Isn't He Just Adorable?

Summary:

The black cat stops cleaning its fur, lowering its head and licking between the kitten's ears before headbutting it. Kristen has pulled her phone out by this point and is taking photos. The kitten jumps, just barely, and the black cat huffs, swatting at it until it falls onto its side again, earning an indignant meow.

It picks the kitten up, walking over to deposit the tabby at Kristen's feet before going back to where it had just been sitting, resuming cleaning its fur.

The kitten meows loudly at the cat, probably unhappy, but is ignored.

Kristen offers out her hand again, and the attention returns to her.

Or; Wilbur essentially goes "Look at my kid, isn't he adorable?". Kristen doesn't know the cats are Tommy and Wilbur, she just thinks they're random cats who somehow got inside.

Notes:

The end scene is just because I needed there to be more affection in this. That's the only reason.

⁕*⁕*⁕ is a scene change,

- is a perspective change.

Enjoy!

Work Text:

Kristen looks up from her book when small footsteps aproach her.

A cat, holding another cat, comes up to her. Which is odd, because they don't own any cats, she hasn't seen any cats around, and their doors and windows are all closed.

The black cat, carrying a much smaller ginger kitten, stops about a foot away from her. It stares up at her, then sits and puts the kitten down, nudging it. The kitten meows, high pitched and adorable, as it stumbles away from the elder. Kristen puts her book down, reaching her hand out wearily. The black cat is unfazed, lifting a paw and starting to clean it.

Kristen lets the orange kitten sniff at her hand before smooging it, purring.

She smiles, scratching behind the kitten's ear. The black cat just observes this, uncaring. The kitten purrs louder, pushing its head into her hand.

It flops onto the ground, laying down on its side and meowing. Kristen chuckles, leaning down further and patting it. The black cat moves on to cleaning its ears, remaining unfazed even as the kitten, that it seems to have stolen, keeps meowing.

Eventually, the kitten pulls itself up, stumbling over and meowing up at the black cat.

The kitten meows loudly at the cat, probably unhappy, but is ignored.

Kristen offers out her hand again, and the attention returns to her. The kitten meows up at her, and she pats it. The kitten starts purring again, leaning into her hand and almost falling right back over. She rights it, chuckling.

"Well aren't you just adorable?" She asks, despite there being no one to answer, and the kitten meows loudly up at her. She smiles.

The black cat just watches them, tail swaying leisurely behind itself. Kristen goes to pick up the ginger kitten, and the black cat stands, hissing. She pulls her hands away, holding them up. The cat stares at her for a moment, tail swishing unhappily, then slowly sits back down. The kitten meows at the elder cat, hitting the ground with its tail. The elder's eyes move to the younger, still staring.

Kristen takes a picture of it.

Huffing, the black cat stands and stalks over. It looks up at her, so Kristen reaches down and offers her hand once more. Her hand is sniffed as the kitten presses its head into the elder cat's chest, and she gets to pat the other cat.

Only once, though, as the cat picks the kitten back up by the scruff of the neck and dissapears from her line of sight.

"You didn't have to hiss at her." Tommy mumbles, digging his hands into Wilbur's sweater. "She was going to pick you up." Wilbur huffs, indignant, pulling Tommy further into his chest. "You pick me up all the time." Tommy points out, pulling his head back to look up at Wilbur, who tuts and pushes Tommy's head back under his chin.

"It's different. You're mine." Wilbur grumbles, tangling his legs with Tommy's.

Tommy rolls his eyes before closing them, burrying the lower half of his face in the neckline of Wilbur's sweater, earning a pleased hum and the arms around him tightening. "You're a possessive bastard." Tommy sighs, muffled by the fabric his face is still pressed into.

"Mine." Is all Wibur can offer.

"Stop wriggling." Wilbur whines, trying to pull Tommy back into his arms. It's morning now, sunlight streaming in through the open curtains, and Tommy wants to do something.

"No! I'm bored." Tommy complains, going limp when Wilbur drags him closer, tucking the teen back under his chin, where he had woken up. "Mine." Wilbur growls, just as he did a few hours prior. Tommy rolls his eyes.

"My baby." Wilbur hums softly, rubbing his back. "Dad-" Tommy huffs, and Wilbur tightens his hold. "Mine. My baby, my darling, my love." Wilbur giggles, pulling back just enough to scatter kisses across Tommy's face. "Wil!" Tommy whines, renewing his struggle.

Wilbur doesn't listen, continuing to pepper Tommy's face with kisses, ignoring his shrieks.

Eventually, Tommy gives up again, huffing loudly.

Wilbur grins, pressing slightly less forceful kisses across his cheeks and over his nose. "You're evil." Tommy grumbles, closing his eyes when Wilbur burries a hand in his hair, kissing him on the forehead and staying there. "Keep telling yourself that, dear."

Notes:

MY ITALICS ARE WORKING AGAIN!! I think they might just not like my longer works.

Here you go, have more Kristen content. Kristen is the best :)

The cat crimeboys has gotten to me. The brainrot is almost as strong as the regular dadbur brainrot.

They're staying at Kristen and Phil's for a multi-day vlog, if you're wondering how they got in with all the windows and doors closed.

Wilbur does eventually let go of Tommy, but not without absolutely smothering him with affection because he's, as Tommy would put it, "A sappy bastard."

Constructive criticism is welcome, and feel free to point out any errors!

Stay hydrated, eat something if you can, stay safe. I love you guys. <3 /p
