Waverly walked through the woods in her wolf form. She's been dating Nicole for over a month now and she thought it was finally time to tell her about the whole wolf thing. The only thing was Waverly didn't know how to tell Nicole.
Waverly didn't know how to tell Nicole that her family was werewolf royalty, didn't know how to show Nicole that werewolves were not what the humans made them out to be. Didn't know how to tell Nicole that her sister Wynonna was next in line to the throne as the last living Earp Alpha. The throne would never be Waverly's as she is an omega.
Waverly didn't much care for the alphas, every single Alpha she's met minus her sister were rude and arrogant and they smelled terrible. To Waverly everyone human and werewolf smelled bad but Wynonna smelled like gas, leather, and whiskey. Nicole on the other hand smelled like vanilla dipped donuts, Waverly's favorite.
Waverly was brought out of her thoughts when the homestead came into view and Waverly sucked in a breath when she saw the vehicle in front. The police cruiser, which meant Nicole was at the house waiting for her.
She went into the barn and quickly shifted back and got dressed, that's another thing humans got wrong. She walked into the house and found a welcoming site. Wynonna and Nicole were laughing at the table.
"Hey baby girl, how was your run?" Wynonna asked when she noticed Waverly standing in the doorway. Fear took over Waverly as she stared wide eyed at Wynonna.
"Remember you said you wanted to clear your head so you went for a run" Wynonna explained. Waverly let out the breath she was holding as understanding crossed her face. That's what Wynonna told Nicole she was doing.
"It was very refreshing. Hey baby, what are you doing here?" Waverly asked as she moved towards Nicole.
"I just came by to see how you were doing and to ask if you wanted to spend the night with me at my house. You know movie and cuddles"
"I would love to spend my night with you but I have to tell you something before we do the whole movie and cuddle," Waverly said and Nicole just nodded.
The three of them sat around the table and talked about anything and everything. A few hours passed and soon it was time for Waverly and Nicole to leave for their home bound date.
The two said goodbye to Wynonna and got into Nicole's cruiser, heading for Nicole's place. When they arrived Nicole told Waverly not to open her door.
"Madam," Nicole said as she opened Waverly's door and added a small bow.
"Why thank you kind gentlewoman" Waverly laughed as she took Nicole's outstretched hand. They both laughed all the way into the house.
When they were settled on the couch Nicole turned to Waverly.
"Ok so what is it you had to tell me?"
"Well um maybe it's best if I show you instead of telling you"
"Ok" with that they head to the back yard.
"Just stand here for a moment, I'm gonna go behind your shed" Waverly said as she headed in that direction and again Nicole didn't say anything, she just nodded.
Waverly walked behind the shed stripped and let the shift happen. The humans got that wrong too. The shift didn't hurt, it felt like water flowing through your veins and when the waves settled over your body you were in a different form. Waverly knew that she didn't have to take off her cloths to shift but to her it felt weird to have cloths on. it was like the human form had cloths on but their wolf could feel the material of it. she didn't like that feeling so she just stripped.
Waverly came out and Nicole let out a tiny scream and started backing up. With a look of hurt Waverly layed down and tried to make herself as small as possible. Nicole found the wall of the house as she backed up once she had stopped moving Waverly slowly crawled towards Nicole.
"W-where's Waverly?" Nicole asked the 7 foot brunette furred colored wolf that came from where Waverly went. The wolf let out a whimper hoping Nicole would understand.
"W-waverly?" Nicole asked with a look of a little fear of the wolf and curiosity of Waverly maybe being a wolf. The wolf nodded and crawled closer, Nicole shakingly put her hand out as the wolf got closer.
When Waverly reached Nicole's outstretched hand she lolled out her tongue and licked Nicoles hand. Letting out another whimper when Nicole flinched.
"S-Sorry. It's not every day you find out your girlfriend is a werewolf" Nicole nervously said. The two just stood there for a while. After a few minutes Nicole moved her hand behind one of the wolves ears and started to scratch.
Nicole burst out laughing, Waverly's leg started tapping the ground and her tail started wagging so hard the wind around it was disturbed. Waverly let out a huff when nothing she tried stopped the movements of her body.
“You're so fluffy! I never thought I would meet a werewolf let alone be dating one” a smile lit up Nicole's face. Waverly was confused until Nicole asked a question Waverly wasn't expecting.
“Would it be wrong to ask if I could ride you” a few seconds go by and realization crosses Nicole's face. “I-I mean, that's not what I meant. I just meant like through the woods or something” Nicole quickly explained. Waverly couldn't help but mentally laugh at her flustered girlfriend. After a few seconds Nicole started to regret asking but Waverly soon stopped laughing and layed down Indicating to Nicole to get on her back.
When Nicole got the message she Immediately jumped into action. Awkwardly climbing onto Waverly’s back. Waverly felt Nicole grab a hold of her fur and when she knew Nicole was secure she stood up. Nicole let out a squeak and held tighter to Waverly’s fur.
Waverly slowly starts walking toward the woods. As Waverly walked she worked up to a slow jog. Nicole’s laughter rang through the forest disturbing all the Woodland creatures.
"Your incredible Waverly" Nicole laughed as she combed her fingers through her fur. Nicole didn't know it but those three words brought so much relief to Waverly.
Waverly makes her way back towards Nicole's house. When they arrived Waverly lays down to let Nicole off her back. After Nicole is safely back on the ground, Waverly walks behind the shed and shifts back to human. Gets dressed and walks back towards Nicole.
"Waverly, that was amazing!" Nicole says excitedly.
"Really?"
"Yeah I mean it's a lot to take in but you are amazing. Your wolf form was so fluffy, you may be 7 feet tall but you were too cute to be scared of. I hope that doesn't sound condescending" she says with a smile. The two stand in comfortable silence, after a few minutes Waverly notices Nicole start to shiver.
"Baby let's head inside" Waverly says as she grabs Nicole's hand and gently pulls her towards the house. When they entered the house Waverly directed Nicole into the kitchen to sit down while she made hot chocolate for them.
“Even though you don't seem to have a problem with the whole wolf thing. I assume you still have questions” she asked as she set a cup down in front of Nicole and held one in her hands as she sat down across from her.
“If you're a wolf does that mean Wynonna is one? Is everyone in town a werewolf? Are all wolves that big? Have you always been a werewolf? What’s it like being a wolf?” Nicole gets out all of that in one breath.
“Yes Wynonna is a werewolf, it's genetic and the royal family has the ability to turn anyone into wolves. No, not everyone in town is a werewolf, just some of the townspeople. All wolves vary in size depending on their rank and personality. Being a werewolf is freeing, running through the woods, feeling the wind in your fur. There’s nothing else like it” Waverly ends with a faint smile as she thinks about being a wolf.
“That sounds amazing. Wait, you said the royal family, werewolves have royalty?”
“Yes, their is a family that has held the throne since Wyatt Earps time. There is a werewolf hierarchy, Alphas are first to the throne and top dog so to speak and then Betas, lastly there are Omegas, which is what I am” Waverly says and she waits to see what Nicole says about dating a weak link. But the only thing Nicole does is ask more questions.
“Do you know the royal family? Who's the head Alpha?” The worst question she could have asked came up faster than Waverly thought it would.
“Well you see, the um royal Alpha um… ok wynonna’s the royal Alpha” Nicole’s face turns to a look of shock. The silence cuts though the room and Waverly’s heart like a knife. After a very long while sat in silence Nicole’s lips turn into a giant small and she looks at Waverly with wonder in her eyes.
“You mean to say I'm dating royalty?” Nicole says with a little smirk and a kind smile. That one sentence gives so much relief to Waverly and she smiles too.
“Yes”
“That means Wynonna is the one who could change others into wolves”
“Yes,” Waverly answers. Nicole runs out of things to ask so she turns to Waverly and asks if she wants to watch a movie.
They head into the living room and Nicole puts on ‘twilight’. Throughout the movie Nicole kept coming back to the knowledge that Wynonna has the power to turn others into wolves. Waverly could see something was on Nicole's mind but didn't want to mess with her train of thought so Waverly just let her think.
Before the movie was over the two were asleep. Wrapped in each other's arms, with Nicole on bottom with her arms around Waverly's waist. Waverly's head lay on Nicole's chest.
Waking up Nicole thought everything from last night was a dream until she felt the weight of Waverly's body. Nicole knew she loved Waverly, knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with her. She also knew that they would never understand each other if they were different things. She wanted to be a wolf, wanted to be with Waverly. Now that she knows what she wants, now comes the hard part. How to ask Wynonna.
She lay with Waverly in her arms and brushed hair out of her face. Nicole could tell Waverly was waking because of the adorable little crinkle between her eyes.
"Morning baby" Nicole whispers.
"Mm, I could get used to waking up like this" she said as she snuggled more into Nicole.
"Well we should sleep together more often… that sounded more sexual than I intended it to" Nicole said and both of them let out laughter. They lay on the couch together for a while before Nicole regretfully ruins the moment.
"I hate to do this but I do have a shift at the station. Are you working at Shorty's today or the station?"
"I have to work at Shorty's," Waverly says sadly. Nicole turns to look at her phone and sees that they should be getting ready. The both of them work around each other to get dressed. When they both headed outside there was Nicole's cruiser and Waverly jeep.
"Do you want to carpool?" Nicole asked and Waverly just nodded and headed to the passenger side of the cruiser.
They drove towards town in silence. Nicole put one of her hands on the center console and without saying a word Waverly took it into her own. When Nicole pulled up to the station both of them got out and parted with a kiss and a promise from Nicole to stop by later in her shift.
Waverly found that everyone in the bar was already three sheets to the wind despite the early hour. More people were hitting on her than normal. Especially a very Intoxicated Champ, he is also a wolf and he thinks Omegas are just for breeding. He thinks he should be the next royal Alpha. He thinks he's the strongest, he even tried to fight Wynonna once. That did not go well for him.
The day was going by at a very slow rate, Waverly was on her last straw with Champ thinking he had a right to touch her.
"Hey baby, another round for me and the boys" Champ slurred as he walked on unsteady legs to the bar.
"Champ A). Don't call me that B). You have a tab to pay that's well into the hundreds, Shorty says I can't serve you till you pay" Waverly finishes which earns her a growl.
"Listen baby you're an Omega, you do what Alphas tell you to, so how about another round?" Champ says with a fake smile and a pretense of calmness.
"Champ, there are so many things wrong with that sentence. You don't get anymore alcohol till you pay what you owe" a louder growl answers Waverly's declaration.
"You little bitch! I want beer. You'll give me what I want or I'll teach you a lesson!" Champ yells which gets everyone's attention. The bar's door opens but no one pays any mind because they're all focused on the altercation between Waverly and Champ.
"Mr. Hardy, are you causing problems for the lovely Ms. Earp?" A voice calls from the opened door. Everyone turns and sees Nicole standing there with her Stinson in her hands.
"Stay out of this dyke!" A few gasps are heard and the room falls silent.
"Champ" Waverly gasped.
"It's already Ms. Earp, he is clearly just angry and it's not the first time I've been called that. Now Mr. Hardy, I suggest you either calm down or leave" Nicole says calmly as she walks towards the bar. always the picture of grace and professionalism. Nicole once told Waverly that she didn't want the town to be rude to her if they saw that a Sheriff deputies was showing Favoritism. so they both agreed that when Nicole was in uniform that they would not show any outward affections towards each other.
"I'm not going anywhere till I get what I want!"
"Well I'm sure Ms. Earp has given you a reason why you can't. Now please leave or calm down" Champ turns to Nicole and growls. He starts walking towards her with his claws out and Waverly knows that her lovely girlfriend wouldn't stand a chance. Waverly quickly walks around the bar and steps in front of Nicole stopping Champ in his tracks.
"Stay away from her" Waverly growls out and for a split second Champ looks surprised, takes a small step back then just as quickly his face turns to anger and he closes the distance between him and Waverly. Getting right into her face, he whispers into her ear.
"You should tell your bitch to stay out of things she won't be able to handle" then he backs a step or two away and waits with his arms acrossed his chest as he looks at Waverly. What she does is not what he expects. She growls loud and clear for everyone to hear.
"She is not a bitch, or a dyke. You're an asshole if you think you can say those things and still get what you want. I will no longer be a doormat. You are talking to a royal. You will respect me" Waverly growls and after a minute Champ lowers his head in submission.
The people around the bar break out in noise after Champ walks out followed by his friends. When Waverly no longer heard Champ's loud footsteps or his voice making snide comments she turned to Nicole.
"Is he a wolf?" Nicole whispers when she pulls Waverly into a hug. Waverly silently nods.
After a long while standing together someone in the bar calls for Waverly's assistance in ordering a drink. Nicole moved to the bar and just sat and watched Waverly work around the room.
They spent the next few hours like that, Nicole kept thinking about the werewolf thing. Waverly too busy to notice the look of conviction Nicole had. Nicole knew what she wanted, she just didn't know how to bring it up to Wynonna.
Nicole had to leave a few hours before the end of shift. A howl rang out and Waverly stiffened. The howl was full of hate and anger, she knew who it belonged to. Champ.
Waverly quickly walked out of the bar and went in the direction of the howl. After a few seconds she saw a form laying on the ground in an alley with two wolves standing over it. The two wolves were much smaller than her and from the smell of them Waverly could tell that one of them was Champ. The other scent. She knew the other smell but couldn't tell where she knew it from. From the smell Waverly realized that the form on the ground was Nicole. She shifted and growled. The two wolves noticed they were caught and quickly scampered away.
Waverly made her way over to Nicole and checked her over. The only thing Waverly could see was that Nicole had an open bleeding cut above her brow. Waverly laid down and gently brushed her wet, cold nose against Nicole's face. She grunted and opened her eyes.
"Waverly?" Nicole asked and Waverly shifted back.
"We have to get you to Dolls. I'm going to shift and you're going to climb on my back. Can you do that?"
"I don't think I have the strength for that. I'm sorry baby"
"No, don't say that. This is not your fault. Ok what we are going to do, you're going to wrap your arms around me and I'm going to shift. That should bring you to your feet. Then I will lay down and you'll climb on" Waverly said and Nicole did as Waverly said. When Nicole's arms were securely around Waverly's neck, she shifted.
When Waverly was done Nicole was gripping tightly to her fur. They stood still for a few seconds to give Nicole time to gather her strength to stand up on her own. Nicole let go of Waverly's fur but quickly regretted that because she became dizzy. Waverly laid down and Nicole practically fell onto her back.
Nicole Gripped onto Waverly’s fur. “Fluffy” Nicole slurred a little out of it from her Injuries.
When Waverly knew Nicole was securely on her back she slowly made her way through the alley's towards the back door of the station. Waverly had to duck down a few times but they made it to the station in a little over five minutes. Waverly crawled her way throughout the station till she made it to the BBD office doors.
She managed to get the door opened with a combination of her mouth and claws. When she was inside she looked around and didn't see anyone but did hear a discussion going on in Dolls office.
Waverly let out a short but semi loud bark. Wynonna, Dolls, and Doc came walking out of the office with confusion on their faces until they saw Nicole on Waverly who was in wolf form.
"Waverly? What are you doing in wolf form? And why are you carrying Nicole?" Wynonna asked as she walked over to the two and scratched behind Waverly's ears. She started to purr before she remembered the matter at hand.
"Two wolves attacked me. Waverly found me and she said we had to come to Dolls" Nicole said as her eyes slowly blinked, still a little out of it but having enough energy to explain the situation.
"Really? Waverly did you get a good look or whiff of them?" Dolls asks as he and Doc help Nicole off of Waverly's back. Waverly laid down to help them out.
When Nicole was safely on the ground held up by Doc and Dolls, Waverly walked into the extra room and shifted back. When she came back out she saw Nicole sitting down and Dolls standing in front of her, looking her over.
"You'll be fine. I don't see anything other than the cut on your brow but make sure to stay up for the next few hours In case of a concussion” Dolls said and once Nicole was taken care of Wynonna turned to Waverly.
“Do you know who did this?” Wynonna almost growled, she may say she doesn't like Nicole but over the last few months the redhead had come to mean almost as much to Wynonna as Waverly does. She also knows what would happen to Waverly if anything were to happen to Nicole.
“One of them was Champ but the other I don't know. I mean I recognize their scent but I can't for the life of me remember where I have smelled it before” Waverly said, Dolls turned to Nicole and asked her to recall everything that happened.
Waverly didn't mean to but she tuned out Nicole’s story as she thought about the other scent. She thought about who Champ could get to work with him, who he could get to attack a Sheriff's deputy. She finally remembered where and who the scent belonged to. She tuned back into Nicole's story to hear the very end.
"Tucker Gardner" everyone in the room turned to look at Waverly.
“What?” Wynonna asks.
“The other scent, it belongs to Tucker Gardner” Waverly snarls. She starts to walk towards the door, she was going to make them pay for hurting her mate but she’s pulled back by the arm. When she turns to yell at whoever pulled her back she sees Wynonna holding her arm.
“Sis I know you want to go kick their asses and I cant believe Im about to say this but we might need to handle this legally first”
“Why? Your high alpha. You can punish them. We don't need the law!” Waverly finished with a yell. At the moment she didn't care how they were dealt with, she just wanted to hit them a few times. She didnt care if that got her arrested too.
“We will go catch them, but we do it by the book” Wynonna says and at first Waverly growls but after looking both at Wynonna then at Nicole who was still sitting and still looked a little dazed, she lowered her head and nodded.
“Good now Doc, Dolls you boys stay here and look after Nicole. Me and Waverly are going after them” Wynonna said and walked to the door leaving no room for arguments.

The two of them made it back to the spot where Nicole was attacked by following Waverly’s scent. When they arrived they started to follow the other two scents they knew did not belong to either Nicole or Waverly but belonged to Champ and Tucker.
The two of them followed the scents to an old looking house, belonging to the Garner family. Both scents led to the side door down to the basement. When they made their way down into the basement they were stunned to see what was down there.
Picture upon picture hung on the walls. The pictures held Waverly, they were all in different locations around town and some were even taken from outside Waverly's bedroom window. Some were taken from outside Nicole's place. The pictures that had Nicole in them, her face was scratched out.
A million pictures covered all four walls like a shrine. When Wynonna and Waverly were able to pull their eyes away from the pictures. They turned and saw both Champ and Tucker with VR headsets on jacking off.
Both Wynonna and Waverly wanted to throw up. Wynonna walked over to them, not wanting to touch them but knowing she had too. She grabbed the headsets and fling them off. The boys jumped up when their play time was interrupted.
"What the hell are you two doing down here?" Wynonna yells.
"What are we doing? What are you two doing in my home?!" Was Tucker's response. The two boys were only focused on Wynonna, they didn't see the object of their obsession behind her.
“You are under arrest for assaulting an officer. Come on boys don't make this any harder than it has to be” wynonna said as she walked towards them but she was hoping they would put up a fight just so she could beat them around a little. They deserve a little beating for what they have been doing, obsessing over her sister. Even if she could guess what they were doing, she didn't want to think about what they were doing with the VR.
“We didn't do anything!” Champ yells as he backs away from Wynonna. The both of them knew that she was high Alpha.
“You do know we are werewolves right? We know your scent, we followed it back here and now you're under arrest”
The two boys continued to back up until they were met with the wall. The two boys look behind Wynonna, finally they saw Waverly standing by the door.
"Hey there baby" Champ says as he looks at Waverly. Wynonna steps in front of her and growls.
"Don't talk to her! You two assholes are under arrest. Now we can do this the easy way or the hard way" Champ And Tucker look at each other before turning back to Wynonna.
"The hard way" they growl and shift. Champ heads straight for Wynonna while Tucker heads for Waverly.
The four of them fight each other, the boys in wolf form and Waverly and Wynonna in human form. Tucker tries to bite Waverly's leg but Waverly quickly jumps out of the way, Waverly bashes him over the head and knocks him out. Wynonna isn't so fast with getting her fight over with. Waverly stands out of the way but close in case Wynonna needs her help. It doesn't take much longer for Wynonna to deal with Champ.
The both of them lay unconscious on the floor, Waverly turns to look back at the wall of photos and feels bile rise in her throat.
“You alright baby girl?” Wynonna asks as she comes to stand next to Waverly while still keeping an eye on the two unconscious werewolf forms.
“This just makes me want to throw up” Waverly admits, she turns to look at Wynonna.
“What the hell were they doing down here with all these pictures of me? With those VR headsets? How did they get some of these? Why is Nicole scratched out in all of them?”
“Well I'm going to call Dolls to come and arrest these two buffoons. We can ask all those questions at the station when they wake up” Wynonna says and Waverly nods.
“Hey sis would you mind if I ran back to the station now? I just really want to be with Nicole” Waverly asks, Wynonna looks at her for a second before silently nodding then pulling her into a quick hug that turns out to be a long hug. When they pull apart Wynonna takes Waverly’s face in her hands.
“Go be with your human, I will see you when I get back ok” Wynonna says and then leans in to kiss Waverly's forehead.
Waverly pulls away from Wynonna giving her a small smile and turning towards the door. She has to step over Tucker's body to get out of the door but when she makes it outside she takes in a big gulp of the fresh air.
She shifts and heads for the station. After a few minutes of running she changes her destination. She started towards the homestead, she needed a minute to clear her head. She needed to feel the wind in her fur, the ground under her paws, she felt sick knowing that the two of them were and have been watching her for an unknown amount of time.
She ran and ran, when she came up into the homestead she walked into the barn and laid down. She didn't want to shift back yet.
Back at the station
Wynonna and Dolls walked into the station each holding one handcuffed idiot ika Champ and Tucker. When the two were securely in holding Wynonna went in search of her sister.
Walking into the BBD offices all she saw was Nicole sitting in a chair instead of laying on the rest. She also saw Doc with his hat over his eyes and leaning back in a chair but Waverly was nowhere in sight.
"Nicole, where is Waverly?" Wynonna asks as she looks around and settles her eyes on Nicole with worry in her voice.
"I thought she was with you"
"She ran back early, she should have gotten here way before me and Dolls" Wynonna said with even more worry flowing out of her voice. Nicole jumps up and walks towards Wynonna along with Doc.
"Doc go to the Garner house and follow Waverly's scent. Shorty's should be closing so I’ll drop by and see if she's there or if Shorty has seen her. Nicole head to the homestead to see if she went there" the three of them nod and head to their respective destinations.
Wynonna was the first to arrive at her destination, when she walked into Shorty's she saw Shorty standing behind the bar cleaning. She looked around for her sister but didn't see her so she walked towards Shorty to ask if he had seen Waverly.
"Hey Shorty have you seen Waverly?" he turns to look at Wynonna with confusion.
“She left a few hours before the end of shift, I thought she had an emergency so I didn't question it. I thought she would be with you. I haven't seen her since she left… I did see Champ and Tucker in here earlier with shit eating grins on their faces talking about how they did something to teach someone a lesson” at the end of Shorty’s monologue Wynonna let out a furious growl. Shorty just looked at her with concern.
“Wynonna, is everything alright?” he asked as he made his way around the bar and stopped next to Wynnonna.
“I think so but I am totally kicking Champ and Tuckers asses later. Waverly went off on her own and now we are looking for her. If you see her will you tell her we are looking for her?” she asked and only headed for the door once Shorty nodded.
Doc was the next to arrive at his destination, he proceeded to follow the sister’s scent and found the creepy shrine to Waverly. Once his shock wore off he quickly resumed his task of following Waverly's scent. He noticed that she started off heading for the station but after a few miles changed directions.
He continued to follow her scent and then came upon the homestead where he heard a steady heartbeat coming from the barn. When he walked in he saw Waverly in wolf form asleep.
He walked over to the bed in the far corner of the barn took the blanket and gently placed it over Waverly. It didn't cover her entire wolf body but it did cover a majority of her.
She didn't so much as twitch, when he saw that he didn't disturb her he decided to leave her be and inform Wynonna of her location. Right before he was going to leave he heard the sound of tires on gravel, someone just arrived at the homestead. He let out a breath of relief when he saw that it was just Nicole.
“Did you find her?” she asked when she noticed him. As he couldn't answer, he just nodded towards the open door of the barn. Luckily Nicole understood what he was trying to say, she walked towards the door and he took his leave.
Nicole was the last to arrive at her destination. During the entire drive to the homestead she was worried sick for her girlfriend. When she arrived she saw Doc standing in his wolf form.
"Did you find her?" She asked and he just nodded towards the open barn door. She walked towards it only focusing on Waverly.
When she walked into the barn she let out the breath she didn't know she was holding. She saw that Waverly was asleep. She also saw the blanket that she guessed Doc had placed over her.
She didn't want to disturb Waverly so she just walked over to her and sat next to and gently combed her fingers through her fur. Waverly subconsciously leaned into Nicole's gentle touch.
A few minutes pass in peace before Waverly started to move in her sleep, she stretches and opens her eyes. She smiles when she sees Nicole sitting next to her.
"Hey baby" Nicole says sweetly as she continues her gentle combing. Waverly just closes her eyes and enjoys the feeling of Nicole's fingers.
A few more minutes pass in silence before the screeching sound of a ringtone. Nicole is quick to answer so as not to disturb Waverly.
"Hello Wynonna" Nicole answer's.
"Doc found me and told me he found Waverly and that you're with her. You take care of her Haughtshot, she needs you" Wynonna said and immediately hung up without letting Nicole say anything. Nicole turns to look at Waverly once she put her phone away.
"You don't have to shift back but could you nod so I know if you're ok or not" she asked. Waverly stood up and shook out her fur then walked around Nicole befoer coming to face her again and leaned down and licked her face.
"Aww gross!" Nicole said as she wiped her face and turned to look back at the wolf. Waverly just let out a playful bark.
"So you're in a playful mood?" She asked and Waverly nodded and then let out another bark. She layed down and looked at Nicole expectedly.
"You want to run with me on your back again?" Waverly just nodded and her tail started to wag with excitement.
Nicole gently climbed onto Waverly's back. When Waverly knew she was secure she stood up.
Nicole held tightly to Waverly's fur as she jumped over and dodged around the trees and rocks as she ran through the woods.
As Waverly ran Nicole noticed the sky changing colors, it went from a beautiful baby blue to pitch black with nothing but the stars to light their way. Nicole knew not to be afraid because despite the darkness Waverly could see perfectly.
An unknown amount of time had passed when Waverly walked back towards the homestead. Waverly was breathing heavily, she spent a majority of the run jumping and dodging everything but always being careful of Nicole on her back.
Waverly let Nicole off her back. When she turned to look at Waverly she couldn't help but wrap her arms around Waverly.
“Waverly Earp you are the sweetest, kindest, most beautiful person I have ever met. You are the nicest person in Purgatory, what those boys were doing in that room I don't even what to think about but you beat them and they will face their crimes” Nicole finishes and tightens her arms around Waverly’s huge wolf form.
They stay like that for a little while before Waverly pulls back and licks Nicole’s face again.
“Aww! You will pay for that Waverly!” Nicole playfully yells as she runs after Waverly towards the barn. When Nicole caught up with Waverly, she was sitting on her hind legs and looking at the door. Nicole walked towards her and scratched between her eyes. Waverly leaned into her touch.
“Adorable fluffy puppy”
