    Cyno leans in, so dangerously close that Haitham can see his pupils narrow to slits in the fading light. A moment of silence passes and the tension within the air makes it unbearable.

    “Why wouldn’t I? With that attitude of yours, I can only think about how you need to be put in your place.” The ferocity temporarily fades from Cyno’s voice. “Are you ready for the punishment that you deserve?”

    “Yes.” Haitham whispers breathlessly...
