Peter Parker was not a criminal. He was the farthest thing from one, he was a superhero for goodness sake! But even while he had a strong moral backbone, he still found pickpockets fascinating. To be able to slip your hand into somebody's pocket and take their wallet, while they were still oblivious did have a certain appeal. But peter would never do it. Cloud you imagine? Spider-man, a pickpocket. No, spider-man was above stealing. He stopped crimes almost daily! Despite telling this to himself he still found himself thinking about it more then he would like to admit. Though when a certain trickster god was show to be more then proficient with pickpockting, peter couldn't resist the temptation to ask him to teach him.
Peter had been walking into the common room when he saw Tony, Steve and Natasha sitting on the common rooms L shaped couch, staring at looking who was standing just ahead of them, holding 3 wallets and looking very smug.
Peters head tilted in confusion "Whats happening?" He asked.
"Reindeer games here just stole our wallets." Tony chuckled and motioned for Loki to hand him back his wallet.
Loki did not give him his wallet and instead glared at the engineer. "I did not do something as lowly as to steal! I just performed a demonstration of an ability you could not have mastered with centuries of practice!" The god scoffed and handed back their wallets.
Peter's brain did not compute. It made perfect sense that Loki knew how to pickpocket. He was the god of mischief and tricks after all, why wouldn't he? But before peter could choose what to say to Loki, he had dissipated in a puff of green smoke. Steve and Tony started bickering about how he could have gotten their wallets, but peter was long gone, Speed walking to Loki's room.
Loki was surprisingly happy to teach peter, telling him it would be a perfect way to pull a trick on the avengers. And after a month of hard work, peter felt confident in his thieving skills. But i would be another month before peter put his new talents to use.
