   Summary

   In the wealthy continental Fae Kingdom of Montesere, Princess Thea's life is carefree, spending her time indulging in every pleasure at her fingertips. Her life is turned upside down when she suddenly begins to develop powers that are stronger than her cruel older brother's, who is presumptive heir to the throne. This new revelation threatens his claim and puts her life in danger.

   She convinces her father to open diplomatic relations with The Night Court by sending her as an emissary, when in reality she intends to persuade Rhysand to teach her to hone her powers away from the prying eyes of her brother. A proposition which leads to her improving "relations" with the High Lord and Lady in more ways than one.
