Summary
The year is 1988 and Lupe Maldonado, frontwoman of the famous glam metal band Bruja, suffers an impossible tragedy and her entire world crashes right before her very eyes. Lupe is isolated in her anguish and suffering with her friends and family all walking on eggshells around her. She surprises herself by finding a friend in none other than Nikki Sixx, the famous bassist of Mötley Crüe and once close friend of her brother, and he unexpectedly becomes a shoulder for her to cry on. Lupe once loathed the bassist but now is struggling to understand her burgeoning feelings for him. She discovers that there's many layers underneath the troubled rock star's wild exterior. But how can she have feelings for someone she used to despise so much?
