Chapter Text

Harry never usually went to parties, it wasn't his thing. He was the shy kid, never around too many people and never pointed out in a crowd. So how did he get in this situation?

"Harry, 'Mione! C'mon it's time to go!" Ron called from downstairs.

"Just a moment Ron!" Hermione called, then tugged at the end of Harry's shirt.

"Hmm....I don't know? What do you think Harry?" She asks the raven haired boy she was dressing, spinning him to face the mirror that he had placed next to his bed.

"Uhm, I like it, I guess. It's just not really....me." He responded, looking himself up and down. Of course Harry was right, the clothes that Hermione had put on him looked like nothing you would ever find in his closet.

Harry had always chosen comfort over style, his closet was filled with sweatpants, hoodies and jeans. And he was fine with that.

"Ah, I'm sorry Harry. Would you rather one of your hoodies opposed to the shirt?" Hermione asked a small frown on her face. She seemed disappointed, and Harry didn't want that.

"Oh no! This is fine! I think I will bring a hoodie though just in case I get cold." Harry said softly and then turned around to walk towards his closet behind them.

"Oh, well I'm so pleased you like the outfit Harry! I'll be downstairs with Ron, just come down when you're ready to go!" She called and left the room before Harry could respond.

Harry ended up getting out his pale blue hoodie with the pink and yellow sleeves. At least even with the whole outfit change he still had a piece of clothing on him that made him feel like himself.

Harry looked back into the mirror, his hair was still the usual mess, seeing as Hermione gave up in the middle of styling it saying it "Had a mind of its own," and Harry couldn't exactly disagree.

Harry didn't know who's Black jeans Hermione had lended him for this occasion but they were a bit big in the waist. Harry grabbed a belt that was hanging over the bed's backboard and slipped it around his waist.

"That's better." He says with a small smile, adjusting his pants to sit on his waist the way he liked. When done with that he reached on top of his dresser and pulled out a singular dangling earring with a Dagger hanging from it and put it through his ear. Soon after he pulled on his hoodie and grabbed his phone running out of his bedroom door.

When he got downstairs, Hermione and Ron were sitting at his kitchen table.

"About ready to go mate?" Ron asked, standing up seeing him come down the stairs.

"Yep, just lemme get my shoes before we go."

Hermione nodded her head with a smile before she asked, "Harry, are you sure you want to come? You know Draco is going to be there."

Harry paused, Of course he knew Draco was going to be there, he had been obsessed with the boy since 7th grade. He was waiting for the day the he had enough confidence to go to a party where Draco was present so he could try and talk to him.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. Plus that was years ago, I just hope he's fine with me being there." Harry responded.

"Who wouldn't be okay with you being there?!" Ron exclaimed, leaning on Harry's shoulder with a laugh. "You look good Harry, I wouldn't be surprised if you got some tonight!"

Hermione hit Ron on his shoulder at that comment with a smile and Harry laughed slipping on his White and blue Nike's.

"Maybe." Harry said and stood up straight.

"You guys ready?"

Both Ron and Hermione nodded.

"Then lets go!"

It took around 10 minutes to get to Zabini's house where the party was held. It would've taken 5 minutes if Hermione's car was a newer model.

"Well I'm sorry that my car is old! I know I need a new one, but I don't want to just ask my parents for another one. That's rude!" Hermione exclaimed as the three walked up the driveway.

"Well it's better then being late everywhere." Ron mumbled. Hermione lightly slapped Ron on his shoulder and Harry let out a laugh. It was nice to see his friends bicker over something so small.

"Weasley, Granger!" Someone exclaimed from the doorway of the house, music blasting through the doors. "You made it! And you brought a guest!"

Harry looks up to find Blaise Zabini, the owner of the house and one of the most popular boys in school. Harry never knew that he and Ron knew each other.

"Indeed I did! Blaise Zabini meet the one and only Harry Potter." Ron said bowing dramatically as he introduced the two to each other.

"Hi..." Harry said with an awkward wave. It only took a second for Blaise to recognize the boy.

Oh shit! No way. Harry potter!" Blaise said, actually seeming to be surprised. Harry was confused, he hadn't realized anyone really knew him by name.

"It's your first time at one of my parties right? Maybe I could-"

"BLAISE!" Someone shouted from inside the house, the music was so loud it was surprising to hear someone's voice so clear over it.

"Fuck," he mumbled leaning into the house. "JUST A SECOND."

"Sorry to cut this short guys, I'll find you guys later so we can actually have a full conversation. Until then, enjoy yourselves! Beer, other beverages, and food are in the kitchen. As always all rooms upstairs but the bathroom and guest room are off limits. Have fun!" He says quickly and runs off into the loud house filled with people and music.

"That was definitely rehearsed." Harry said aloud.

"Yep! He says it almost every time we arrive." Ron said with a smile and walked in to the house. Hermione close at his heels.

"You coming, Harry?" Hermione said her brown frizzy hair falling infront of her eyes.

"Yeah, just give me a sec." He responded. Hermione shrugged and left him in the driveway.

"Alright you got this," he said to himself. "Go in. Talk to Draco. Get out. Easy peasy." Harry walked toward the door leading into the loud house.

"Please don't let go as horrible as I think it will." He mumbled to himself once more and went into the house.

The music was loud, you could feel the base thrumming through the floorboards as you made your way through the house. It was so lively as Harry walk through the crowd, couples making out on couches, people dancing with their friends and significant others. No one payed Harry any mind while he was in the living room, everyone was so focused on themselves or others that they excluded harry from their vision. He didn't mind, he was used to it. And to be honest he liked it that way. It wasn't until he got to the kitchen when he realized that he had no idea where he was going. He had lost hermione and Ron before he even got into the house. And he had no idea where Draco was and he was the main reason Harry came to the party in the first place!

"Ughhhhh," Harry groaned. He couldn't believe he had lost himself in this house.

"You okay over there?" A voice asked from behind harry. He could barely hear it over the music and chatter.

"Huh?" Harry says turning around only to come face to face with Luna Lovegood.

"Oh, Luna!" Harry says relieved, at least he found someone he knew.

"Hello Harry! What are you doing here, I've never seen you at Blaise's parties before?" She asked.

"Just uh, trying something new."

"Oh well good for you Harry!" She says picking up a beer off the counter. She turned as if ready to leave but Harry stopped her.

"Ah! Before you go, have you seen Ron or Hermione?"

"Well the last time I saw Ron he was with Blaise. I haven't seen Hermione though." She says regretfully.

"And where was Blaise and Ron?"

"The basement I believe-"

"Luna! Hurry up!" A feminine voice called from the living room crowd.

"Sorry Harry! I must go, hope you find Ron!" Luna exclaims and runs back into the living room. Her blonde curls trailing behind her.

Basement? Harry thought to himself. He didn't know Zabini had a basement. Then again what did he expect, it was a fairly large house. Harry walked out of the kitchen and back into the living room. It was more crowded than it was 30 minutes ago, and people were already drunk out of their minds. A girl that Harry didn't recognize was dancing on the table, and a group of people near the couches were playing beer pong. Everyone else was either dancing or making out. Harry grimaced, he shouldn't have come. He couldn't talk to Draco, not right now anyway it was too loud and it would be weird out of the blue he came to talk to him. Harry had to find Ron and Hermione. He had to get out of there.

When he finally found the basement it was smoky. Like really smoky, it smelt like what Harry had recognized as weed. It took a second for Harry to get down the steps leading to the basement, people were sitting on them. Some were drinking from red cups on their phone's others were in the middle of a heated make-out sesh.

As soon as Harry made it down the steps, he began to cough. They hot boxed the basement. When finished with his coughing fit Harry spotted Ron in the corner of the room talking with Blaise. Both were obviously high (Ron more than Blaise) and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Harry stood there for a moment, staring at the two. It was strange to see his best friend looking at Blaise like that. It was the same way he used to look at Hermione when they started dating.

Interesting Harry thought before Ron noticed him and called him over.

"Harry! Haha! C'mon bud!" Ron called and Blaise bursted into hysterical laughter and Ron giggled. People's heads turned to stare at the three, but quickly turned back seeing that it was nothing interesting.

"Haha, very funny Ron." Harry said, rolling his eyes playfully. And sitting down at Ron and Blaise's feet. They were sitting at the end of the couch. Blaise on the arm and Ron on the actual cushion.

"Hey, so when are you trying to leave?" Harry asked, dropping it into the conversation as subtly as possible.

"Leave? Dude we just got-"

A huge crash came from the direction of the stairs. A fast blur of platinum blond hair and leather jacket tumbled down the stairs. Harry jumped, well that was unexpected he thought as he craned his neck to see who it was. A group had surrounded the poor boy who fell down the stairs and Harry couldn't see a thing.

"Is that Draco?" Harry heard a girl say a few feet away. She was sitting on the couch next to the one he was sitting near.

"I think it is." The boy next to her said.

Draco? Harry thought as Blaise got up from the arm of the couch he was sitting on. Less than 2 seconds later Ron got up and followed him. Harry hung back for a few minutes, he was nervous. It had been years since he had confessed to Draco in middle school. He knew the blonde never wanted to see him again. After all he said it himself.

"Bloody Hell Draco, you weigh an absolute ton." Harry heard Ron groan as he walked over. His arm under Draco's shoulder as he and Blaise carried him over to where they and Harry were sitting. Harry scrambled off of the floor, his breath labored.

Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck- he thought as they drew nearer.

"Is he uh," Harry cleared his throat, "Is he okay?"

"Uh yeah, I think. He's piss drunk though." Blaise said, handing the drunk blond to Harry.

"Set him next to you would ya?" Blaise asked. "There's not a lot of room on this couch and I don't wanna sit him next to some rando."

"Oh, uh sure." Harry says, handling Draco and setting him on the ground next to him. Ron was right, he does way a ton.

Draco groaned as he got settled, his eyes closed as he leaned his head on Harry's shoulder. Harry's face flushed, as he realized what was happening.

"Are you alright mate? You look a little red. You shouldn't have asked to come if you were sick." Ron told him.

"N-no i'm okay, thanks." Harry mumbled, staring at sleeping Draco.

"Ah, Fuck. Right." Harry said to himself, shaking Draco awake.

"Oi, what are you doing?" Blaise asked.

"We can't let him sleep, if he has a concussion he could die." Harry says matter of factually.

"Oh..."

"Yeah," Harry spoke. "C'mon Dray you gotta get up. Can't have you dying on me now can I?"

Harry shook his shoulder nudging the older awake.

"Mmph, stop it." He groaned snuggling closer past Harry's shoulder and in to Harry's chest.

"C'mon Draco. Wake. Up." Blaise said hitting Draco upside the head. Draco jerked awake after that.

"Blaise you absolute arse, what was the for?" He mumbled rubbing his eyes and looking over. It took a moment for Draco to recognize Harry but one he did he jumped back a bit and away from Harry's shoulder.

"Holy Fuck! Potter? What are you doing here?" He asked obviously surprised all signs of sleepiness left his face.

"Oh well uh," Harry started, but never finished because Hermione interrupted.

"There you two are! I've been looking for you guys everywhere! Especially you Ron! I have a friend who wants to meet you!"

Blaise's face physically darkened. "Sorry he can't come, he's busy." He said bluntly and dragged Ron away.

"Wait! What about Dray- Draco!?" Harry called after them.

"Just take him home! He knows where his keys are!" Blaise called and ran upstairs with Ron.

"Sorry 'mione! maybe later!" Ron called back to her before he disappeared up the stairs and into the living room crowd.

"What-" Hermione said and then sighed. Looking back at Harry and Draco. "Good luck with Draco, Harry. I'm gonna go see if Blaise has any tequila and drink away my sorrows."

"Ah, well drink safely 'mione! And find a place to stay tonight so you don't have to drive! Okay?" He called, but she didn't respond as she was already up the stairs.

"So I guess you're taking me home then." A voice said from beside him, Harry turned to see Draco who was so close he had no where to look but his eyes. And what beautiful eyes, they were a very pale shade of blue with a few streaks of gray, they reminded Harry of the sky just before a storm came through.

"I uh, guess I am" he breathed.

"Hmph, here." Draco said, tossing him his key's and standing up. Harry caught them clumsily and stood up as well. Following an obviously drunk Draco up the stairs (Harry had to hold him up right for a second, after Draco tripped over a person for the second time.)

When they got up the stairs Harry clung on to Draco for dear life. Even though Harry was the most sober one out of the two Draco knew how to part a crowd. He shoved through, no excuses, no pardons just him shoving through the crowd. Harry admired the way Draco used his broad shoulders to move people out the way. Though he felt bad for Draco's bluntness, so he apologized for him.

"Sorry, excuse me!" He said as they made their way through.

When they finally made it out the door Harry (reluctantly) let go of Draco's leather jacket. Draco looked at Harry, and studied him for a moment. Then all of a sudden Harry felt really self-conscious. Like really self-conscious, he would've ran back in the house if Draco hadn't turned back around and started walking toward the driveway.

"So uh, which one's yours?" Harry asked Draco, breaking the awkward silence that overcame the two in the short amount of time they spent outside.

"This one." He spoke his words slightly slurred as he stumbled and pointed towards a black Mercedes-Benz.

"Oh, alright."

The two walked over to the car, Harry towards the driver's seat and Draco towards the passengers. Once they were both comfortably settled inside the car Harry turned it on.

"I didn't know you could drive." Draco said. Harry assumed he was trying to make conversation.

"Yeah, I uh learned to. Mostly because Hermione and Ron like to party and I have to pick them up sometimes."

"Oh."

It was silent for a few moments as Harry pulled out of the driveway.

"You still live in the same place right?" Harry asked. Draco nodded, he seemed to be dozing off.

"Nope, you can't go to sleep, Dray- I mean Draco. "

"Stop calling me that." Draco whined.

"Calling you....what?"

"Draco. Call me Dray like you used to."

Harry looked over at Draco startled, he didn't expect that.

"I uh...didn't know you still liked me calling you that. I ended up trying to just use your name ever since.....well you know." Harry responded looking back in front of him (as he should have been in the first place).

"What? Ever since you confessed your love to me in middle school." Draco said with a giggle. Harry flushed, he was hoping Draco wouldn't bring it up.

"Yeah," Harry said with an awkward laugh. "A right on carrington, right?"

"Yep."

"Okay, we're almost there." Harry said, turning the car.

It was silent for a few minutes, Harry wanted to break it but there was nothing to really talk about. He wanted to bring up the thing from middle school but before he could Draco spoke.

"Why did you like me back then?" He sounded tired, which was reasonable when they left. It was around 11:30 so it was already pretty late.

"What?" Harry asked. Obviously confused about the question. Draco turned his face away from the window and towards Harry.

"Why did you like me back then?" He asked again. Now Harry understood.

"Oh, well..." Harry hesitated as he thought of the words to say. "...I think it was because you made me feel safe. Like I knew I could talk to you. You were funny too, always making me laugh and included me in almost everything. You were nice and sweet. And just everything I wasn't. You were reckless and wanted adventure. And I really admired that." Harry finished with a soft smile, thinking of all the times he had with Draco when they were kids.

"Oh, we're here." Harry says pulling up in front of Draco's house. It looked different then he remembered. Maybe it had a new coat of paint? Harry was still staring at the house when he realized Draco hadn't responded.

"Dray are you-" he said, turning his head, but was interrupted by lips smashing against his.

Harry's face flushed a bright red when he realized what was happening. He's kissing me, He thought his mouth slack against Draco's. He was right about to start kissing him back when Draco pulled away.

"Did you not like it?" Draco asked, his breathing labored.

"N-no I liked it." Harry breathed.

"Then why didn't you kiss me back?" He asked, sounding a bit upset.

"Y-your drunk Draco, you didn't mean that kiss." Harry said, turning away. No matter how much he wanted Draco to kiss him again, he was under the influence. Hell he could barely even walk on his own, Harry didn't even expect him to remember this come morning.

"Didn't I say to stop calling me that." Draco said again. Pressing his lips right back into Harry's, this time Harry did kiss him back. He wanted to savor this moment because he knew this wasn't likely to happen again.

Draco smiled into the kiss, "there you go, it's not that bad is it?" He mumbled, this time he tried to slip his tongue into Harry's mouth. Harry happily obliged, he's been wanting this for so long. It's even better than he imagined.

Draco crawled into the driver's seat and slipped Harry on top of him. Harry shivered as Draco's cold hands roamed his body. It was all he's ever wanted. This. Right there. With the one he wanted to be with for years. Harry involuntarily began to grind on Draco's lap as they kissed.

"Ah, fuck. Harry-" he moaned in Harry's ear softly.

"Dray." Harry said back. That's when they started to get more aggressive. Draco shrugged off his leather jacket still kissing Harry's soft lips. Grabbing Harry's waist and pulling him closer. It seemed as if Draco never wanted to let Harry go, and of course Harry didn't mind. It wasn't until Draco started to slip off Harry's sweatshirt that Harry suddenly realized their situation.

"Wait Dray-'' he was cut off by another kiss, his sweatshirt slowly coming off.

"Draco wait-" He tried again. This time he was cut off by his sweatshirt being pulled over his head. Draco's soft hands roaming Harry's chest.

"Draco!" Harry shouted. Draco stopped, startled at the sudden scream from the young boy who just moments ago was grinding on his lap.

"What's up?" He asked, he seemed to be genuinely confused.

Harry sighed, and grabbed his sweater which somehow got into the back seat. Harry got on his knees and reached into the backseat. Suddenly he felt a hand slip into his pants. He gasped and quickly grabbed his sweater sitting up. He opened the driver door and quickly got out, pulling Draco's hands out of his pants.

"I- hey! Where are you going?" Draco asked, stumbling out of the car.

"Your fuckin' drunk Draco, I'm not gonna let you fuck me and then regret it in the morning. Keys." Harry said, holding his hands out. Draco sighed and pulled them out of the ignition. Turning off that car, locking the door, and then walking over to Harry, letting his hands linger on Harry's for a few seconds longer than necessary.

"Draco. No."Harry said, snatching the keys from him. Draco snaked his arms around Harry's waist, pulling Harry's ass into his crotch area.

"Please?" Draco pleaded sensually into Harry's ear.

Harry shivered at the feeling of his breath on his ear and it took almost all of his will power to respond. "No, you're drunk. It's not happening. Are your parents home?" He asked, pulling away from Draco's grasp.

"No, they went to this charity ball thing, they're not gonna be back until tomorrow evening." Draco responded as he watched Harry walk up to his front door and unlock it.

"Good," Harry said. "C'mon let's get you to bed." He motioned for Draco to come towards him.

Draco reluctantly walked towards the raven head boy, slow and stumbling every few steps, he did end up making it. Once close enough Harry wrapped his arm around Draco's torso to keep him steady and Draco leaned into Harry's chest. Once again Harry blushed a light red.

"Okay! Up the stairs!" Harry said hurriedly, pushing Draco off of him and steering him in the direction of the stairs.

"But Harry-" Draco started.

"Nope! You're drunk, you're not even going to remember this. I don't know why I let my hopes up." Harry says more to himself than Draco.

Once up the stairs Harry walks down the dark hallway and stops. "Your room is still in the same place right?" He asks.

"Yeah." Draco responded in the dark.

"Good." Harry continued down the dark hallway, the wooden floors lightly creaking as the two made their way to Draco's room.

"Okay." Harry breathed before pushing open the door to Draco's room and reaching beside the door to turn on the bedroom light.

The room was bigger than Harry remembered. The walls were still tan, though instead of being covered with action figures and stickers, there were posters of bands and violent video games.

Draco stumbled in after Harry, bumping into the desk by his door. Harry caught him before he could hit the ground and dragged him over to his bed. Shoving clothes out of his way as he did, "Still as messy as always." He mumbled to himself.

The matching comforter set was green with silver silk pillow cases. Harry laid Draco down on the lush bed and took off his shoes and socks. Draco was already half asleep, so Harry decided he wasn't going to change Draco out of respect for his privacy. Instead he went into Draco's bathroom and checked the medicine cabinet looking for some aspirin for him to take in the morning.

Once he found the aspirin he grabbed a half drunk water bottle off the desk near the door and set it on his nightstand with the pill. With a sigh Harry tucked Draco in, pulling the blanket and sheet from under the taller and placing it over his pale skin.

He looks so peaceful Harry thought to himself and then forced himself to look away. He had almost made it out the bedroom door before he heard, "Wait."

"Huh?" Harry said.

"Wait," Draco mumbled. "How'er you gonna get home?" He asked words slurred.

"I'll walk, I guess." Harry said and started towards the door again.

"Just stay."

Harry paused and turned, "What?"

"I'm sure my mom won't mind, she loves you...plus they're not even here. And I'm not letting you walk home at like 12:30 at night."

"But-"

"Nope, c'mere." The blond said lazily scooting over to make room for Harry. Harry sighed, how can I say no now? He thought and walked over to the bed. He planned to lay down until Draco fell asleep and then leave. But as soon as Harry laid down Draco looped his arms around Harry's waist tightly and held him in place. Harry shifted and tried to get comfortable under the blankets. Once that was done the two sat there in Draco's bed, letting the silence fill their void.

Draco's head snuggled into Harry's back, "I'm sorry..." He said.

"What?"

"I'm sorry about what happened back then..." He said again. "I was an idiot and I said some shit I didn't mean.....I really missed you."

Silence.

"I missed you too, Dray." Harry said with a soft smile, not that Draco could see it.

"Good." Draco said back with a chuckle pressing closer into Harry. And soon Draco's soft snore's filled the room.

Harry thought about getting up. Truly he did, it's just that Draco was holding him down and he could feel his eyelids getting heavy. He was just so comfortable that he couldn't even muster up the strength to try and move. So he laid there and he fell asleep in Draco's arms. If this was a dream, Harry never wanted to wake-up.
