Chapter 1: He finds what he ever so wanted

Chapter Text

THIRD PERSON POV

It's been a year since the Kraang invasion. After Sandro had gotten stuck in the prison dimension for around a month, his brothers didn't leave him alone for a good 8 months. He wasn't even that hurt, it was Leo with all the broken ribs, yet they persist in always being around him. He didn't mind it though I mean being ignored all your life to get all of the attention felt amazing, for a little while anyways. But his brothers were out on a mission Sandro didn't listen to the details he stayed back to read comics. But Sandro being alone just made him feel lonely, it's not like he wasn't used to it, it's just been a while. So Sandro stood up and made his way to his cart. He moved out of Leo’s when they needed to move some medical things into his room. He crouched down and searching with his arm found the plush. The plush he made to feel less alone. A plush he made to look like the Kraang, he knows if one of his brothers saw it they would freak. But Kraang is the only one that gave him comfort in that entire month he felt attached to him. It was terrible to leave his new father figure out of the blue but he didn't want to leave his family waiting.

Sandro looked down at the worn-torn plush, he made it himself not letting anyone see the project but the seams were torn and the stitching was bad. He even had Mikey teach him how to sew for this yet he messed it up. Making it about a month after he was out of the prison dimension, he made it because it reminded him of how the Kraang didn't push him away. That he mattered he talked to him too! Everything splinter had failed to do for him, so oddly enough he sees the Kraang as a sort of father figure. But worrying about what his brothers would think he never mentioned it. Feeling too tired to deal with his emotions, Sandro curled into a ball on his bed with the plush pushed against his chest, breathing slowly as he thought about that month. The coldness of the dimension but the warmth that the Kraang offered him. Sandro wished they had a heater or a fireplace but the dimension was an empty void filled with rocks.

“Wait…” Sandro said aloud “If Donnie and Leo used a portal to get me back does that mean Donnie still has that machine somewhere.” “Could I see Kraang again?!”

He felt hopeful in a way he hadn't felt in a long time, quickly jumping up from his bed he beelined it for Donnie's lab. Trying yet failing to open it, right Donnie had a lock and password on it.

“No matter, I'll just ask April for the password,” Sandro said, whipping out his phone and opening April's contact.

Wagadooey: Hey Aprilllll, you think you can tell me something?

QUEEN: Depends on what it is Sandy

Wagadooey: Wellllllllll I need Dons' password to his lab for no reason whatsoever

QUEEN: And what's that nonexistent reason?

Shit I need to think up a lie

Wagadooey: Well he hogged the last pizza slice in there and it has MY NAME ON IT

QUEEN: Y'know what I know that’s a lie but whatever just dont tell him I told you got it?

Wagadooey: Yes yes you’re terrifying, now tell me

QUEEN: 9273-339921039384

Wagadooey: Damn how do you remember that

QUEEN: I remember a lot now I need to go give mayhem a bath and have fun with whatever you're doing!<3

Wagadooey: Thanks April! Good luck with mayhem! <3

I got it!

Pressing the password into the keyboard while looking over and over the back at the text to make sure he didn't mess it up the metal doors slid open with a hiss. He walked into the room with soft purple LED lights overhead. Everything was cleaned surprisingly so it shouldn't be that hard to find it.

SANDRO POV

I forgot how cool it looked in here, granted Donnie barely even lets me step foot in. But let's remember that we are here for the portal! Walking around I try my hardest to not get caught up with all the shiny things but look for the portal that brought me home. There's a pile of stuff in the corner and there's a decently tall object under a drape, wide enough to be a portal. I make my way over to it. Digging through the mess that was around it I pulled the drape off a lord and behold there it is the same mechanical portal he saw when he was pulled out of the prison dimension. All gray but with purple accents and a keypad next to it.

Alright, all I need to do is figure out how to turn it on.
