“Woahh!” Kohane ran to the gates of the theme park. It was lively. An followed behind laughing.
”There’s so many fun things,” A said, pointing to so many rides. She pointed to a roller coaster that was pretty high up.
Akito and Toya trailed behind them, just following. They talked amongst themselves, taking turns and keeping an eye on both of them.
When they reach the beginning of the line, Toya snaps his head up. He shakes slightly, alerting Akito who was mostly zoned out.
”Hm? You okay?” He asked, holding onto Toya’s shoulder. The blue haired boy nudged him. “Do you wanna sit this one out?”
”No, you’ll be lonely then,” Toya said, holding onto him. Admittedly he was terrified. While waiting in line he could hear the screams of people as they dropped.
”Are you sure? I can go with An and Kohane,” Akito said. The two girls in front of them smiled, holding hands.
”Yeah,” An said. She patted him on the shoulder.
”Akito, I’m coming with you,” Toya looked at him. Akito softly smiled. He was proud. An and Kohane both clapped. The front of the line was drawing in closer and closer.
Toya nearly regretted his choice when they were let in. The inside was full of people as they load in and out coaster seats. Toya nearly grabs Akito’s hand, but retracts it.
”Oooh this is so exciting! You’ll have so much fun Toya!” Kohane jumped up. When they reached the front, a lady asked how many were in the party.
”We’re almost there~!” An teased. Of course they’d be right in front of them. Toya was more than nervous. The carts came rolling in. People exited them. The gates opened.
”You’ll be fine, I’ll be by you the entire time,” Akito sat down. He pulls the guard down as it snaps into place. Toya follows. His legs shake. “Listen, I’m here,”
”I can do this,” Toya looked at Akito. He wanted to do this for him. It started. Toya took a deep breath. As it moved along the track rather slowly, it came to a halt.
”3…2…1!” A speaker shouted. The coaster was shot forward. It was exhilarating, yet terrifying. Toya held out his hand, grabbing Akito’s. He could hear a laugh before climbing the top.
”This was a mistake-” Toya managed to say before the drop. His stomach felt like it vanished. He practically gripped onto the others hand, feeling like his bones were broken. His other hand tightly gripped the bar. His heart almost came out of his body.
Akito laughed and cheered as the coaster was propelled forward. He kept his grip as Toya silently laid back.
Before he knew it, it was over. The flash pictures probably got a good photo of him. It stopped. Toya let go of Akito’s hand.
”See, you’re so brave,” Akito smiled. The guards lifted up. They walked out together waiting for the other two.
”Ahhh Toya! You did it!!” Kohane jumped. She grabbed him by the arm and dragged him to the photo section.
”Where are we?” An looked before pointing to the screen. Her and Kohane held up a little heart.
”We look so dumb,” Akito laughed. Toya grew red. Their hands were together and Akito was laughing, while Toya was on the verge of crying.
”I think… I need a break,” Toya groaned. He leaned up against Akito who held him up.
”You guys go ahead, I’ll stay with him for a second,” Akito shoo’d them away. He guided Toya to a bench. They sat together. Toya’s head rested on Akito’s shoulder.
”My head is killing me,” Toya said, playing with Akito’s hoodie strings. His head was pounding like crazy, and he felt like he wanted to throw up.
”This was your first ride, we can rest and I can buy us some drinks and food,” Akito wrapped his arm around Toya’s waist. “This is embarrassing, would a kiss make you feel better?”
”Mhm,” Toya smiled. Akito grumbled before he swiftly placed a small kiss on Toya’s head.
”There, now keep this a secret,” Akito huffed, pulling Toya closer to him. He snuggled right into Akito, his head hurt less.
”Thank you Akito,” Toya softly said. The lively atmosphere contrasted to the sweet moment was out of place, as many onlookers stared. Akito could've sworn that Tsukasa sneaked a peak, even when he’s supposed to plane performing in his Sekai.
It was a pleasant day. The loud screams of people going on the roller coaster, the loud music playing, to the streets filled with chatter. Akito felt much better with his partner right there beside him.
