His cell was a dim place. It was hardly a cell though, more like a block of four walls with six feet of space between them, seeming more like a cramped closet. He could hear the guards' hurried footsteps pacing through the halls as they move from post to post, transferring captives or agents with them. Peter though, only cared for the heartbeat that had become a constant reassurance throughout the years. James, the only person he had left. He hadn't seen his mother in 200 years, and his sister in a hundred. He had no way of knowing if they were alive, and at this point he didn't want to be. But Peter had James, his soulmate, and for him he stayed alive in Hydra.
