Work Text:
Lucius knew who he was going to find when he opened the door, and he wasn’t ready to face him. Once the Order of the Phoenix had disbanded, Ted and Andromeda Tonks had started on their own mission.
They called it Radical Red— it was to try and rehabilitate reformed Death Eaters. And Ted Tonks had taken it upon himself that Lucius was his only hope of the program working. He had begged Lucius multiple times and wouldn’t leave him alone more than a day or two before he was back on his doorstep.
Ted said he owed him a Life Debt. He had apparently saved him from death in the first war and the second war.
At first Lucius didn’t remember, then Ted showed him the memories of the two raids in question where Ted had pushed Lucius out of the way of Antonin Dolohov’s curses. Saving his life.
So in fact— Lucius did owe him a Life Debt. And if this was how he was calling it up, Lucius had no choice but to go through the program and show his face as the first.
He knew that wasn’t the only reason that Ted was coming after him. It came from their short time together when they were at Hogwarts;
Lucius had known back then he didn’t only like the gentle form of the female. He also liked the harder, brusquer form of the male.
But he hid it. Or so he thought.
Ted Tonks had found him in the Library one day; backed him into a dark corner and kissed him.
The magical feeling that spread through him brought him back to life. He had been fighting his father on what was expected of him as of late and it was killing him that he would have to take the mantle of his father as soon as he graduated.
He was a shell of himself really. Until now. Until Ted took control of him for a moment and made him submit to him.
Every Saturday Lucius would return to the Library and back to that corner and allow Ted to take over control for a bit.
It was freeing.
He felt himself flying, he felt his magic coming through more powerfully than before after his trips to the library with Ted.
Lucius waited for a moment before opening the door and then came face to face with his old lover for the first time alone in many years.
Would Ted want to do anything?
