Summary
Alternative ending to the mission where Phoenix and Bob go down instead of Maverick and Rooster. Except they fair much, much worse than you can imagine. Stranded in enemy territory and nothing to do but rely on each other. To Maverick, he has to watch Goose's death all over again, and this time he can't do a thing about it. To Rooster, everything is falling apart around him like it did thirty years ago.
