Chapter Text

Yuu hasn't always been a coffee person. Actually, he had never been one to hang out at coffee shops in general. So why did he find himself stalking some waiter at this quiet little coffee shop? He had been hanging around this place for quite some time now, but it was only to watch over the blonde haired boy that was working there. Something about the other, made Yuu feel content yet cheerful inside. How did he even get into stalking this man?

About a week or so ago, Yuu and his friends, Shinoa, Kimizuki, Mitsuba, and Yoichi, decided to go out and have a day of fun. They then went ahead and visited the amusement park and went shopping as well and as a result, they were all quite tired. When they had been walking, Yuu looked up from the sidewalk, seeing a blonde haired boy, with his hair put up in a ponytail, and wore a white dress shirt, with a fancy, black vest, that hugged his chest. He was putting out a sign right in front of a coffee shop. Yuu could feel his heart rate pick up. The sight of this boy made his heart practically jump out of his chest.
“Yuu-kun? Are you alright?” Yoichi asked, blinking up at him. The others, were all looking at Yuu. The black haired boy didn’t even notice that he stopped walking in his tracks and was obviously looking a the man that stood by the sign, who was wiping the sweat of his forehead. Yuu couldn’t say anything and couldn’t think of a good enough excuse to say why he was staring at the blonde haired boy.
Shinoa let out a giggle and she narrowed her eyes at Yuu. “I think Yuu-san would like to stop by that coffee shop over there. He seems quite…thirsty.” Yuu immediately jumped up in his spot. His eyes darted to look directly at Shinoa, his face completely flushed. Yuu couldn’t disagree with the thought of wanting to head over to the coffee shop.
“Sh-shut up, Shinoa! C’mon guys, let’s go over there just to get coffee.” Yuu hissed, starting to storm off.
“But I thought you hated coffee, Yuu.” Kimizuki noted. Yuu gave out a huge groan and gave a glare to all of them.
“Then I’ll just get some damn tea!” Yuu exclaimed, starting to make his way over to the coffee shop. He heard the others snicker at him, but he ignored their laughs. He just wanted to see that boy again.
Yuu slowly opened the door to the small coffee shop and entered with ease as the others followed in.
As soon as they entered, they were immediately greeted by the smell of fresh made coffee. The delightful smell seemed to fill up the whole entire shop. The coffee shop looked quite cozy with the general look of the interior. The booth seats were colored with a nice, soothing, dark red cloth, which felt pleasing to the eye. The tables and chairs were all made out of dark colored wood and had perfectly fit with the feel of the shop. The lights that hung up in the ceiling had a nice dim to them and made the shop have a calming ambiance. The theme of the shop made Yuu’s mind feel relaxed and calm.
“Welcome to Blends Coffee Shop. May I get you all seated?” The blue-eyed boy reached for a few menus and held them in his hands.
“Oh, y-yes please…” Yuu stuttered. He couldn’t believe he was already becoming nervous. He then could hear Shinoa giving a slight giggle behind him and he instantly shot Shinoa a piercing glare.
“Alright, right this way please.” The blonde haired boy turned around and walked to where he’d be seating them. When he had arrived to the table, he set out the menus and took a step back so they could all get settled. Yuu took a seat closest to where Mika was standing and immediately looked right up at him.
“I’m Mika and I’ll be your server today.” Mika told the group. Yuu took a breath in.
‘Mika…such a nice name…’ Yuu thought to himself, gazing down at his hands.
“Are there any drinks you’d all like to start out with?” They all went down the line with what they wanted and then ended at Yuu. The black haired boy was silent, still thinking about how much he admired Mika’s name.
“Yuu-kun? Aren’t you going to order your drink?” Yoichi interrupted his thought and Yuu immediately looked up from his hands. A few of his friends were staring at him with confused looks, with Shinoa and Mitsuba were giving sly smirks. Yuu’s eyes widened and he looked up to Mika, who stood above him. He gave another soft smile, still holding up the notepad in hand.
“And what would you like to drink?” The white haired boy questioned. Mika’s blue hues gave Yuu a tender look. The raven haired boy immediately started to speak up and couldn’t believe that he embarrassed himself like that.
“I’ll just have green tea…” Yuu stated, in somewhat of a quiet tone. Mika finished writing the orders in his notepad and put it into his pocket.
“Alright, I’ll go get those for you guys.” Mika turned around and walked off toward the bar area, getting the drinks together.
“Looks like Yuu-san has a crush!” Yuu heard Shinoa snicker. He slammed his hand onto the table.
“No I don’t! Shut up, Shinoa!” The group gave out a few slight laughs.
“Says the one that was practically fawning over him.” Mitsuba commented, looking back at the menu. Yuu just groaned, giving up on arguing with them. They’d just tease him like crazy, which was already pushing him towards his limit.
After Mika came back with their drinks, he asked for their orders on sandwiches and other foods. They all had ordered and Mika came back quite quickly with all their food. When they had finished eating and paying the bill, they all stood up from the table and started to exit from the coffee shop.
“Goodbye! I hope you enjoyed your time here.” Mika waved his hand goodbye and gave a slight bow to them. Yuu averted his gaze from the other and gave an awkward smile.
“A-and thank you for serving us.” Yuu stuttered, glancing down at his hands. Mika’s blue eyes showed of care and he gave one last smile. “You’re welcome, sir.”
The five left the coffee shop and right as they left, Yuu gave out a heaving sigh.
“That was way too much pressure…” Yuu looked back to the coffee shop once more as they walked away.
“It’s clear that Yuu-san is going to be coming here a lot. Am I right?” Shinoa asked, tilting her head so innocently.
“Shut up already…” Yuu’s voice trailed off and then continued to focus his thoughts and the wonderful man that he had met that day.

His thoughts were broken when Mika had arrived at his table, handing him his hot tea. He was startled and jumped up slightly.
“And here you are sir, your green tea.” Yuu beamed at Mika and bowed his head.
“Thank you very much…!” Yuu thanked, taking the cup to take a sip until Yuu noticed that the boy was hesitant to leave and he set his cup back down. Mika finally spoke, saying
“I’ve noticed you’ve been coming here a lot, but I’ve never seen you once order coffee.” Yuu’s eyes brightened. Were they about to have an actual conversation? He was extremely excited.
“O-Oh, yes. I’m not a huge fan of coffee but the tea here is quite grand. I think it’s my favorite. ”At that moment, Yuu couldn’t feel any happier. He was nervous, but he felt confident when he talked to Mika.
“That’s great to hear. I actually make the coffee and tea myself, so I’m really glad to hear that.” Mika added, and then pushed the side of his hair behind his ear. Yuu looked at the cup of tea and back at Mika. He felt even happier with these news. He knew that Mika makes drinks for every customer, but felt special.
“Y-you made this? I love it!” Yuu leaned closer to Mika. “I really do, it’s delicious.” Yuu couldn’t focus on anything else at this point, just on the boy that stood right in front of him. Mika blinked at him and then gave a warm smile.
“Wow, sir…you’re making me blush a bit.” He gave out a slight laugh and blushed. Yuu returned the gesture.
‘Ah…He’s so…wonderful…’ Yuu thought to himself. The two were clearly blushing like crazy; The two didn’t know what to say to each other. After their long pause, they both decided to speak up simultaneously, but Yuu let him go ahead.
“Oh...well, I didn’t quite catch your name…” Mika’s voice trailed off and Yuu spoke up in response.
“My name is Yuuichiro! But you can go ahead and just call me Yuu.” Mika put his hand on his chin.
“Yuu, huh?” Mika began to think of a nickname for the black haired boy. “Yuu…Yuu-chan!” Mika gave a huge smirk to Yuu, as the other’s face glowed with red.
“Y-Yuu-chan?” The black haired boy didn’t know how to react to this, but all that mattered to him right then and there was the thought of him and Mika getting closer to each other.
“Here Yuu-chan, would you like to exchange phone numbers with me? I can quickly get out my phone since there doesn’t seem to be any other customers here.” Mika grinned, beginning to get out his phone. Yuu just couldn’t believe it.
“Of course, Mika!” He hauled out his phone as well and then began to exchange phone numbers with each other. As soon as they finished, Mika put down the receipt in front of Yuu and backed away a bit.
“Be sure to let me treat you to dinner some time, Yuu-chan!” Mika turned around and practically skipped away happily. Yuu took a sip of his tea. The steam coming from his drink seemed as if it was cooler than his face. He looked down onto the table and played with his soft, black hair.
‘I can’t believe it…I’m so damn happy…’ Things couldn’t have gone smoother.
