Seoul and Angst

Summary:

Every character from the franchises I like / love will experience various levels of angst.

Chapter 1: Unburdened, Unbrothered.

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Monji slammed the door as he breathed heavily in frustration. His paws were still sore from his constant fisting of the table.

He had just had an argument with all of his siblings, after he had returned from the soap business at a very late time.

Bongji, who had apparently met him at the door, told him that he was a burden to them, and how he returns late at night.

Monji then retorted that he works late nights and can’t get home in time to make his siblings dinner. Audrey then cuts over Monji, telling him that she’s the one that always has to make them dinner.

But in the end, there’s a worry in the apartment that… when Monji comes home late again…

His brothers would take off their collars. The taking off of collars in a Korean sibling family would mean that the siblings of any cat born… would leave them without returning.

It’s a worry Monji always has. Even Audrey worries, although she considers leaving sometimes…

Because when they take their collars off… it’s going to break the link in Monji’s family.

Notes:

These poor characters are gonna go through a lot, but sometimes people have these feelings, and their limits, but anyone with ADHD or anything in particular should be accepted for what they are. ❤️

Chapter 2: Bongji, Really Boisterous? Or just annoying?

Summary:

Bongji wonders why he’s sometimes so loud, and energetic… but would a change REALLY help him?

Chapter Text

He sat in his room, staring at the ceiling. Bongji had ADHD, which means that he’s easily distracted, and he can be somewhat forgetful at times.

But he does love his brothers… The only thing is why he doesn’t feel like he fits in?

He feels that he’s a burden to Monji, and the others.

Maybe he’s being too hard on himself. Who cares if his antics are too much for him and his siblings? He loves them too much.

He just wants the others to be happy when he’s happy.

He’s just a Thai Siamese, who has ADHD, which is why he’s constantly so energized, and happy. He’s sometimes loud, but he keeps it to a minimum.

But sometimes… He feels like he annoys them with his boisterous energy.

And when he goes to his room, he thinks to himself why he even has ADHD.

He sometimes hates having it.

He feels like he’s the burden with it, when he knows he isn’t.

What if he didn’t?

Would everything be different if he didn’t have ADHD? Would they be happier without his energy?

What if he was more like the others, rather than a loud, boisterous individual?

It could make a difference, if he tried..

But if he got rid of it… maybe it wouldn’t be a good idea to get rid of it.

Maybe he could just… Stay as he was, a loud, energetic Siamese with ADHD.

It does make the viewers back in Korea happy, though.

Would it… make him happy?

If he stayed, or maybe changed a small thing about him?

Maybe…

It can’t hurt to try a day without the ADHD breaking into play.

It could be…

Different.

Nobody would notice his difference, would they? Surely, the difference won’t be so bad.

It wouldn’t be that much of a deal.

But…

Maybe if…

He just… changed one aspect..

He’d…

Bongji didn’t know where to go from here… And he suddenly wondered…

What he was doing in his room in the first place?

Chapter 3: Hyuji, why are you so sensitive?

Summary:

Hyuji struggles with his shyness, and his sensitivity, but sometimes… He wonders why he’s like this..

Chapter Text

Hyuji is shy, and he normally gets anxious when things get too overwhelming.

He sometimes gets nervous when he talks with anyone in particular, including his siblings. It was probably because of his personality, but he was constantly shy…

Wasn’t he?

Yes, he’s always sensitive.

He’s loveable, but he tends to get nervous around certain people.

Why, though? He seems to wonder that. His shyness may be a small flaw about Hyuji, but he didn’t seem to mind…

Unfortunately, he was beginning to think it was a major flaw.

He wanted others to care about him, but he was that sensitive… Why was he so… sensitive?

Was his sensitivity a problem?

He couldn’t think why.

Being shy isn’t a big deal, so why was it to him?

What if he just stayed inside one day all together?

And kept his shyness to himself…?

Would it do him any good?

Would it?

Or would it make him feel worse…?

He’d have to find out, wouldn’t he?

Chapter 4: Short, but sweet…?

Summary:

Yoji sometimes thinks his cuteness is a problem for others, but he tries to think why it is.

Chapter Text

Yoji is small, and he loves to interact with others, and his siblings.

For him, things are normally too high for him to reach.

He’d have to get someone to help him get it…

He sometimes gets too excited when he’s too happy. He’s cute, and he’s lovable.

Isn’t he?

Isn’t he always.. cute and loveable?

Isn’t he always cheerful?

Yes, he’s always loveable. That’s why most people love him.

For his personality.

His loving, warm..

Cute personality.

He’s gentle.

He’s sweet..

He’s also cute.

He’s loveable, but he tends to be too cute, sometimes it always seemed to...

Annoy people.

Why, though? He often seems to wonder a lot when people say his cuteness is annoying..

His cuteness may be a sweet, but small little thing about Yoji, but he didn’t seem to mind…

Unfortunately, he was beginning to think it was a major flaw.

Maybe he was too overwhelming?

Cuteness shouldn’t be a problem..

It shouldn’t be annoying…

Why did he think it annoyed others?

He wanted others to think he was cute.

Was his cuteness a problem?

Was it always because he tried to raise people’s spirits..?

He couldn’t think how, or why. He couldn’t even comprehend how he was being annoying, by being cute..

Being cute isn’t a big deal, so why was it to others who didn’t like it?

What if he just stayed inside one day all together?

And kept his cuteness to himself…?

Would it do him any good?

Would it do others any good?

Would it?

Or would it make him feel worse…? About his cuteness..?

He’d have to find out, wouldn’t he?

And see if people love him more when he’s not cute..

Chapter 5: Don’t forget about Audrey…

Summary:

Audrey’s losses in the past have made her worry too much about her siblings.. and her daughter. Sometimes, she wonders if worrying is a curse.

Chapter Text

That was the last thing she heard from her parents.

‘Don’t forget about Audrey’.

When they had a family photo.

All of that has passed.

It was all gone.

She was walking down the streets of Korea, where she had been living all those years ago.

Before she even got a spot in Monji’s apartment.

Audrey is loveable. She’s a caring, and warm person.

She loves helping others out whenever she can.

For her, things are hard for her to help.. but she still does it for their sakes.

Audrey is a gentle, and loving mother…

But when she lost everything…

She lost her mother from an illness.
She lost her newborn daughter to an illness.
She then lost her husband to a fight…

Then she lost her next husband to an illness.

And now everything was breaking apart around her.

She had lost her two children.

Aegi.

And..

Kaoseu.

Her last remaining daughter was Kkongji, who was disabled in an accident.

And she was protective over Kkongji.

She wanted to keep her safe.

She wanted to make sure Kkongji didn’t leave her. She didn’t want to be alone anymore.

She hates being alone.

Audrey hates it.

She hates the feeling of being left alone..

She hates being left behind.

She hates being…

Forgotten about.

She wishes that everything would be better for her.

She constantly finds herself awake in Monji’s apartment at 4 in the morning…

She was always waking up teary eyed.

She was always worried about being left alone.

She wished it wouldn’t happen.

She just..

Wishes for everyone to stay with her. Even if they do have to leave.

It hurts her to think about everything she lost.

Her heart still aches whenever she looks at a photo of her kittens.

Her family.

Her loving, warm..

Family.

Torn apart by an illness that killed her mother..

But deep down…

She’s caring.

…Audrey is protective.

She’s warm.

She’s sweet.

However, deep down..

She’s too protective… but she just wants to keep everyone she loves safe.

Audrey may not know it..

But she’s also one who’s aching.

…Constantly aching inside from everything she lost.

She’s constantly worried..

She overthinks too much.

Her love shouldn’t be a problem..

It shouldn’t be too overwhelming…

She just cared so much for them.

It was like a deep wound.

Audrey just wanted others to stay safe.

She just wants everyone to be safe.

She doesn’t want anyone else to sacrifice themselves for her.

A mother’s love shouldn’t do that.

For Kkongji…

She was always a warm, loving person.

Maybe if..

If she just kept her worries to herself?

Would anyone worry about her?

Maybe.. Would she worry about herself?

No.. Would Kkongji worry about her?

Would her siblings..?

Maybe her father?

Or would nobody remember her?…

Would she really be forgotten about in the end..?

Chapter 6: Too Disabled to Love

Summary:

Kkongji struggles with being the one who’s disabled, sometimes… She wonders why the car had hit her in the first place..

Chapter Text

Kkongji sat in the Onion stall, where she was working..

She was meant to be on a late night shift, but she was too tired to keep working.

Nevertheless, she still came to work.

However…

Kkongji offen worries about her disability, after being in a car accident, she was then rendered disabled.

Her family had broken apart before this, by death and break ups.

She occasionally looked up at the road where she got hit. And she often wondered… why?

Why was she disabled? Why did she get hit?

Did the driver have a reason?

No, there had to be.

A driver wouldn’t hit a cat.

Unless they were too absorbed into their phones, or whatever they were doing.

She was trying to comprehend what really happened before the accident.

The memory seemed fuzzy…

She loved her mother, Audrey, dearly.

She stayed with her when everyone else…

Disappeared from them forever.
