Sunghoon was awoken by the rays of sunshine coming through the window. He had forgotten to close the curtains before going to sleep. In his defense he was distracted by a certain fox eyed boy, one who was not lying next to him when he woke up.
Sunghoon had made sure to tell him he could stay the night because his parents would be out for the weekend. So why was he gone? Sunghoon made sure to check the bathrooms, kitchen, and even his parents room, but his best friend was no where to be found. He checked his phone, looking for a message from Sunoo explaining his disappearance. He was met with no notifications. Sunghoon decided to let it go, something probably came up that made him leave. He sent him a quick good morning text and went in with his day.
Sunghoon's original plan was to go out to breakfast or brunch with sunoo once he woke up, but he hadn't even replied to his message yet. He ended up shooting a text to the his other best friends.

JK: did sunoo have something better to do
SH: shut up I'm inviting you. You going or not?
JK: I'm jp. I'll go
SH: I was thinking the tteobokki place in front of the school
JY: K I'll meet you guys there.

The three friends sat in the restaurant waiting for their food to be ready. It was quite noticiable that sunghoon was not in the best mood and Jake somehow managed to make it worse.
"Where's Sunoo?" He asked "I thought he went home with you yesterday after school." Sunghoon just sighed, not wanting to have to tell them sunoo had left without telling him. "He did" is all sunghoon said. "So why isn't he here instead of us?" asked Jay. "He left before I woke up." explained sunghoon. Jake decided to pry further "does he usually do that?" Sunghoon shook his head "only when something important happens and he always leaves me note or texts me to tell me he's leaving." Jake nodded "maybe something came up and he just forgot to tell you." Sunghoon shook his head "he didn't forget to tell me" he said "I sent him a good morning text and he left me on read." Jay spoke up for the first time in a while "damn that sucks. Maybe he's getting sick of you." Sunghoon groaned "maybe he is. Either that or he's mad at me and I don't know which one I prefer." Sunghoon was put out of his misery when their order number was called. Jake stood up to go get the food, giving sunghoon a comforting head pat before going towards the counter.

Some may call him dramatic but sunghoon was not able to sleep that night. He kept tossing and turning trying to figure out what he did wrong. Eventually the sun began to rise and sunghoon had not gotten any sleep. He took a quick shower and went to school in his wrinkly school uniform.
He arrived right before the bell rang and settled in his seat. Jay looked in his direction and immediately had to hold back a laugh. "Dude why do you look like that, did you and Sunoo have a quickie in the bathroom or something." Sunghoon groaned "stop talking about him you're stressing me out more." Jake eventually joined the conversation "I'm sure you'll be fine" he said "he's probably just being petty again, he'll get over it soon." Their conversation ended there since their teacher began his lesson.

Like most people, lunch was Sunghoon's favorite part of the day. He got to see his friends from other classes. He got to see Sunoo. Just like every other day he excitedly went to the cafeteria with Jay and Jake. They got their lunch trays and went to sit down. Heeseung was already at the table when they arrived. They were just waiting on the three youngest to arrive. When they did Sunghoon smiled at sunoo. The latter just rolled his eyes and went to sit on the opposite end of the table leaving everyone confused. He sat next to jungwon and across from Riki. Heeseung was the most confused out of all of them. "Did you guys fight?" He asked. Sunoo rolled his eyes again and left, his lunch untouched. Sunghoon immediately rushed after him, trying to fix this issue as soon as possible.
He followed him until he caught up with Sunoo. He grabbed his wrist which only served to make sunoo even more mad as he yanked his hand away and muttered an angry "get away from me." Sunghoon grabbed his hand again and dragged him into the bathroom and then into an empty stall. It wasn't the most private place to talk but they had done worse in this stall. "Sunoo look at me" said sunghoon. Sunoo kept his head down, shaking it silently. "Sunoo-" "what" he was cut off by his friend "what do you want sunghoon?!" Sunghoon looked into his eyes, noticing the tears forming.
Sunoo was so pretty when he cried. Sunghoon loved to see his tear stained cheeks. Whether his tears were caused by the drama he was watching or by him during the nights they'd spent together. Right now, he was thinking the same thing but he made the mistake of saying it out loud. "You're pretty when you cry" he said before he realized what he was doing. "Oh my fucking god Sunghoon!" Sunoo screamed walking towards the stall door. Sunghoon was faster and blocked his way. Sunoo looked up at the slightly taller boy "let me fucking leave." Sunghoon shook his head "no, not until we talk." Sunoo rolled his eyes and sunghoon was sure one day they'd inevitably get stuck at the back of his head. "Then talk" said the younger. Sunghoon attempted to grab Sunoo's hands but the latter pulled them away before he had the chance. Sunghoon sighed "Sunoo, what did I do?" He received no answer so he just continued "I'm just a stupid teenage boy, I do stupid things. Just tell me what I did so we can work through this." Sunoo just scoffed "we can't work through this so just leave me alone. Goodbye Sunghoon" and with that he left. Sunghoon stayed there not ready to hear a goodbye coming from Sunoo's mouth.

He barely got through the day and his friends had realized that sunghoon and Sunoo's talk didn't go very well. That's why sunghoon was now at jay's house with Jake and Heeseung too. They caught Heeseung up on the whole situation and now they were trying to comfort a distressed sunghoon.
"I don't know what I did?" Sunghoon whined into a pillow. "Just think about what you could've done to make him mad" Jake said as if it was that simple. "Think back to the night before he left you. Did you do something or say something to make him mad?" Sunghoon thought back to that night and his face was painted red. All he saw was Sunoo. He remembered how his waist felt in his hands and how he tasted in his mouth. He shook those thoughts out of his head and simply answered "no, nothing I remember"
Jake then said the only smart thing that had ever come out of his mouth "why doesn't Jay ask jungwon?" Sunghoon shot up, immediately looking at Jay with pleading eyes "yes Jay, please" . Jay looked at him unamused "why would I bother my boyfriend with your love life issues." Sunghoon pouted "because he's Sunoo's soulmate, if anyone knows what's wrong it's him." Jay rolled his eyes and sighed "fine but if he doesn't want to talk I'm not prying." Sunghoon jumped up to hug Jay repeating 'thank you' until Heeseung pulled him off of Jay.

Sunoo knew he was petty and dramatic. In this situation he thought he was being neither of those things. He knew it was a bad idea to sleep with one of his closest friends but he did it anyways. It broke his heart when Sunghoon didn't ask him to be his boyfriend. Yet he continued to sleep with him because he was addicted to it. He had Sunghoon once and he couldn't stop.
It was a Friday after school. He went back to Sunghoon's house because his parents would be gone for the weekend and they wanted to play Sunghoon's new video game. And they did, until they got distracted by each others lips. It was when Sunghoon kissed him that he realized he was in love with his best friend. It was when Sunghoon began to undress him that he realized his best friend was not in love with him.
Sunghoon had confirmed that later that night.
So sunoo left. In the middle of the night when Sunghoon was sleeping he left him. He knew he couldn't deal with seeing Sunghoon anymore and he knew that the only way to get over him was to ignore him. So when he got the good morning text that day, his heart warmed, but he knew that he needed to get over him so he left him on read.
Seeing Sunghoon during lunch was one of the hardest things Sunoo ever had to deal with. He felt his heartbeat quicken. When Sunghoon smiled at him he suddenly got angry. How could he act like that when Sunoo had ignored him all weekend? He went to sit on the other end of the table in hopes of having a peaceful lunch. But a boy can only dream. When his hyung asked him if they had fought, he decided he did not have the emotional capacity to deal with this today. So he left.
He came out of the bathroom in tears after sunghoon had kidnapped him and tried to talk to him. Jungwon obviously noticed his friends red eyes and wet cheeks. All he could do was give him a comforting hug and offer to have him over after school. Jungwon knew he could figure out what was wrong, because no matter how hard he tries, Sunoo will always end up telling him everything.

Jungwon sat on his bed, sunoo spread out like a starfish next to him. "What's wrong?" Jungwon asked. He'd been trying to talk to sunoo since they got home, but the older just kept whining and turning away. Jungwon finally got annoyed. The thing about jungwon, he's evil. He will use any measure necessary to get what he wants. And right now he wants his friends to make up. He turned Sunoo's face towards him "you either tell me what's wrong, or I call Sunghoon over here, lock you two in this room, and wait for you to make up." Sunoo's eyes widened at this and he quickly sat up. "No, no I'll tell you." Jungwon nodded, "go on." And Sunoo told him everything.
He told him about his crush on Sunghoon and how happy he'd been when they finally slept together. He also told him how sad he'd been when they hadn't started dating and about Friday and why he left. Jungwon took all the information in, trying to think of how to help his friend.
They talked for a while longer when jungwon thought of the perfect solution. "Look Sunoo" he said "I know it's hard but, if Sunghoon doesn't love you, you can't force him too. Now I hope you guys can still stay friends but what you need to do is get over him." Sunoo nodded, acknowledging what his friend said. "Yeah you're right" he said "but how do I get over someone I've loved for years." Jungwon grabbed his hands "it won't be easy, but I know where you could start. There's a party this Friday, just try and have fun. It'll help you forget about him."

Jay was on his bed, jungwon cuddling into him. He really didn't want to ruin the moment by talking about his friends live problems but he had promised to help, and honestly, he was getting tired of forcing sunghoon to shower. He tapped his boyfriends head and jungwon looked up at him. "Yes?" He asked. Jay sighed "you've noticed that sunghoon and Sunoo have been different, right?" Jungwon nodded "yes, why?" Jay continued "well Sunghoon is not in the best state right now and he was wondering if you knew what he did to make sunoo mad" jungwon grabbed jay's hand "I do" he said "but I can't tell you" Jay nodded "ok, I told him I wouldn't push you to tell me." Jungwon hugged his boyfriend "you're the best" he said into his shoulder "and don't worry, I'm fixing it. Give me a week and they'll be back to normal, or if my plan works as well as I hope it does, they'll be better." Jay laughed "I love you my little mastermind" jungwon smiled "love you too."

The rest of the week was filled with tension. No one knew what sunoo and sunghoon's relationship was except their friends. So to the rest of the school it looked like they'd broken up. Due to their popularity, their 'breakup' was the talk of the school.
Sunoo tried his best to sit through lunch. He engaged in conversations with his other friends but he still sat as far away from sunghoon as possible. Sunghoon had stopped trying to talk to him after he had stormed out of the bathroom that day. He did offer to walk sunoo to class like they'd done before. But sunoo politely declined.
Sunghoon couldn't do anything but cry to his friends over the phone every night. All they could do was tell him he'd be alright, but they didn't even believe that themselves.

It was Friday after school. It'd been a week since everything happened and sunghoon had gone home straight after school to lay down in his bed. His parents had noticed that he wasn't feeling well, but when they asked him what was wrong he just said he was stressed with school.
Jay had come to his house to drag him to the party because ,according to jungwon, sunghoon had to be there for the plan to succeed. Sunghoon's parents had let him in cause they knew being with friends would help sunghoon feel better.
When Jay arrived at sunghoon's room he was met with Sunghoon lying on his bed with his school uniform still on. Jay sighed "sunghoon get up, we're going to a party." Sunghoon shook his head "I'm not going" Jay grabbed him by the arms to try and pull him out of bed but he didn't succeed. "Come on" Jay said "you'll have fun. Maybe it'll get your mind off of everything." Sunghoon rolled over "no." Jay knew he'd have to go to hell and back to convince Sunghoon to go but he was willing to do that, for the sake of humanity.

Jay doesn't know how he did it but he got Sunghoon out of bed and got him to shower. He even got him to wear jeans. Sunghoon wore a white t-shirt tucked into black jeans paired with some big ass converse. They walked into the party and went straight into the kitchen to mix themselves some drinks. Sunghoon went straight for the hard liquor, he really didn't want to deal with his thoughts today. Jay had left him already, probably for jungwon. A few weeks ago sunghoon would've been with Sunoo right now, dancing or in some random bedroom, but now he didn't know what to do. But thinking of sunoo was the opposite of what he came here for. He went to go find something to do or maybe meet up with one of his friends. He did find them, but Jake was high out of his mind and Heeseung was making sure Riki didn't drink too much. He decided to go on the dance floor with his drink in hand. He felt hands roaming up his body but he paid no mind to them. He danced with different people not knowing who any of them were and imagining all of them were his best friend. He snapped out of his thoughts when a girl got a little too close to him, feeling up his thighs with a smirk on her face. "I'm gay" Sunghoon said immediately. He was sure everyone already knew but he wanted to make sure she knew. She rolled her eyes "doesn't matter" she said in a fake high pitched voice. She grabbed his arm and tried to pull him into a room. He finally used his strength to pull back and push her off. "I'm gay! and there's only one person here who I'd go into a room with, it's not you" he said as he left to find that one person. He hadn't tried to talk to him after how their last talk went, but at this moment, all he wanted was to be in his arms. He went to the kitchen for another shot before going to look for Sunoo. He assumed that if he could find jungwon or Jay, sunoo wouldn't be far behind. He did find jungwon and Jay, but they were making out in a corner and Sunoo was nowhere in sight. He paced around the house trying desperately to find his best friend. A hand on his shoulder made him turn around "Hey man why are you so worked up?" It was a guy from his grade, taehyun he thinks. "I'm looking for Sunoo" he said, hoping the guy could help. "That Sunoo?" asked taehyun, pointing towards the doors that led to the backyard. And it was. There was his sunoo. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a black unbuttoned button up over it. He had tight ripped jeans that hugged his thighs so perfectly and he was wearing black boots. Then sunghoons eyes shifted to the person next to him. Jaemin. Jaemin had always expressed his attraction for Sunoo but never acted on it because he thought Sunghoon was his boyfriend. And sunghoon wasn't complaining about that. Seeing another guy run his hands through Sunoo's hair made sunghoon angry like he had never been before. He thought nothing could get worse than this until sunoo and Jaemin made their way out of the party. Probably to go back to Jaemin's house. Sunoo locked eyes with sunghoon and his smile dropped, but he didn't stop. He walked out with Jaemin leaving sunghoon alone. And sunghoon thought maybe everyone was right. Maybe it wasn't worth it. Maybe sunoo would never want him like before. - Sunghoon had no memory of making it back to his house, maybe because he didn't. He took on his surroundings and finally realized he was at Jay's house. He was in a large guest room, plainly decorated with only some plants and a night stand. He got out of bed when a wave of nausea hit him. He ran to the bathroom and barely made it before throwing up whatever was in his stomach into the toilet. Jay must've heard him because he was standing at the bathroom doorway a few seconds later. He kneeled down to rub Sunghoon's back while he emptied out his stomach. "Oh sunghoon" Jay said, pain evident in his voice. Sunghoon finished and started crying. "Jay I don't know what to do without him" he sobbed. "I don't know what to do without him" he repeated. Jay held him in his arms "it's going to be okay, you'll be okay." - Sunghoon had fallen asleep again. This time Jay was sitting next to him on the bed when he woke up. Sunghoon sat up too. Jay finally realized that he was awake. "How are you feeling?" Jay asked. "Like shit" sunghoon answered honestly. "Wanna talk about it?" Sunghoon contemplated before answering "not really" he said "but I need to." Jay simply looked at him, as if waiting for him to start. "I think I love him, like I think I'm in love with him" sunghoon said. Jay chuckled which made sunghoon snap his head towards him. He had just revealed his newly discovered feelings and his friend was LAUGHING. "Took you long enough to figure that out" said Jay. Sunghoon ended up softly laughing with his friend "yeah I probably should've known when he was my gay awakening at ten years old." Jay nodded and asked "so what are you gonna do about it?" Sunghoon looked at him with a hint of sadness in his eyes "there's nothing I can do" he said "he doesn't love me back. We were just fucking, that's it." Jay sighed "so what hoon? If you love him tell him, or you'll regret it forever." Sunghoon just nodded, quickly wiping his tears. "I'll go see him right now." Jay held him back before he could leave "whoa, you should probably shower first" he said "I love you bro I really do, but you smell like puke and alcohol." Sunghoon grabbed his shirt to smell himself and almost puked again on the spot "you're right" he said before heading to the bathroom. - He was there. He was actually parked in front of Sunoo's house about to confess his feelings for him. He gathered all the courage he had and got out of his car, nervously walking towards the door. Sunoo's mom opened the door and looked surprised to see sunghoon there. She smiled at him "hey darling" she said pulling sunghoon into a hug "I haven't seen you around much." Sunghoon tensed at her comment but simply answered that he had been too busy to come over. She welcomed him in and let him go up to Sunoo's room. Sunghoon got nervous again as he knocked on Sunoo's room door. He heard footsteps approaching and finally saw his best friend's face when the door opened. They both stood frozen in their place. Sunoo never would've expected sunghoon to come to his house. Sunghoon cleared his throat "can I come in?" He asked. Sunoo was still frozen but he seemed to be contemplating whether or not to slam the door in his face. Sunghoon tried again "sunoo, please let me in. I need to talk to you." Sunoo finally moved out of the way for him to walk in. Sunoo went straight to his bed while sunghoon pulled out the computer chair. "Go ahead" sunoo said coldly "talk." Sunghoon swallowed hard and took a deep breath. "Look sunoo" he started "I don't know when it happened. It could've been recently or the first time we slept together. Or maybe it was some random day we spent together. It could've even been the day I found out I liked boys, because I knew that I liked you and not in a very platonic way. It doesn't matter when but I know I like you. No, I love you sunoo. I wouldn't have been depressed in my room for a week because you didn't talk to me if I didn't love you. I wouldn't have cried my eyes out to Jay this morning if I didn't love you. And I wouldn't be here telling you all this if I didn't love you. It wouldn't have hurt so much to see you leave with Jaemin if I didn't love you. And it wouldn't make my heart hurt so much just thinking about how you were his last night and not mine. It wouldn't hurt this much if I didn't love you. And I'm not moving on, even if you did. Even if you went home with him and touched him the same way you touched me, I'm not moving on. Because I can never love someone the way I love you sunoo." Sunoo stared at him in shock and sunghoon waited anxiously for him to say something. Sunoo finally did "I didn't go home with Jaemin last night." He said. Sunghoon looked up at him surprised waiting for him to continue. "I got in his car and asked him to take me home. When he asked me why I told him that it was because I was madly in love with my best friend and that no matter how hard I tried to move on, I realized it was impossible." Sunghoon saw his vision getting blurry with tears "I'm your best friend right?" he asked "you're in love with me?" Sunoo chuckled "yes Sunghoon, I'm in love with you." He pulled him into a kiss and when their lips met sunghoon felt all his worries melt away. "That's why i was so mad" sunoo said after breaking away from the kiss. "What?" Sunghoon asked confused. Sunoo blushed a bit "on Friday I told you that I loved you, and all you said was 'sunoo you're so sexy.'" Sunghoon widened his eyes in shock. "Really sunoo?!" He said "you know I can't think straight when I'm inside of you." Sunoo chuckled "obviously" he said "it's not very straight to fuck your male friend." Sunghoon laughed into Sunoo's shoulder "god we suck at communication." Sunoo chuckled "yeah we really do." Sunghoon sat up straight grabbing Sunoo's hands in his "so let's stop that. Starting today. Sunoo, will you be my boyfriend." Sunoo jumped on him and pulled him into a hug "of course, you don't know how long I've waited for you to say that." Sunghoon held sunoo closer never wanting to let go. - Sunghoon and Sunoo laid panting on Sunoo's bed. The second Sunoo's parents had said they were leaving for dinner, sunghoon and Sunoo pounced on eachother. You can't blame them, they'd been sex starved for a week. They were both tired and fighting off sleep. "I'm so lucky" sunghoon said. Sunoo chuckled "why?" Sunghoon pulled sunoo closer into his chest and pecked his nose "because THE Kim Sunoo is my boyfriend." Sunoo laughed at that "I'm nothing special." Sunghoon scoffed "of course you are sunoo. No boy or girl in this world could ever be more special than you" he hugged him tighter as they gave in to sleep. "sunoo, nobody compares to you"
