The original members of the team (Superboy, Kid Flash, Nightwing (formerly Robin), Aqualad, Miss Martian, and Artemis) just got back from a mission, and dispersed to take showers, get some snacks, or just relax in general. This left Nightwing in the lounge just sitting on the couch.
When the Zeta Toob activated Nightwing heard 'B-02', and groaned. "Hood."
"Yes?" Red Hood asked with fake confusion.
"Why are you here, and not in Gotham?"
At this, Dick could tell that Jason was smirking evilly under the helmet. "I feel like that is obvious." Was the response.
"Why do you do this to me?"
"Because it is my job as a, unfortunately, younger brother, to annoy you."
"But why did you have to annoy me here?"
"Because I wanted to." he said before he burst out into laughter.
Dick sighed, "Just go, before the rest of them get back."
"Too late for that Dickiebird, Aqualad is here." said Jason after he stopped laughing
Nightwing groaned.
"Care to explain why you are having a conversation with a Gotham crime lord, and not tying him up?" Aqualad asked.
Hood gasped dramatically and put a hand over his heart saying, "Excuse me?! I am an ex-crime lord thank you very much!"
"Would you believe me if I said I'm talking to myself and didn't see him?" Nightwing asked completely ignoring him
"No, I would not, but I assume you have a good reason for not dealing with him?" Aqualad asked
Nightwing shrugged and said, "Oh well, worth a shot. And, while he was a crime lord before, he is more of an Anti-Hero now. But don't tell anyone else unless you absolutely need to."
"And why would I not share this information?" Aqualad asked with his eyes narrowed in suspicion.
"Because, for some reason, Hood doesn't want a whole lot of people outside of Gotham to know that he is not a crime lord anymore. He's weird." Nightwing said with a shrug.
Aqualad considered and accepted it. He could trust Nightwing. Then he noticed something. "Where did Red Hood go?"
"Hopefully back to Gotham." Nightwing answered.
Then both of them heard cackling coming from all around them. "Never mind. He is still here."
"You can't get rid of me that easily." Hood said from where he was standing behind Aqualad.
"Just don't shoot or tramatize any of them please." Nightwing said.
"Hmmmm.... No promises. See ya." Hood said, then he vanished and not long after, Kid Flash entered looking greatly unnerved.
"You good KF?" Nightwing asked.
"Hmm? Oh, ya I'm one hundred percent fine. Not hearing evil cackling coming from everywhere and nowhere at the same time at all." Kid Flash said slightly hysterical.
Nightwing just sighed and said, "This is going to be a long day."
