When Nick enters the ward, holding the hospital file of the future patient in his hands, he does not expect to see him again. Nick rolls his eyes and sighs heavily — this cheeky big-eared Finnik has already got him in full, but subordination and medical ethics do not allow him to scold the younger and somehow show disrespect to the patient.

"What happened this time, mister?" Wilde grins slightly when he approaches the patient, and the ash-haired one leads his ear with interest, throwing a sly glance at the doctor. "Are you simulating again to cover your videos?"

Oh, yes, this all has a preface, a story that does not pull on dramatic events, but is very important for general understanding. Finik is a popular blogger, a millionaire, and in order to be successful with the public, he does a lot. For example, it is he who launches a series of fake stories, they say, a car is knocked down, an apartment is robbed, then to cram his course or another information product. When he first gets to Nick, he is seriously worried and wants to help the poor blogger. Nicholas doesn't even pay attention to the fact that they are being filmed on the phone. You never know, the mussel is still a personality - they have their own cockroaches in their heads, after all. But when everything becomes clear, Nick drives away the malingerer and urges him not to appear in the hospital anymore.

But Finik doesn't listen to him and comes to the hospital twice more.

      This time is the third.

"Do you think, Doc, that I came again just like that? There are no cameras", he giggles nastily, but then begins to cough violently, which causes a little doubt that this is another production.

"Have you been coughing for a long time?"

"Three days already. Dry cough, sputum does not go away", the fox complains, pointedly blowing his lower lip.

The hybrid really looks painful, even its gray tail, which usually wags from side to side with interest, lies quietly next to its legs, and Nick comes even closer to offer to measure the patient's temperature.

"We'll do an X—ray and see if there is inflammation or not. But now I have to listen to yours, Finnick, to make sure you have wheezes".

The younger one nods his head and lets the red-haired one sit on his bed. Nicholas looks tired: his usual red ears do not stand up straight, greeting any patient, his eyes are slightly red, as if he had not slept all night or stuck a lot into the smartphone screen. Most likely, Doc is on night duty, and this early morning he had to stay late just because of Finnick.

"I'll ask you to buy you a coffee, Doc", gray fox says, but Nick shushes with displeasure.

He's already lifting the guy's T-shirt to check his breathing with a stethoscope. And unnecessary movements or noises are extremely unnecessary for him.

"Be quiet for now, then that's it", still switching to "you", Wilde is focused on hearing (ideally, of course not) the patient's wheezing.

Finnick's breathing is a little choked and sharp, but the whistle or something extraneous is not listened to. The doctor also listens to the back, wanting to pay attention to each compartment of the lungs. And when the gray fox coughs again, the stethoscope puts it down and looks closely at the patient.

"There are no wheezes, but there is definitely something in the pleura. Now you will be taken to an X-ray, then back to me. I will already form a treatment plan for you there. I won't let you go home, you'll be lying in the ward", Nick somehow smiles insidiously, literally spreads into a satisfied smile, and his red ears regain their erect shape. The redhead is clearly up to something, but Finnick just likes it.

"So I can be closer to you, Doc?"

      Wilde doesn't answer him.

"Do you remember how you painstakingly treated me in your department for two weeks?" lying impressively on the bed with his stomach, Finnick scrolls through the news feed in his smartphone while dangling his bent legs in the air, playing with his tail.

Nick is lying next to him, sweetly stroking Junior's gray-ash ears.

"How much protest did you have, and how much falsehood before, uh, this!" he stretches the first vowel on purpose — teasing, because he knows that Finnick will fall for this trick.

"I apologized, actually!" a moment, and Fin is astride Nick, laughing and grinning too devilishly. He looks slyly — as only he can, of course — and sharply tilts his body forward, meeting nose to nose with the elder.

"Will you treat me today, eh, Doc? I'm afraid I need artificial respiration", the younger one says languidly. So that Wilde blows his mind.

      "Oh, baby, you're pushing yourself".

      "Yes, indeed".
