Chapter Text
When he laid eyes on him, he knew why he was labeled Light of Kshahrewar. He heard rumors of his unparalleled beauty, but it was nothing in person.
When he did get to know Kaveh, his eagerness to learn was more genuine than most scholars in the Akademiya. Yet humbled enough to admit if he is wrong. He was clumsy and always procrastinating but his skills are not to be underestimated.
So when he heard that the architect needed housing, he knew he had to make haste. Sure, he was a bit disillusioned when he came to know Kaveh had a nasty temper, but Kaveh was like an open book.
Kaveh doesn't hesitate to speak his truth. Who thinks the best in everyone, who shines everywhere he goes. Even his poor qualities were a plus in Alhaitham’s eyes.
He's not sure when his feelings turned into something else, all he knew was that there was no one else like Kaveh. His ethereal sunset.
///
It was Alhaitham who suggested they get into a relationship. When he didn’t hear a response from Kaveh, he assumed it was over. But to his surprise, Kaveh smiled. The same one that caused this fool to fall for such an annoying man.
“I am yours as you are mine.” It was breathtaking. A declaration of one’s love, a drug to Alhaitham’s veins.
///
Alhaitham thought their relationship was strong, even after 5 years. But it seems there was something he missed. Why did Kaveh abruptly leave without coming back? It’s been a week and no news of Kaveh.
Kaveh always comes back when he cools down, so now he must wait, in his estate, praying, begging to his archon that Kaveh would come back.
He couldn't help but laugh, he truly is a lovesick fool.
He can't leave the house, when Kaveh returns, who will be there to greet him back? But it has been 2 weeks, and his patience is running thin.
That was when he heard a knock. His heart was racing, but to his dismay, it was Cyno.
Cyno barges in, much to the scribe's displeasure. Without a waste, “Kaveh is with Nari”
After hearing that, all his fears went away. Kaveh is safe. “What happened?” They were bickering like usual when Kaveh ran out in tears. But Alhaitham was being honest, just like he always had.
With a sigh, Cyno seems to already know the answer. “Alhaitham, if you don’t see what you have done, then there is nothing more to say”
…Oh... Did what he did really that bad?
