Work Text:
Willow and the Fox
By Fictional
There was once a beautiful lady who lived in a castle in the woods. Her deep brown hair matched the hue of her eyes, and she lived a comfortable life, with all she needed. The people of the area knew her as the lady Willow, and she was renowned for her artistry. It was said that her art brought the amazing to life. And while her castle was small, it too was a splendid work, crafted through her artistry.
Sometimes, the day would bring its challenges. Monsters would seek to destroy Willow’s castle and the work she had created. Often they took the form of great beasts, dragons, and the like. Even nature itself would seek to destroy with gusts of wind and bolts of thunder. But other times, these monsters took the forms of men, whose character made them indistinguishable from the monsters. Whether it be for fame, or wealth, or to keep Willow from her work, these monsters would seek a means to destroy Willow and her home, to take away her sanctuary.
But every time, there stood in the way of these adversities, a fox with many tails. The fox stood at the edge of her castle, enjoying her companionship, while she too enjoyed its company. Thanks to its many tails, the fox possessed many talents. It had a sharp mind, soft fur, social prowess, and even a bit of magic. It used these talents to protect the lady Willow from all the monsters, for it cared deeply for her and wished to see no harm befall her.
In times of sorrow, and in times of joy, Willow and the fox would be there for the other. Willow had her art, the fox had its tails. And they both had each other’s company. And so they lived, sometimes happily, sometimes sadly, but always contentedly, ever after.
