Chapter Text
Leaves crunched under the blonde’s feet as he wandered through the forest. All shades of orange covered the trees and the floor. He stayed on the light brown path admiring the surroundings. He couldn’t remember when he entered the forest, his mind was covered with fog as he attempted to think how long he’d been here. The trees were tall and thick making every turn seem the same.
The blonde knew he should be worried, he was lost and didn’t know for how long. He couldn’t bring himself to it. His brain felt so clouded all he could do was admire the beauty around him. He smoothed his hands against the bark finding comfort in the texture.
Thoughts of leaving kept getting chased away by a pull on his heart to move deeper into the forest. The farther he walked the more it pulled against him, his mind was fading at this point.
He looked up at the sky, it had the same shade of blue his eyes had. He inhaled and shut his eyes. Wind whispered in his ears and brushed through his hair and clothes. His legs began moving forward again, faster then before. He smiled as he heard crows cawing in the distance. The sounds echoed through his blurred thoughts.
He stopped and stared off at a cave a little ways off the path. Sounds came from inside, it sounded to be a bear sleeping. Along with the crows, that sound began echoing through him. The sounds should be overwhelming, he should be panicked, he should want to go home, but the man could barely pull together a single thought.
He kept wandering, he heard water rushing down a stream, it joined the sounds as it echoed through his body. Every sound he heard rippled through him. It felt like the forest was sinking into him. The trees felt less towering and more welcoming, some animals stop growling at him and left him alone.
He broke off from the path.
He felt himself be pulled towards a lake side. He stepped forward, some fish swam up to the surface as If as a welcome. He knelt down towards the water, the fish stared unmoving.
The blonde knew he should be reacting. He slammed his eyes tight. He struggled against the fog in his mind. He attempted to push it back. He knew he should react, he needed to react, this was all too strange to dismiss. He fought, eyes closed and nails stabbing into his skin, he needed to wake up and go home. Opening his eyes he stood up. He turned and walked from the lake. He lost.
The fog in his mind suggested the idea of his sons being here. He smiled, Wilbur would love the surroundings and the lake, Tommy would be overjoyed to run around without issue, Techno would fish and enjoy hunting.
The man turned and sat in a patch of grass far from any path. He stared up into the clear sky, a dazed smile was spread across his face.
The wind whispered silent welcomes into his ears.
All the echoing through his body turned to screeches, the clear sky turned clouded and stormy, the earth shook the trees. Leaves blew every way as the once calm wind whipped through him. The blonde put his hands over his ears, the echoing inside him combined with the thundering weather gave him a splitting head ache. He closed his eyes tight, the world felt like it collapsed around him, he sat in terror not moving an inch.
Then, it all vanished. He opened his eyes and looked around. The trees were some how taller and green. The orange leaves had completely vanished along with any sign of a path. The blonde stood up slowly and glanced around. The trees were a completely different kind from before. He scanned up a tree, he gasped as his eyes landed on the sky. It was like staring directly into a galaxy. Sky painted in shades he never seen before.
He looked around in awe as he saw animals that he’d only heard of in books sprint around the mossy floor. He spun around taking in the sights of this mysterious place. He stoped, seeing a strange opening, green vines covered the entrance. His mind became muddled again, stepping forward he pushed back the vines.
It was an opening from the towering trees, a small cabin was tucked into the corner, flowers of all shades surrounded a stream that slit the area in two. A red bridge law across the stream. His eyes followed the stream, he smiled once he saw the large lake not to far off from the cabin. It shimmered like a thousand gem stones, with beautiful coral resting inside. He turned the other way and saw a training area.
The area had dummy’s with targets over them. Near them was a wrack full of ancient weapons. All the weapons glowed with a purple shimmer begging to be used. There was a garden near the back of the cabin that held potatoes along with a few other things he couldn’t tell from afar.
The small adventurer part of Phil forced him forward. Joy filled him as he gazed at the new world. He managed to pull together one thought through the fog.
“Staying here for a little bit wouldn’t hurt.”
Phil’s been missing for two weeks.
