"Not safe for me, or not safe because of you?" Hannibal asked, gazing at this man with keen interest.
The man nearly winced. "Both."
Hannibal went to respond, but found himself hissing again as a dog pushed its snout against his ankle, whining at its owner afterward.
The man’s brow furrowed. “You break something?”
“My ankle,” Hannibal answered simply. “I’m afraid that leaves me quite unable to run.”

After a chase between Hannibal Lecter and Tobias Budge results in a car crash that leaves both men injured, Hannibal must use the only building he finds as shelter from the storm that sent them off the road to begin with.
