon hesitates a bit but decides to try it out.

“Okay, sure. As long as you finish my tasks for me, I don’t see why not.”

“Great! I’ll let my friend know. I’ll text you the location tomorrow. Be sure to come, okay?”

“I’ll send you the tasks over email. Be sure to finish them or else---” Junmyeon says, glaring slightly at Minseok.

“Okay, okay. I already promised.”

------------✧♡✧-------------

Junmyeon looks at himself in the mirror and realizes that his hair has grown too long.

Too late to cut it now, I guess.

He puts on a black shirt, grabs a leather jacket, and puts on a pair of glasses. He looks again in the mirror one last time.

I think I look decent. I don’t look like I tried too hard now, do I?

He goes out of the room and heads to the café that Minseok texted him the night before.

I hope the guy I’m set up with is nice.

------------✧♡✧-------------

When he gets there, he looks around and thinks that there are way too many people. He calls Minseok so that he can ask him how to look for this friend that he is talking about.

“Junmyeon? Are you there already?”

“Yeah. I just got here. Is your friend here yet?”

“You’ll find him wearing a white long-sleeved shirt.”

“Wow, that’s a really broad description. There are too many people wearing white here.” Junmyeon says after scanning the tables.

“You’ll know it’s him when you see him. Enjoy your date!”

“Hey, wait ---” Minseok has already put the call down.

Junmyeon walks around a little to the first person that has the description that Minseok mentioned.

“Excuse me, do you know Minseok?” he asks shyly.

“Sorry, I don’t know who you’re talking about.” the person replied.

Just when he was about to go to the next person wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, he saw someone familiar waving at him. He heads straight to the person to ask him what he is doing here.

“Sehun? Are you with someone? Why are you here?”

“You’re asking too many questions, Junmyeon. Sit down for a bit. You look tired.”

Junmyeon does as he was told and sits in front of Sehun.

“So, why are you here?”

“Well….”

Junmyeon notices that Sehun is also wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, although he has already rolled the sleeves up to his elbows.

“I was waiting for you,” Sehun says while looking straight at Junmyeon.

“Me? Why?” Junmyeon asks, utterly confused.

“Surprise, I’m your blind date!” Sehun says as he moves his hands in the air and makes a surprise gesture.

“But Minseok said---”

“Whatever he said, I’m the one who’s here now, yeah? What do you want? I’ll order for you.”

“Matcha latte.”

Sehun stands up and goes to the counter to order. Junmyeon took this time to reflect on what had just happened. Did Minseok really send Sehun to meet him on this blind date? It feels like Junmyeon is missing something.

“Here you go.”

“How much is it? I’ll pay for it.”

“No need. You just drink it and enjoy. I have the day all planned out.”

------------✧♡✧-------------

When Sehun said he had the day planned out, he really meant it. After they finished their drinks at the café, they headed to a bookstore and looked at some books. Sehun bought some that he needed for his classes, while Junmyeon just browsed a little and found some novels that he thought would be a good read.

After that, they went to watch a movie that Sehun had apparently already bought tickets for. Surprisingly, they were the only two in the theater. It was as if the entire place had been rented out. They watched a rom-com film that Junmyeon had a lot of fun watching. They even shared a bucket of popcorn and some drinks.

Once they were done with the film, they headed straight to the arcade and went over all the different games in there. If Junmyeon was asked what his favorite was, he would say it was the basketball game. He wasn’t sporty, but he did enjoy a little bit of exercise every now and then.

Before he knew it, the entire day had gone by, and it was already evening when they got out of the arcade.

“Let’s go,” Sehun says, grabbing Junmyeon’s hand to pull him.

Junmyeon stares at their hands, connected to each other as Sehun holds his.

It doesn’t feel so bad at all.

They arrived at a family restaurant, the one that they had always gone to, Junmyeon’s favorite one.

“Why are we here?” Junmyeon asks when they are seated.

“You don’t remember? This is where we first had a meal together. I thought it would be fitting for a first date.”

Junmyeon blushes a little, touched by the fact that Sehun had remembered.

------------✧♡✧-------------

They were in the middle of the meal when Sehun spoke.

“Junmyeon, would you be interested in dating me?”

Junmyeon smiles, the day has been fun if he was being honest, and he has always been comfortable in Sehun’s presence. But would it be good to risk their friendship for this?

I don’t want to hurt you.

“Sehun, I--”

“I don’t mean right now! But, like, when you’re ready to date again. Will you think about it?”

What if you get hurt if I say yes?

Junmyeon did not reply and just continued eating.

By the time they finished, he was feeling rather tired.

“Let’s go. I’ll drive you home. Let me just get the car. I’ll meet you in front.” Sehun said and headed out before Junmyeon.

Was it okay to just leave him hanging? Shouldn’t I give him an answer? I know he said to think about it, but…I already know the answer.

Junmyeon saw Sehun’s car and went near it. Sehun gets out of the driver’s seat to open the door for him, making sure Junmyeon’s head would not bump into the roof of the car. He then proceeded to get in the car and started the engine.

“Seat belt? Let me help you.”

Sehun helped Junmyeon, who was fumbling to put on his seat belt.

Minseok was right. I do have a type.

The car ride home was quiet, Junmyeon was lost in his own thoughts, and Sehun was feeling quite nervous. Before they knew it, they had already arrived in front of Junmyeon’s apartment.

Sehun quickly goes to the passenger side to open the door for Junmyeon. Junmyeon gets out of the car.

“Do you want to go in for a cup of coffee?”

I want to tell you, but I’m scared it will change everything between us.

“No, it’s okay. I don’t want to impose on you.”

I don’t want to ruin what we have.

“Okay, I had fun today, Sehun.”

I want you to stay.

“Yeah, me too. We should do it again sometime. I mean, it doesn’t have to be a date. We can just hang out.”

Ah, whatever.

“Me too. I want to do it again too.” Junmyeon says, surprised at himself for finding the courage to speak those words.

Sehun seemed taken aback by what he had just heard.

“What? Junmyeon, can you repeat what you said?”

Junmyeon started walking towards his door.

“Wait!” Sehun grabs Junmyeon’s wrist.

“I don’t think I heard you right. Did you say you want to go on a date with me again? Like, a date? Not just, you know, hang out?”

He’s too cute.

Junmyeon puts the key on his door and unlocks it before putting his hand over Sehun’s shoulder. He stands on his toes, lands a kiss on Sehun’s cheeks, and smiles.

“Good night, Sehun,” Junmyeon says before going inside his room and leaving a dumbfounded Sehun outside.

------------✧♡✧-------------

Junmyeon sips coffee from the cup in front of him.

“You look like you’re in a good mood, Junmyeon. Did you have fun on the blind date?”

“It’s a secret. But hey, Min? Can I ask you something?”

“Sure. What is it?”

“Who was the friend you set me up with on that blind date again? I forgot his name.” Junmyeon says, acting coy.

“Yixing, his name was Yixing. Why? I can’t believe you forgot his name!”

Junmyeon smiles again.

I guess I’ll have to confront ‘Yixing’ later.

------------✧♡✧-------------

Sehun sneezed hard while he was in class.

“Excuse me. I’m so sorry.” Sehun mutters.

“Dude, are you okay?” his seatmate asks him.

“I think someone is talking about me,” Sehun replies, feeling a chill running through his body.
