Chapter Text

As Jim wakes up, he finds out he is running late for school. Shit! I overslept! Jim said in his mind, as he got out of bed.  “Good morning Tooth.” He said looking down to see Toothless laying down right beside his bed. He runs down the stairs to see Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo in the living room. “Good morning guys.” He said looking at them, laughing a little. They roar to say good morning back. After Jim made breakfast for his mom and lunch for him and Toby aka his best friend, he went outside. “What took you so long Jimbo?” Toby said, while looking at Jim. Jim looked up and saw Tobey’s pet dragon on his shoulder. “Sorry Tobes, I was making breakfast and lunch.” Jim said, giving Toby a paper bag with lunch in it.

“OH, is it meatloaf?” Toby said excitedly. “Yep!” Jim said happily to Toby. “Come on!” Jim said while jumping on his bike. As they were going to school they took a shortcut though the woods. “Jim! Wait up!” Toby yelled, as Jim reached the ravine. “Come on Tobes!” Jim yelled, while waiting for Toby to get down to the ravine where he was. “Just give me a second!” Toby yelled again, while trying to petal faster. “Uh!!!” Jim yelled annoyed, while laying his bike on the sediment. Why is he like this. Jim said in his mind, while sitting down next to his bike. “I’m almost there!” Toby yelled, as he finally saw the ravine. 

“ Jim Lake Jr.” A voice said in the distance. “ W-Who said that?!?!” Jim said confused and scared . “Jim Lake Jr.” The voice said again. “Jim who said that?!?!” Toby said as he finally  got to the ravine. “ I-I don’t know Tobes.” Jim said as he walked to a strange pile of rocks. He looked through the rocks to find  this amulet. “Jim Lake Jr.” The amulet said to him again. “Shoot, we're late for the first period!” Jim said, while putting the amulet in his bag. When they made it to school, they immediately when to class hoping nobody was paying attention to them. For most of the class Jim was sleeping, which his teacher noticed and wasn’t happy about it.

“ Uh. Jim, can you tell me what I just said please.” Mr. Stickler said, looking at Jim. “Uhh…” Jim said while waking up, as he looked at Mr. Stickler. Everyone started laughing at him for not listening. Then the bell rang and everyone left except Jim because he dropped his stuff. “ Jim, can we have a word please?” Mr. Stickler asked Jim. “Yeah, What is it Mr. Stickler?” Jim said, looking at him. “ Jim, you fell asleep for half of the class. Are you ok?” Mr. Stickler said, looking at Jim worried. “ Yeah I’m fine, just tired…” Jim said, while looking down at the ground. “I know it is just you and your mom, but you shouldn’t be up so late caring for her.” Mr. Stickler said, still looking at Jim worried.

“ I just want to take care of her. I’ll be fine. I promise.” Jim said finally  getting his stuff together and getting up. “Bye Mr. Stickler.” Jim said as he was about to leave the class. “ Wait! Jim, I want you to give this to your mom. It’s my number, if you guys want me to come over and help.” Mr. Stickler said, giving Jim a piece of paper with his number on it. “Thanks Mr. Stickler.” Jim said, looking at him with a smile. When he went outside he saw Steve, the school bully, bullying a boy named Eli, with his indoraptor. “Hey Steve! How about you stop? He had enough today.” Jim said while looking at Steve.

“Says the kid who doesn’t have a dragon or a dinosaur as a pet.” Steve said back to Jim, as he shoved Eli in a locker. “Stop o-or else.” Jim said nervously, hoping that Steve would back down. “Or else what. ‘Laughs’ Come on! Make me.” Steve said, holding Jim by his shirt. “Let him go! Let him go!” Toby started yelling, while everyone else followed. “Fine, but we’re going to finish this next week. Got it Jim?” Steve said, while letting go of Jim. “F-Fine.” Jim said scared of what will happen to him. Later that day Toby asked Jim as they were heading home, “Did you just agree to fight Steve?!?!” 

Jim looked at Toby and his dragon and said, “Y-Yeah. I did.” Jim said it in fear. When Jim got home he said goodbye to Toby and his pet dragon and went inside his house. When Jim got inside he was greeted by Toothless jumping onto him. Jim laughed and said “Hey buddy. How you been?” As Toothless got off of Jim, he went to the living room where the others were at waiting for him. “Hey guys.” Jim said, looking at the four velociraptors. Jim then walked over and pet the four of them. Then Jim went to the kinchen and made dinner for him and his dinosaur and dragon friends. When he was finished, he gave Toothless, Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo their food and sat on the couch. “What are you?” Jim said, while looking at the amulet. 

    “Roar!” Blue groaned, as she wanted Jim to play with her. “Alright, alright! I can worry about this later.” Jim said, while getting up. He put the Amulet in his pocket, making sure he didn’t lose it or that Charlie or Echo wouldn’t eat it. “So! What wanna play girl?” Jim asked, while watching Blue as she ran around the living room excitedly. Jim laughed, as Toothless joined Blue. “Roar!” Toothless yelped, while wagging his tail. “Oh, so you want to play now too? You didn’t even finish eating yet.” Jim said while still laughing, as he walked over to the overly excited animals. Crash! As Jim, Blue, and Toothless were playing, one of the plates was hit off the counter by Blue’s tail.

Shit! Mom’s gonna kill me! Jim said in his mind as he ran over to the kitchen. He saw that Blue cut herself with the glass and ran over to her. Blue looked at Jim sadly, while feeling guilty about breaking the plate. “Hey. It’s okay girl, we all make mistakes. Come on! Let’s get you bandages up.” Jim said softly, while petting Blue gently on the head. After ten minutes, Jim had Blue all nice and bandage up. “See? It wasn’t that bad girl.” Jim said, while looking at Blue. Blue then started to lick Jim’s face thanking him, as Jim laughed. “You guys stay here, I’m gonna to clean up the mess we made.” Jim said, while Toothless and the other run up to Blue. After Jim was done cleaning, he saw Blue’s brothers and Toothless playing with Blue trying to make her feel better. Aww. Jim said in his mind, while leaning up against the wall.

Chapter Text

Just then Jim heard a strange noise in the basement and went down into the basement to check it out. “W-Who’s there?” Jim asked sacred, while looking around in the basement. “Master Jim!” A voice yelled behind him. When Jim turned around he saw a human shaped rock creature. “Ahh!!” Jim yelled, falling backwards. “Hello.” Another voice said, Jim looked up and saw a Deadly Nadder next to another rock creature. Jim then fell on the floor terrified, while looking around the room. Just then Toothless jumped in between Jim and the creatures, to protect him.  Toothless roared, as he ran to Jim to make sure he was alright. “Great grumble gruesome! A Night Fury!” One of the creatures yelled, while looking at at Toothless amazed.

“F-First off, who are you guys and how do you get in my house?!?!” Jim said confused and scared. Then Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo came in and ran to Jim. “Hey guys.” Jim said as the velociraptors surrounded him to protect him. “My name is Blinky the six eye troll and this is Aaarrrgghh my troll friend. Also, this is our pet dragon named Reaver. We got into you house by sneaking in here from the back door. Now tell us, how did you get a Night Fury and four velociraptors!?!? They haven't been for millions of centuries!” Blinky said, shocked by what he was seeing. Jim sat there, while trying to think about what he should say and how to calm down.

“Well my name is- well you already know my name. This is Toothless the Night Fury and this is Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo the velociraptors. If you don’t hurt me, then they won’t hurt you.” Jim said that trying to see past the fact that he was talking to two different creatures. “Wait... How do you know my name?!?!” Jim said confused and scared again. “We know your name because when a new Trollhunter is chosen. It sends a message telling us your name.” Blinky said, looking at Jim. “What’s a Trollhunter and why was I chosen to be it?” Jim asked, still confused. “The Trollhunter protects us from evil trolls we called gum gums.” Blinky said while looking at Jim.

“But the reason why the amulet chooses that troll to be the new Trollhunter is a mystery to be solved later on because it doesn’t tell us why it chose that troll. But you Master Jim, you are the first ever human Trollhunter ever! Which is a big success for the Amulet and you! '' Blinky said, while still looking at Jim as well as still being a little shocked. I’m the first ever human trollhunter!?!? Whatever that means… Jim said in his mind, while looking at Toothless. They decided to go to the living room, so it would be easier to calm down Jim’s pets and so they don’t try to kill the trolls. “What are trolls anyway?” Jim asked while petting Toothless with Blue, Echo, Charlie, and Delta behind him.

“Trolls are rock-like creatures that live underground because we are harmed by the sun. And if we touch it for too long, we will turn into stone and die.” Blinky said, while Toothless looks at curiously. “So,you’re kinda like vampires? If you know what they are.” Jim asked, looking at Blinky. “Kinda, if you think about it.” Blinky said, while looking back at Toothless. “You can pet him if you want. He won’t hurt you, trust me!” Jim said happily, while looking at Blinky, laughing a little. Blinky took zero hesitation and started petting Toothless imminently. Toothless, Blue, Echo, Charlie, and Delta didn’t mind the new company they had, as long as Jim was safe.

“Well, we better get going.” Blinky said, while stopped petting Toothless. “Quick question before you leave. Will anyone try to kill me?” Jim asked nervously, while looking at Blinky. “Yes. There’ll be more than one hunting you master Jim.” Blinky said, while looking back at Jim with a serious look. “What!?!? I-I mean, I understand…” Jim said nervously again, while rubbing the back of his neck. “Don’t be worried Master Jim! You have a Night Fury and four Velecraptors to protect you!” Blinky yelled, while looking at Jim with a concerning smile. “Right…” Jim said, while shaking a little. Toothless knew Jim was feeling nervous and ran over to him.

“I’m okay bud.” Jim said, while petting Toothless and forgetting about what Blinky was saying early. I’m glad I have you guys around. Jim said in his mind, while looking at the others with a gentle smile. “So Master Jim! I was hoping that we could stay here if you don’t mind.” Blinky asked, while looking at Aaarrrgghh. Jim looked at Blinky and Aaarrrgghh with a surprised look. “My mom will be here soon, so I don’t think that’s gonna work.” Jim said, while looking at Blinky with a little smile. “Understandable, not everyone is used to two rock like creatures being in their house I suppose.” Blinky said, while making Jim laugh a little. “What’s so funny?” Aaarrrgghh asked, while looking at Jim confused. “Oh! Just was thinking about how my mom would react if she saw you guys.” Jim said, while still laughing.
